Her back story was that she was once human but after dying at a young age, her body was given to the secret government program that usually takes the remains of certain deceased and "revive them with artificial technology. and since they were already considered "dead"and identity-less they were made into secret agents or spies . Her Code name is Medus,her hair is made of tough ma liable material, and is in penetrable by bullets or beams XD;;;

FINALY! After hours, and days, and weeks, of hard work on this Dragon, FINALY, I have almost completed my New Dragon Character!.
The only thing for now missing, is the animation controls of the tail, and by this I mean, the control curves that are going to control and drive the splineIK of the tail.
Cuz by now Its just set up for Foreward Kinematics type of animation.
All of the other controls, like the controls of the spine, and vertebrae, legs, and arms, hans and feet are all donne.

It was a big challenge creating a dragon like this one, cuz of his lenght. Its a really long dragon, his lenght its like 8 or 9 times his height, so you get the idea.

Softwares used:
Modeling in Maya.
Sculped in Zbrush.
Texture Painted in Zbrush.
Then Back to maya With Normal Maps, Cavity Maps and Displacement maps exported from Zbrush to Maya.
Rig setUp and Bind in Maya.
Lightning and Rendering in Renderman for Maya.
Composition in After Effetcs.
Final Thoughts in Photoshop. lol?

So.. well, this is the first render, expect more with better lightning, better poses, and better enviroments...

P.S. IM REALLY HAPPY! wujuuuuuuuuuu!!
Today my girlfriend and I celebrates our 1 year and 3 months togeter, and my Dragon its finally ALIVE!!! buuhahahaha

First of all, now im a MARRIED MAN.

The artwork above is my creative interpretation of the things that have intrigued me by reading Dr. Medinas book. I sketched it a few months back and did some modifications in Illustrator. Its my first full vector artwork done in Adobe Illustrator (Yey for me!) after so many years of being stuck with digital painting brushes in Photoshop. I was finally able to have the courage of a Kamikaze pilot to dive right into a whole new style of illustrations.

Softwares used:
Maya for the SpaceShip. This includes modeling, Shading, some texturing, lightning, and so on.
I render in Passes in mental ray for maya. ( Specular Pass, Reflection Pass, Difusse Pass, Indirect Light Pass, Matte Pass, Glow Source and Glow Pass, Oclusion Pass, Depth Pass.)
Texture work handled in Photoshop.
BackGround Made in Vue.
Composition In After Effects.
Final Adjusments in Photoshop.

This image is featured in the 134 issue of 3D World Magazine which is out in the UK on the 26th Aug.

The story so far is that they found my image in cgsociety, and Leanne O'Hara from 3D world send me a Email, asking me if I'll like to be feature in their magazine, cuz they think my image is COOL!

So, im pretty happy about that, and I cant hide my joy.
So be ready to buy it when its ships!

With my aproval, Writter and Director Simon Spieske used My 3D model "Europa - The SpaceShip" in his short film "LIBERATED" which won 1st place at the "Camgaroo Awards" in Munich, Germany.

This is my painting version of the pro RH (Reproductive Health ) poster, but I am anti RH. I just like this concept. (referrence: [link])

RH Now? Why not JOBS NOW? or EDUCATION NOW?

I can't even begin to describe how fallacious this poster is. Take away all the spoons (representing children) except maybe two or even one, kakarampot pa rin ang kanin sa plato.

And if you think deeper, there slogan also describes the situation of the country if RH is implemented: panandaliang sarap, pangmatagalang hirap. ~ I Oppose the RH Bill ([link])

CRITTER PROFILE:
The The Thorn-faced Slickster is a mythical specie discovered at the heart of the Amazon.
This feisty little sprite is as slithery as a lizard and as shifty as a jackrabbit, making it extremely difficult to catch.

At the tip of its tongue is a retractable stinger, which injects a toxin that could kill a full grown man in 30 seconds.

Yep, it could literally lick you to death. He-he-he.

