_{Commission for ~PandaSaysRoar, with her absolutely beautiful character, Ainslee. I'm serious, she is beautiful, and I had an extremely interesting experience while maniping her. I also spent quite a long time on this particular piece, with actual attention to detail *gasp* I know right? Me and detail don't mix, and usually it shows in my work. But I honestly am in love with this, and although it's not nearly as good as some other works I've seen recently, I'm quite proud of myself.

I would also like to thank =TheCallyBear for the enormous inspiration (god her art is perfect), and *Patchwork-Hearts for the pretty song.

She is my original character

So I'm finally finished. That background, OH LORD! Why do I do this to myself? Layers upon layers of greys and blues and filling huge spaces with tiny pencil led...oh well, I'm just glad to be finished with it. I am proud of the fact that I forced myself not to rush the background because for all it's aggravation, it came out beautifully. I don't know what it is about clear, crisp, starry night skies that I adore so much but I just love them!

Background rant out of the way, I'm so happy with how this turned out! It's a little darker than on paper. You can't really see the twinkle of some of the stars. Plus her eyes are supposed to be a greenish blue. I had to photograph it b/c it wouldn't fit on my scanner, but after much pain and suffering I finally got a decent shot. I've decided her name should be Naomi. One of my all time favorite names. I know there are several mistakes here, especially with anatomy. Mistakes I didn't really noticed until after I colored her (of course). But all in all I'm thrilled with how she came out. The eyes, lips, hair and skin are my best parts here. I did manage to draw a dress that didn't make me feel like a complete failure. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy! (By the way, in full view you can see her eyes much better)
