Kennedy will serve as executive producer on new Star Wars feature films, with George Lucas serving as creative consultant.

Under the deal, Disney will acquire ownership of Lucasfilm, a leader in entertainment, innovation and technology, and its operating businesses in live action film production, consumer products, videogames, animation, visual effects, and audio postproduction. Disney will also acquire the substantial portfolio of cutting-edge entertainment technologies that have kept audiences enthralled for many years. The present intent is for Lucasfilm employees to remain in their current locations.

This image is a collaboration between myself and the custom action figure artist known as Sillof

A few months ago I approached him with the offer of creating a movie poster-style image based on one of his custom Star Wars figure sets and he approved. I chose the Samurai Wars set and this image is the result.

Sillof does amazing work with his custom figures, not just in the figures themselves but also in the detailed stories and character backgrounds he creates for them. One could spend hours viewing the creations on his website (and I have).

This image will be available as a print very soon, so stay tuned for details!

The characters in this piece were all drawn separately on 9x12 Bristol in pencil and colored in Photoshop CS4 using a Wacom Cintiq 21UX.

A new Avengers poster I made. I tried to give this one more of a 60's vibe, via the simplicity of the design and adding nice touches like the Avengers logo being based on the old comic book logo.

It includes all the primary "Avengers" from the upcoming 2012 Marvel Studios picture. ENJOY!

EDIT (July 2012): In response to multiple reports that my poster was being sold on eBay and at comic conventions and such without my consent - and SCREW YOU, whoever's been doing that - and now that the movie's out and has kicked fanboy asses left and right, I've put together this upgraded version. A common criticism of the original version was that the bat logo looked more like lightning than broken glass, so the additional effects ought to clear that up.

ORIGINAL NOTES (January 2011): I had an image in mind of the bat symbol assembled from shards of broken glass - possibly a prophetic vision of how Chris Nolan will open The Dark Knight Rises...but likely not. [EDIT: Turns out it was. Am I good or what!?] In any case, I built on that thought to make this image, of Batman viewed through a hole in a smashed window, looking out into a brighter day against the cold gray of Gotham (the first two films were color-coded sepia and blue, so maybe the third will be in gray tones to symbolize the "shades of gray" that represent the justice system...but I'm getting ahead of things again). [EDIT: Right again!]

The broken glass effect was made by scanning pieces of plastic wrap, then using select portions of those scans. Tiring stuff.
