Anyways, the girl as you can hopfully tell is totally repainted, the little fairy had to be the most easy and fun thing to paint. A spent many hours on this....

I call this painting The Dark Elf, for lack of a better title..lol. She is a Drow Preistess conjuring up some kind of wicked spell.
The Drow are an evil race of elves that live underground and only come out at night, for they lose their powers in the sunlight. Their society is run by the females as they are the most powerful sorcerers and the most intelligent. They worship the demon Spider Goddess Lloth or Lolth, hence the spider circlet on her forehead.

This is my first contest entry ever. I kinda rushed through it, with all the packing and moving going on, but I hope you all like it anyhow.

O ya..and I spelled my first name in Runes on her spell book!!! heheh ]]> [link]

Her eyes swung to the moon, hanging heavy in the sky, hours only and it would be upon her. She struggled to contain the heaving of her stomach, the flutter inside that spoke to fears not yet realized. Would he come? Would he accept such a gift? She didn't know, and again her stomach turned over, body fighting the need to scream, cry out, do anything but this horrible waiting.

She'd made the circle as she'd been taught, spoke the words, everything had been prepared with the meticulous attention to detail. She was known for that, in this small part of the world not many could read, let alone follow the skittery looking script of her Teacher's spellbooks. It was as if the lettering wanted to escape the page itself, write the words upon the frame of the world, come to life with the breath of the wind.

"Child."

She jerked her head to left trying to sort through the evening gloom to find the voice.

"Calm thy heart, I am here."

She still couldn't see him, in fact the voice seemed centered in the palm of her hand. That couldn't be right, and she blinked her eyes, trying to see.

"F-fforgetten one?" Unsure, hestitant, and her heartbeat echoed in her chest.

Everything you see is done digitally on PSCS2...and I've come to realize how much I loathe painting in Photoshop. The effects were good...especially on the giant "Hunter Robot"...but the painting for the main characters took ages...

Characters: Robot holding his Love/Light as she's fading into nothingness...in the background is the giant Hunter that's going to put an end to his life as well...but it's insignificant for all that matters is what he's already lost...

Anyways, this piece took ages! I lost count after the first 10 hours or so....

is running

This is Tytan the centaur, a god of sorts, reigning through the dark moons; Titan, Europa, and our moon. He can have anything he wants, because the world is at his fingertips. Definetly an aged being, not so much phsyically, yet more of a wisdom/experience sort of way. He is the gate keeper; the watcher to a new life - not so much enternal. His strength and power lays within his soul though his body definetly regain's control. They say Centaurs were believed to have the general characteristics of wild, lawless and inhospitable beings, the instruments of their animal passions. Not many had the ability to care, and furthermore become gental creatures that lacked the high strung hearts that the legendary folklores explained.
