So during my time as a ninja under the radar I've been working on a mobile game called Hamster Drop.

A small team is handling the game and I'm the sole artist responsible for character design, background design, interface, and all animation.

Needless to say, it hasn't been easy to keep up with.

Thankfully, reception for the demo at PAX East just this past weekend has been nicely positive, enough for me to get the greenlight to start taking the lid off of what I've been up to.

Over the next couple of months leading into the summer release I'll be dropping some character art and animation from the game here in my gallery.

There's also a facebook page, if you're into clicking like buttons.

Thanks for putting up with my absense. I've quite a bit more things to show, but there'll be a time for that.

So this piece was inspired by a strange situation. I was contacted about one of my designs that had been taken by yattawear dot com (or by a designer supplying to this brand) and while I was there I came across some pretty cool pieces. I had a look around to see if they had taken these pieces in particular [link] & [link] from unsuspecting designers or if it was original piece, but no luck...I'm hoping that if it is the former someone who knows the original artists can please let them know their work has been used by the site. I have the feeling that there may be more than just my piece that has been used unlawfully.

I’ve been experimenting with doing pixel art by painting them at double-size before reducing them (Nearest Neighbor) and detailing pixel-by-pixel. While I’m detailing, I’ll reduce the number of colors a few times, too. (This is in Photoshop.) Seems to work alright!

Note: I uploaded this before as a .png but decided it'd look better as a .gif - sorry if you commented/favorited the other one before I deleted it!

I've been wanting to do something like this for ages! More dinosaurs, yes yes.
I really should have worked out the forms a bit better in the sketch stage before I started painting I think, but anyway... Also I'm not sure if their tails were actually that flexible, but hey! Getting there.
Heavily based off an Egyptian Vulture colour- and feather-wise here.

This is still a work in progress and eventually it will end up in an outdoor environment. These are made up of 3 textures, made from scratch with nDo2. I then used dDo as a base for the diffuse before adding my own details to them.

The top picture is rendered in UDK, and the bottom two are rendered in Marmoset. The top screenshot is a more accurate representation of how it will turn out in the end as it has stuff like baked lightmaps and reflections as well as a much more complex and flexible material network.

I made this up last year in 2012 for fun & to brush up on my Hard Surface skills. Just getting around to showing him off now!

This is the low poly model captured realtime from my viewport in 3dsmax using the Xoliul shader.

Hes about 6500 tris and uses 2 x 1024 and 1 x 512 maps.

Created using Zbrush, 3dsmax & Photoshop.

So I was playing Munchkin with some friends yesterday and wondered what it might be like to illustrate the main characters in something of a more realistic style - these are just the two 'standard' Munchkins (seen at the top here) - but it'd also be fun to draw up some of the characters you end up playing as, especially with some of the extra sets.

A show poster image I created recently for Gateway Entertainment Singapore for their new magic musical. I chose a more surrealistic approach to illustrate the story, which was really fun to do. Hope you like it!

VISION is a spectacular magic adventure through time and space: thrown into the depths of an alternate dimension, join Lawrence & Priscilla as they disappear into an alternate dimension, trapped in the deepest and darkest depths of Priscillas subconscious. probably had skin before burned a little in the Earth's atmosphere. Most of the metal armor he wears is actually scavenged from dead bodies on the battle field. The skull armor is from anicient beasts native to his land. On his planet, Fossil fuels= gold.... But they also drink it like booze.. HAH!
2483 tris. Limit was 2500... Not to keen on the armor not having thickness. Probably gonna add a few polys before I rig this dude.

Well here it is! finally got a higher rez render out of Maya. After searching some forums i discoverd that setting a color map as incandescence to a default lambert material allows me to render without any lights effecting the polygons! dont have to screen cap for a turn around huzzah!
I think ill model a base for this guy and learn to rig in Maya with em!...

This is Bogatyr the Brawler. If i had to put a class name on him Ide say he is a hybrid between a Monk,Theif, and Druid.
He mainly focuses in hand to hand combat and stealth tactics.
He is a student of life and nature.
Instead of having a physical martial art instructor, he was taught by his grandfather an ancient natural language that enables him to observe and record the fighting techniques of animals and the destructiveness of natural disasters. He then uses these observations with a combination of mantras located in the locked book on his back to summon elemental forces or spirits of animals to boost his martial art attacks.

This is my 3rd character practice work. It's a fan-art on World of Warcraft and this is some kind of common gnome character, but I don't know who is he and what did he do there. Anyway I saw this guy on loading screen and this how i got an idea.
Took me about 20-25 hours to made this, but yet I see to many issues. Next time I'll try to make some chic character instead.
