Back when this was commissioned It was kind of an overwhelming task that was beyond my skills, but with pieces like this one I stepped up to the challenge, and said I'd make it may best work of art yet, and I made it so.
I've learned tons form working on this. probably the most I've ever learned form working on a single piece. There were so many things I didn't know how to render well in this, like the textured walls and metallic luster on the armor and swords. This is a colossal artistic accomplishment for me. ]]>

Had these tulips at my house a few weeks back, and since I have sort of a problem against throwing flowers out when they start to wither I decided to dry out the petals and come up with something for them later So then this happened -- I glued them with eyelash glue on my arm...kind of got itchy after a while, which is a shame since I could have walked around like that all day otherwise Oh and took two petals and used them as earrings by securing them with stud earrings

+ I made that beaded headband myself!

So my new tablet still haven't arrive after 4 months of waiting and my current tablet's stylus is really becoming unstable and dying on me ;w; (probably from all that shake and weight for being in my backpack all the time. So working on the last bit of this image was dreadfully painful and deflating on my creative flow XD. I think I painted this back in Feb, I don't remember haha. I did some finishing touches on it yesterday, because I have long lost the interest to finish the image in a detailed background (with my dying stylus).

I am hoping the new tablet arrive in the next few days so I can do all the requested works and stuff after exams. =/

and first time drawing tiger. Boy it wasn't easy. I better draw more animals XD. I have to thank ~MoonsongStock for their wonderful tiger stock as a reference for me on this one. Thank you.

Almost 200 layers on main image + 90 on the "view from the window", literally weeks of works.. Every night I sat behind my computer and worked on it.. Some crashes, some mid-results I were not happy but But I am very happy with the final result. I have tried before making steampunk images but apparently it have not worked.. Now I have something finished.


Have you ever felt that you are the wrong person in wrong place?

She was always the smart one and also the brave one. Maybe little crazy daring to things other would not and taking every opportunity that knocked in her door. She wanted to become engineer or airship pilot and she dreamed one day building her own ship and taking an eternal voyage to sunset.. she dreamed of glory and making history, chancing something, leaving mark of herself.. But she was just a girl and dreamer.. When they found her and asked if she wanted to serve her country and do big things, she said yes. She had the ambition. She had the will and dreams and so they recruited her to special ops. She was signed to operation "Clockwork".

Some wars are not fought on battlegrounds. Some wars are fought the way we never know they happened. Some battles are kept behind the curtains and sometimes they are never fought with swords or guns but instead of minds and information. Information is sometimes a greater power than any army can be. With right information you know where the weaknesses of enemies are. You can know where they will be and what they will do and you can be one step in front of them, anticipate every move they make and have time to come up with best strategy. That was the purpose of operation "Clockwork".

They knew that her strength was not in skills with weapons or physical strength but it was her mind.. She was smart and she was clever,seeing patterns and details everyone else could miss. So they sent her to infiltrate the enemy, to go behind the lines of battlefield and send her on her own to the mission. She was just a girl, dreamer. She had no qualification, no training.. Just her sincerity, her belief that she was doing the right thing... left alone behind enemy lines with mission to find the information they required.. She did her best.. At least she tried but she was wrong person on wrong place.. she was dreamer not some kind of soldier.. she was the one who believed into beauty and building things.. not in war and destroying.. But she loved the files.. she loved the reading.. but she was dreamer.. and she just leaned to the ladder, closed her eyes.. and dreamed..

And operation "Clockwork" was not going like clockwork...

I got the Macrauchenia model a very long time ago, but never did anything but test renders with it until now. I really like the almost alien look these creatures have. I'm definitely planning on using this model again.

The Macrauchenia were posed in poser then imported into Vue where I constructed the rest of the scene. The render time was approximately 22 hours on an Intel i3 system with 8 GB of RAM.

Everything else is stock vue objects. ]]>

I was originally planning to make a bunch of Nintendo characters in this style, but then I realized most people won't recognize any more than these four anyway, so a decided to animate them instead. Not the most amazing animation ever, but I'm practicing. I just can't animate something where the sprites move around, static animations however I think I'm better at.

Everything is made from scratch, including emote bases.

Like why are Ponyos sister swimming around her and Sosuke while they are appearently running atop a wave.
And why doesn't Fujimoto got a breathing bubble around his head, cause it seems that he is supposed to be underwater.

So, you can see this pic as a collage.
A rather illogical collage.

But hey! I had fun making this piece.
Though I really fucked up Gran Manmare!
I think she is the most beautiful woman Hayao Miyazaki ever put on film and I just wasn't able to catch her beauty with my weak abilities.

Base: a pillar candle holder; size 8 black Chech glass seed beads; regular clear glass marbles with a pearl or rainbow swirl finish on them, found in the floral section.

Tools Used: Needle nose pliers, flush cutter, tape measure, Modge Podge, and a few Q-Tips.

I found a tutorial for the tree by searching online; the outcome varies based on the materials, and your imagination

All tools and materials were purchased at Hobby Lobby, but can also be found Micheal's; most but not all can be found at Wal-Mart. ]]>
