Why I Think Twilight Sucks

I've noticed some people downloading this, so I guess I'll just say this; you may distribute this as you please (in fact, print it out and hand out the wad of papers to Twitards at movie releases, book clubs, etc.) but I'd like you to credit me. I'm adding a part about Jacob and my URL, so it'll be complete and you may use it as you please.

Don't think I'm some hyper-obsessed Twihater. I hate it, I just won't strangle a Twitard (that didn't try to strangle me first for dissing the book). This was actually just casual writing (yes twitards, this is casual for a good writer like me; then again, you like Twilight, whadda you know about good writing?), and I never realized how much I despised Twilight. There was never a book I HATED, just books I didn't like or thought were written badly. But Twilight... I just HATE everything about it. And here's a few reasons why.

Just so you know where I'm coming from, I've read the entire "saga" plus the excerpt of Midnight Sun. I used to think Twilight was okay and was interested to see how it would progress (and possibly save itself as the series went on). It ended up digging its own grave in my soul.

NOTE FOR TWITARDS:

I don't care what you have to say if you don't care what I have to say. Well, I'll never care what you have to say, because you're wrong. If you don't even bother to read the article above, then don't bother telling me "u suck" or "it's a good book". I disagree. Why? Oh, gee, I wonder... *points to deviation above*

9 texture brushes+Dragon Scale

Simple enough...some random brushes for the GIMP

er...I was talking to ~BethanyLK and =Shad-Wolf, and one thing got to another so I decided to create this tiny brush set...tell me what you think of them

...and to be honest, when I still needed brushes I was looking DESPERATELY for a Dragon scale one...so now I decided to create this one because I don't want that to happen to others

Easy enough tutorial step by step for installing them

...this is for the GIMP (I have 2.6 but I think it should work fine on others)...I seriously don't know if they would work for Photoshop since they are not .abr files

I did this piece for the James and the Giant Peach contest. I loved the book as a kid, so this contest really spoke to me! I had a few more things I thought about adding to the picture, but I really liked it this way. I drew it in GIMP, took a few days. In this picture, James is riding the peach through a cloud of hot air balloons, waving at the people in the baskets as he floats by.

Thorim is the one standing up, Lorich is playing hide and seek and my old sweet Owain is sleeping

Thorim and Lorich, siamese seal point hooded mismarked velveteen rats, born june the 1st, 2010 (their eyes are really that dark), they are brothers (I've also got another little one from the same unwanted litter : Thjazi, who's got standard coat).

They are the most adorable rats ever : playful, cuddly and licky to death, they'd do ANYTHING to show how much they love their humans

They come from an unwanted litter. Their mother was pregnant in a pet store and was about to give birth to her babies, she would soon have become snake food. Fortunately, a girl who was there to buy some bedding found her and took her home

Owain, himalayan seal-point hooded standard rat, born june 2008

He pretty much looks like a siamese but is an Himalayan : he was almost all white when I got him, the points just started to appear and there was no creamy tinge at all in his fur. He became much darker than I would have imagined!
He's my biggest rattie, he suffers from metabolic troubles which made him obese (there's unfortunately no way to make him lose weight without causing damages to his kidneys, so he'll remain fat during his whole life ). He is a big and very cuddly boy who loves to lick everyone's fingers (especially when one scratches his back ^^)

Thjazi didn't want to pose with his brothers and friend so I let him play with Fenrir while I was photographing them

The Queen of Hearts : The Red Queen governs with an iron hand the wonderland. Misanthropist and haemophiliac, she has this puzzling passion for red blood, particularly the one that she judges as being the most beautiful of all, the one of a fraishly cut head... She dreams to see Alice's one poured, persuaded that the red of innocence is the purest one. Feared, she doesn't hesitate to cut heads for a yes or for a no... A golden rule not to contradict !

