Long time no see people...... So I finally finished this!! God I asked if I can draw one of his characters a looong time ago but I've never started with it 'til now! I love his art is so expressive, and he has such an amazing characters! Gretel is my favorite one from Everafter and I like Wrath a lot too from Living in Sin...but this time I just choose Gretel...
Anyway some clarifications I made a fanart based on the mixture of his Gretel art, so I kind of recreate her dress and made her blond based on this drawing [link] even when her hair is grey or looks like it in the other drawings....eeh nothing to say a little cannibal detail too xD...

Endling Tribute: Red

Sir is quite the genious, might I say. One can only dare describe the amount of creative juice gushing out from that big ol' shell we call his 'head.' Aside from spewing wild imaginations and having a charming sense of humor, his skills are quite the spectacle. All those (quite obvious) years of experience and learning have taken their toll. Finding him was like finding an entire new world... or actually.. finding new WORLDS. Perhaps, I am exaggerating, but truly one thing is for certain...

This guy is freakin' good.

And for becoming one of my greatest inspirations, I found myself to have (unconsciously) made some sort of a tribute to him with his very own *cough*lovable*cough* character, Red--with ol' Big Bad at her back, from his own twisted tale, Everafter. I certainly do not believe I have done his character justice, but all that matters to me is that he'd at least know that.. I tried. XD Aaanyways, keep it up, good sir! This one's for you. Cheers!

If I'm ever upset about something, need inspiration or am bored, I go to Endling's gallery and stare at his work, trying to learn how he achieves epicness through osmosis.

As you can see, I haven't been able to put his teachings to practice very well xD

Screentone practice on some quick doodles. I really love `Endling's "Living in Sin" idea, and the couple of chapters that he did for the 'Vanity of Idols' competition that featured Sloth here (and Belphegor, the eyeball!!) were amazing.

After looking at the picture a while, I've noticed flaws... Like Posies arm is a little long. but it's OK because Rosie and Posies arms can be stretchy at times! 8D woo~! ...

Wanted to try out a Lilith outfit variation.
It's looking kinda "Amidala", but that's what I was going for.

And, actually, those aren't thin cigarettes (like some people think). Just some calming incense to get her in the mood for all that dark voo-doo she's into.

You know me! I avoid coloring when I can!
Right now I feel like coloring would kinda muddy the effect of my lineart (unless I started off with color to begin with). It doesn't feel the same grungy way that natural graphite does.

Ohgod this makes me feel like a giant nerd who's bastardizing other people's characters. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; i'msosorry

Maybe it's just some kind of awkward symptom of being a rufflebutt, but half the time when looking at characters I'm thinking "How would I lolify this outfit?"
So this is mister`Endling's Red, who really isn't too far from reaching frilly status as is. Just needs some petticoats and more uh, I guess 'realistic/practical' design? Or at least practical for lolita fashion. _{Though hooded caplets and aprons aren't used too often...}

I blame the fact that brands have been using fairy tales as print-themes for a long time now; specifically this BTSSB Red Riding Hood print.

It was just a quick bunch of sketches and doodles (and a very sloppy last-minute colouring job). Had I the time, I would have made up a ballin' violent print for her skirt and added pintucks and probably some ruffle detail here and there. YEAAAH IGGY SHOULDERBAG.

I prefer her original design much more though, haha. I imagine it'd be harder to KICKASS AND TAKE NAMES with a petticoat in the way. At least the bloomers would protect from any panty-shots?

AND NOW HANDWRITING AND JARGON TRANSLATION, for those who can't read my squiggles, and don't speak the language of rufflebutts (from up to down; left to right):