Artsist's Note:

The Skribbles were a little bit hard to see, so I put some outer glow, so the judges won't have a hard time (if ever...hehehe)

Least Tern Chick

While watching several species of terns at Sandy Point, I nearly stepped on this newborn Least Tern chick that was resting in the sand. I quickly backed up and got down on my stomach for some shots. I photographed it resting for about ten minutes, until a much larger Roseate Tern flew low over the colony. The Roseate's shadow spooked the Least Tern chick, causing it scurry down the beach towards its parent. This bird was literally the size of a cotton ball with toothpicks for legs. I almost missed the shot of it running away, as I was literally cracking up. This is late in the season to see a Least Tern this young, so I am assuming this is the result of a pair re-nesting after a failed attempt (usually the result of predation, weather, or nesting too close to the hide tide line).

Wheatley Puppet

Hooray he's finished!! This demanding little robot has been hogging all my free time pretty much since April. I absolutely loved Portal 2 and as soon as I finished it I knew I had to build myself a Wheatley. Because Wheatley is the best thing ever. This guy'll be a prop alongside a Chell costume I'll be wearing.

He's roughly life-sized at approximately 12 inches across (might be an inch or two short of Wheatley's real diameter) and works as a puppet, using the hole in his back for access to his controls. His eyeplate and eyelids both move. He also plays 10 quotes from the game. His eye is lit up in some of the pictures there.. I really wish my camera could deal with the light better. You can actually see all the details when it's lit up, but the camera just washes them all out.

It's kind of a crummy recording. He was being squeaky and I'm still getting used to controlling him, so it was a little jerky. I'll probably record a smoother video and upload it soon.

FAQ UPDATE:
Thank you so much for all the positive feedback. I'm so happy so many people like my little puppet. I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the comments and questions I've been getting, so I thought I should put up a FAQ list of the questions I keep seeing a lot.

1. How much does the puppet weigh?
Just under six pounds.

2. What are his dimensions?
He's about 12 inches across. I don't have lists of measurements for all his details, but honestly none of them are completely accurate. I eyeballed a lot of things.

3. Can I buy one?
I don't have any plans to start selling these.

4. Can I make one?
Absolutely!

5. Can you tell me how to make one?
I've been responding to some people asking for build advice, but I'm afraid it's starting to get kind of overwhelming. I don't think I can keep giving explanations for everything I'm asked. I do have my blog available detailing the basic process, which should be helpful to anyone trying to make their own core. I know the blog doesn't explain every facet of his design, but I didn't really write it as a tutorial. If you're interested in building your own core, don't feel like you have to duplicate my process exactly. There's really no reason to believe the way I did this is the best way. I had no idea what I was doing when I made my Wheatley. I just found my way through the whole process. In the end it made the project that much more rewarding. If you puzzle your way through some of the steps and come up with your own unique solutions, I think you'll be more satisfied in the end. <3

Ok, I lied.

THIS is the toughest piece i've ever had to work on.

I've really been looking forward to showing this baby to you guys and it was finally released this weekend at SDCC - as a poster - over at the Magic the Gathering booth.

I'll unload the epic tale behind the 6 straight months I worked on this piece with about 4-5 hours of sleep a night on top of doing daddy day care - but it's going to have to wait for the coffee-table art-book I'll release in the misty future one day.

This is only at 50% of the full image size - i.e. lifesize, since this is essentially the second "half" of the "Duels of the Planeswalkers" piece I completed earlier in the year.

I mention those few details for those of you who think you can't accomplish your goals in art in the face of enormous adversity.

You can: you just have to be willing to suffer for it.
Make excuses to draw, you'll be glad you did.

Im trying to widdle away at the comments as best I can but I've got a HUGE workload this month and the wife is about to squeeze out our son (Max) literally within a couple of weeks.
I read every comment and they really, really mean a lot to me and my family - so thanks so much for your interest and entertaining banter; we love it!