His alter ego, the King of Hearts isn't typical either ... On the contrary, he likes seducing and hates cutting heads. Hate to cut it ? Oh don't misunderstand. Quite at least in the form of public execution... His hobby? Make it himself, "in private". And yes ! The King is a player, narrow-minded... and necrophilous. In the back of his bedroom, a room filled with shelves and well kept in formalin, the heads of his conquests. He, doesn't cut heads when they do not please him but exactly the contrary, when they please him !! And the cute Alice could rather become the masterpiece of his collection...

Storyboard : Alice is a 17 years old youngman like others... or almost... It has been 5 years now that Alyss, his twin sister has done this funny dream... But not only her. He had the same too, seeing all his sister had done. 5 years spent wondering if it really was one. They were both living peacefully while one night, 2 years before our history begins, Alyss suddenly never woke up again, lost into a deep coma, as if she was sleeping. Alice was deeply affected by his sister illness, yet, tried to stay the more cheerful he could, thinking it would make her heal sooner. Nevertheless, he was hiding his loneliness into that peaceful existence untill that night, while resounds the knell of the twelve knocks of the clock and that a mysterious shadow bends over her bed. Before he can realize, a hand is stuck on his mouth to make him shout of surprise quiet. Then he recognizes the strange man who is no one but the White Rabbit! Urgently begged, and mistaken for Alyss, he is requisitioned to come to the help of the Wonderland which is at its worst and in full winter: the seasons have been reversed, the day falls and the evening gets up, the diurnal go out at night and vice versa, etc... Even the genders have changed ! When he wokes up, the White Rabbit even became a female ! The reason of such a shake-up? The theft of the time which has been inverted at the same time... Wrongly accused and threatened by the Red Queen, he has no other choice than going looking for the lost time. For that purpose, he will literally have to pass through the other side of the mirror, the invaluable artefact held in the room of the queen and where reflections appears reversed. What he discovers ? A world completely similar to the Wonderland under normal circumstances ! His biggest threat? The dangerous Heart King who does not seem white in this story... Morover, the mistery of Alyss sleep seems to be related...

Raison d'un tel chamboulement ? Le vol du temps qui a été inversé par la même occasion... Accusée à tord et menacée par la reine rouge, elle n'a d'autre choix que de partir à la recherche du temps perdu. Pour cela, elle devra littéralement passer de l'autre coté du miroir, précieux artefact détenu dans la chambre de la souveraine et donnant l'image à l'envers. Ce qu'elle y découvre ? Un monde en tout point semblable au pays des Merveilles en temps normal mais ou tous les genres et les caractères sont inversés ! Sa plus grande menace ? Le dangereux Roi de coeur... qui ne semble pas blanc dans l'histoire...

Version BL : Alice est en fait le frère jumeau d'Alyss, tombée dans un profond coma deux ans auparavant notre histoire.

Once again, I'm using construction paper. Also, I didn't have to arrange or resize anything. This was all cut and pasted in *gasp* REAL LIFE!

Lol, I feel like a cheater for using a grass brush. But I just didn't have the mental stamina to go and make a bunch of blades. xP
And I told myself "DONT USE CELL SHADING DONT USE CELL SHADING DONT USE CELL SHADING" But in the end I couldn't handle NOT using cell shading xwx so two Zans have special shading cuz I liked how they looked too much and didn't want to replace it with cells.

But I feel AWSM for making my own letters~ Every single letter, exclamation point, and speech bubble was drawn by me ^w^ They were actually really fun to do. I feel like making a brush of 'comic letters' or something... but maybe later. |3

Oh yes! and if you look real close, I added something that I remember from Zan's earlier comic. She said it was important and I remembered it~ So if you know what I'm talking about GOOD FOR U >w<

Another test for my Intuos 4 to see how it works. It's soooo much more sensitive than my Intuos 3, and the texture on the tablet is a little different, so I wanted to work out my problems

I'm VERY happy with this one, and Toast was the guinea pig

He was supposed to be all cheeky and full of himself, but the more and more I worked it, the more depressed he became... Which, Toast can be more than Toast's are. Maybe next time~

So I was playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days last week, and I thought about how it's so cool how Roxas, Xion, and Axel eat sea-salt ice cream, talking. XD Anyway, I had the silliest idea, and told that one day during the summer, we should eat sea-salt ice cream when it was sunset. Whether or not she's put it in her summer book, I don't know, but the idea is going to be done. Currently, all we have to do as of now, is find a good ice cream mold so that it comes out perfectly; as well as similar sticks.
Speaking of those sticks... suggested we have two WINNER sticks, which I'm perfectly fine with. This is gonna be sweet, and salty!

