Process of “Discoverer”

The far left corner is where this piece started out as. It stayed like that for about a month. Until I decided it needed a drastic change. I chopped it up and experimented a bit until I got to where you see it now

Sometimes times you just have to take chances. The therapeutic nature of destroying something beautiful is reason enough.

Though, in this case the end result was as pleasing as the process.

Moses Action Figure

I decided to reupload this. I had to delete this since someone was complaining about it. Anyway, this is a Moses action figure made by Accoutrements, who make action figures of famous people in history such as Jesus and Ben Franklin. Moses is a prophet known in the Abrahamic Faiths such as Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Bah'ai, Durzhai, and Samarian faith as the the man who freed his people the Hebrews from slavery and the writer of the Ten Commandments and the Mosaic Laws and the Five Books of Moses. But to atheists, misotheists, and maltheists he's a genocidal mass murderer and a war criminal, and possibly the first fascist. I personally have mixed feelings about him, becuase he freed his people from slavery in Egypt, but at the same time he killed men, women and children in Canaan, and also had some of those people enslaved. In the beginning and in the middle of Exodus, you sympathize with him. But when you get to the end of Exodus, and later on when he dies, you began to believe he is almost to the point of passing Moral Event Horizon. The Canaanites he killed had child sacrifice and commited bestiality as a religious ritual, which is said to why Moses commited genocide against them. But if he did what he did today, he would be tried by the U.N. for war crimes and genocides (or not since the U.N. doesn't do anything)

The figure comes with the Ten Commandments and his staff. The Back of the box talks about his accomplishments such as standing up to Pharaoh and winning an argument with God, and also the Ten Commandments

Moses belongs to the Abrahamic faiths and those who see him as a prophet of God

A cold one on a hot one.

I am using the same drawing as yesterday but trying a different story with it.
I am curious to find out how many stories, moods, weather conditions I can come up with the same location....and a small one at that.( That kitchen is not big).
To be honest, this idea came about because for the past few weeks I have been busier than usual with work and it's been harder to do proper sketches( lack of time AND focus..more important than time in a lot of cases!)...so I figured..well.. I've always wanted to try different seasons, and times in one location and this would be a good time to try it out.
Let's see if for the rest of the week I can come up with something different each day with this!

Despite appearances, this is actually a really personal piece expressing my fears as a father. Well, that and some other wacky sh*t that goes on in my head. This is a custom piece, all wood, individually cut, primed, stenciled, painted and framed by hand (47 pieces of wood to be exact) - measures 6 ft x 4 ft. . Most of the stencils I pulled from Google and DA (all approved), and some are original.
