Since I know I won't have time to paint you a pretty Christmas pic this year (like the other years before), I would at least share with what I create my pictures.
This is one small bunch of my selfmade custom brushes for Photoshop.

Some brushes can be a pain in the bum to use especially because their texture and style is so distinctive that changing brushes whilst painting can turn into a negative part of creating an image for the starters among the digital artists.

So I tried to create brushes that are simple to use for shading, detailing, etc.

I hope you enjoy, my dears.

How to load brushes into your program:

- Select the brush tool or hit the key "B" to select the tool.

- Click next to the arrow of the shown brush on the upper tool bar to open the "Brush Preset Picker".

- click the small arrow on the right side next to where you see the pixel size.

- then select "Load Brushes" and choose the files.

- there you go! The brushes will be loaded underneath all your other brushes.

- enjoy!

P.S:: You don't need to but it would be lovely (and also because I'm so curious) if you could link me your works for which you used these brushes. :]}

I've started up this profile as a 'Vintage Stock' account which will display images, particularly from my favourite era, the 1920's. These have been collected through trawling through thousands of images online and are in my opinion the cream of the crop, both high in definition and just all around stunning. I started this up because I will be using them in my own artwork and its easy to link the images to this account, but also since others may benefit from easy access to them.

As I do not own any rights to these images they are for you to use as you wish both inside and outside deviantART. You do not have to ask for my permission nor note me of their use - however a link back to your artwork would be nice!

This set of gears as transparent PNGs can be used in any program that will support *.PNG files. Photoshop, GIMP, PSP, and many more - even Microsoft Paint! Most of the images are fairly high resolution, with an average size around 1200 pixels.

Included are several gears on their own, put together, and also a group view from an angle. Great for your steampunk designs!

This is the first of our transparent PNG sets, so allow me to explain how you would use them. These are pretty straightforward. They have a transparent background, so when you open this file, you will be able to copy/paste them right into your own designs and not need to do much else to them. They are ready to use! Commercial licenses are still available as with our other resources, at $3 per set.

¿Qué sucederá con los seguidores de José Alejandro Lora Serna cuando éste muera? Pues algo de ésto se trataba el artículo de la revista Switch para el cual realicé ésta ilustración, y del cual no recuerdo muy bien. Sin embargo les comparto ésta curiosa caricatura.

Alex Lora, como muchos sabràn, es el cantautor mexicano y vocalista de la banda de rock y blues mexicana, El Tri. Entre sus canciones exitosas destacan, "Metro Balderas", "Las Piedras Rodantes", "El Niño Sin Amor", “Que padre es soñar”, "Oye Cantinero" y "Triste Canción de Amor".

Alex Lora fué distinguido el 23 de octubre del 2008 con su estrella en el Paseo de la Fama en Las Vegas, anunciaron los organizadores de la ceremonia.
El reconocimiento al líder de la agrupación El Tri coincidirá con la celebración del 40 aniversario de la creación de la banda, que en sus orígenes era conocida como Three Souls In My Mind, pero que Lora optó por darle una expresión coloquial.
El precursor del rock mexicano fue nominado y aprobado por unanimidad por el Comité Directivo del Paseo de las Luminarias para otorgarle la estrella de más de 100 kilogramos.
Con 43 producciones musicales realizadas en esta carrera, El Tri ha sido nominado en numerosas ocasiones y ganador de varios reconocimientos.

Aqui comienza este tutorial para enseñar a hacer imágenes en VECTORES (ilustraciones a base de cálculos matemáticos, ligeros, que a diferencia de los pixeles, no pesan tanto y guardan mejor resolución).
