Is it 3D? Nope, all of my work is painted in Photoshop CS3.

Textures? I generally use the basic hard and soft brushes. On the skin I used a speckled sort of brush for pores, etc. Apart from that the rest of it was hand painted.

How long did it take? I don't have a lot of experience with beards, especially close up so figuring that out took some time. Amidst other projects, this piece took me about 2 weeks to complete.

Is it the Big Friendly Giant? It was my inspiration most definitely, but I didn't want to copy directly from the book. This is my own interpretation of a BFG.
