This piece...has been a beast. At least 50 hours have gone in to this thing. And it has had a mind of it's own the entire time. I started off with a very different idea of how this would turn out, but it kind of took the reins and well, here we are. And I am rather pleased, even if it didn't take me where I thought I was going.

Also, I had to do a little post-scan editing, because the scanner that was used left a rather strong purple tint going on. As a matter of fact the purples in the piece are a bit earthier in real life, but I didn't have the heart to tone them down completely. I kind of liked them this way.

You do not have permission to use my work in any way, shape or form. If I catch you stealing my work, I will sic some rather nasty monsters on you, and I promise that you will regret it.

and attention I could muster. As I proceeded, from a very early stage in the
painting, one word kept popping into my head: Golem. As so it came to pass
that I looked it up on Google/Wikipedia etc etc only to find that a Golem is a
clay figure that is brought to life by magic. The word derives from Hebrew
meaning 'A Shapeless Mass...an anthropomorphic being.'
