This is something I thought I already posted. This was done for a friend at work who had asked for a drawing for his birthday. Although I've never seen it in person, people always comment on his Karaoke performances. So I decided something where he had a microphone would be appropriate. He's not the type to do anything halfway, so I wanted to make him appear very committed to his song.

Anyway, just ink and paper. I didn't have time to color it - maybe after the movie is finished I'll get around to these.

I wanted to end 2012 with a Supergirl picture like I did at the end of 2011 but it took me two tries to get a picture going and I ran out of time lol. So I guess I'll make it a thing where I draw Supergirl at the beginning of every year instead of at the end? Anyway enjoy the pic! It was fun for me to draw and its a good start to the year.

A few weekends ago I was drawing new things and I came up with the bottom drawing - a cave girl doing a little reading. I fiddled around with her feet a bit, and finally came to something I liked. This was way to messy to use, but I liked how it felt, and at the very end I added a little lantern, which made it feel cozy. I had no idea how to suspend it, so I left it hanging, much like the rest of the drawing.

Then a few days later I was requested to draw an invitation for a dinner here at Dream Works. I recalled the sketch I'd just done, and decided to try do a more finished version. I'd try and make the girl look just a little more like the character in our film. I just free-handed the drawing again as best I could. This second drawing is on the top. I could never make my cave girl look like the one in the film, but I shortened her legs as much as I dared and did my best to get her as close as I could on the short deadline. I changed her book into a menu and added a rough little sloth to hold the lantern.

This is a little sketch I drew a few days ago and posted on my blog. I did it mostly as an excuse to let everyone know that the first wave of Ogo mugs have been shipped out, and are now happily filled with coffee, tea, etc. Maybe even pencils!

I wasn't spending a lot of time on the color, which is why the stripes don't make a lot of sense. I skirted the details of how her skirt works. This is why you need a model. Not for the pose, but for those darned fabric folds.

This will be the retro in the future; contemporany headphones like skullcandy, and maybe some kind of radiocassettes, that ones full of skateboarding stickers that we use to had in our rooms when we were teenagers. Also discmans and minidiscs. I loved my minidisc! Till Ipod destroyed it!!

About the colors; I just felt to do something more like fast. I love cell shading styles, and I wanted to try a full picture in this kind of coloring. I think I'll be doing more of this kind.

I named it cupid for easy identification because it was drawn for valentine's day too, but then I also want to call it Liar because she's making things up to deceive herself and others, being content living in the shallows. I CAN MAKE EVERYTHING DRAWING NEGATIVE this is somehow my special artting ability it's quite a problem

The Watertribe Girl has a name now and its Meili, which means beautiful~~[? -can I trust google on this one? lol]~~ A couple people helped me with confirming the name meaning

Anyway this was some practice for the commissions that I'll be doing soon once I start accepting them. It was also a bit of character consistency practice especially trying to keep the hair and face looking consistent throughout each design at different angles.

Sto cercando di avvicinarmi ad un colore più "semplice" (e veloce da realizzare), ma che sia comunque d'impatto, un pò come un cartone animato (poi magari nessuno nota la differenza o peggio, fa cagar...lol)! Inizio ad essere stufa di fare sempre le stesse cose. Considerando che non faccio che colorare dalla mattina alla sera...ecco... francamente, ho sempre meno voglia di perder tempo sulle mie cose. Lo so che è un atteggiamento sbagliato, ma..............OOOOOOOOlèèèè! Ormai son "partita".
La fissa per le pornobimbe tettone, invece, non passerà mai, che vi piaccia o no! XD ciao!

Hey gang!

Long time, no post.

As many of you know, I'm now working at excellent iPhone game developer Booyah. That hasn't really left a ton of time for side stuff. Luckily, late last year I was creating a lot of work but not sharing it with you lovely folks. Why is that "luckily"? That means I have a lot of secret shit that I'll be preparing to share over the next couple months. Hopefully you'll all dig it!

One of those things was for Emerald City Comicon's (info here: [link] ) "Monsters and Dames" book (info here: [link] ). Previous years have been really awesome and I expect no less from this year. If you're looking for an awesome con to go to this (near or far), I can't recommend ECCC enough. I'll be there with my usual wares and signing the M&D book at table I-02 in Artist Alley.