I'm personally hoping this is how it's going to look like, but ya never know...

I don`t know about these two bit I feel tired after drawing them > >;

I didn`t want my gallery to get filled with commission pics only so here`s something cheesy..

I have a thing for drawing couples either asleep or about to fall asleep lol so there was this epic fancy ball they had on St. Valentine`s day that had all these dramatic twists and such (of course!) but in real doubt they`ll actually get the chance to sit down and rest .. Epsilon is going to ruin the lovey dovey moment being the villain he is.

Gah, so busy with 99 things rushing through my head and I keep forgetting 97 of these things (Go me!) I`ll catch up on the comments guys..seriously TT;;

Sorry, I have NO IDEA why the colors warped like that O_O;

I edited mine just a wee bit, cause I can't find anything from when I joined dA-2003. Hope you don't mind

One of our first projects in Drawing 3 (Fall 09), and by far my FAVORITE from the class. I think it goes to say I still look at it and go 'I DREW this?! I'm PROUD of it

We had to pick a sketch out of a book in class and base our drawing off of that. I picked Peter Paul Ruben's sketch here [link] ! I made Jay pose...poor guy ♥

I got questioned why I put it so far off to the side, but I like it. I think it draws you to him more. I adore Jay's smile, I really do

GIMP Rake-tool brushes

This GIMP-only brush set produces an effect similar to the "Rake tool" of PainterX. I couldn't find this feature anywhere so felt I should create this anim-brush to simulate the tool in GIMP.

The Rake is a very versatile animated art brush, usable for creating everything from grass and hair to patterns, cross-hatches and technical sketches.

The package contains three Rake brushes, with a rake of 3, 5 and 11 teeth respectively. You are recommended to use at least GIMP 2.4 for full brush scaling features. The brush also works fine with a tablet and pressure sensitivity. To install, just Download the set, unzip it and put the *.gih files in a place where GIMP looks for brushes.

They are free to use, but if you download and use them a fav here on DA is appreciated.

And it was something I could easily do at work...since MS Paint is capable of copying and pasting xD

Some of the months were hard to choose, because I liked so many of the pics I did...while like May, August and September...I really didn't have a choice, I posted like 2 things each of those months WOW I got lazy...

I even ended up picking my Illustrations for STATEMENTS magazine over the Boyfriend/Girlfriend meme, even though I like the meme better, it wasn't my best-artistic wise.

And August's is the FANFIC for SO3 I've been writing, not the picture I use for it, I did that uuuhh...like August of last year...but it was either the fanfic or the quilt block I did for my family reunion, and a combine didn't really fit with the rest of my stuff XD

And April's...well, I redid the picture in April, though I drew it in February I think...so I put it in April?

I'd like to think I improved...? I dunno, from the meme though it just looks like I haven't evolved at all...*sigh*

I chose Hobble because atm I see two squirrels every day on my way to the office. Those two little critters live in the park near my apparement and they are so busy collecting nuts and berries. It's effin cute!

Introducing Hobble:
Hobble is a new chubbanimal who lives on an oak tree. He forgets a lot of things and is a total Johnny Look-in-the-air. He falls down the branches so often that you might think he does it on purpose.

Mario and Luigi find a photo album that brings them into a flashback of Super Mario Bros, then Mario tells Luigi to get a life.

This may be the last one for a while, for the Wii has sucked my life/brain/cares/dust away.

Also this is the first one without Petey since he showed up... Hhhhuh. Ah well, next one focuses on him more.
