It's been well-documented that, somewhere during production, I cropped off the background of my Caitlyn painting, never to be seen again... except during that one livestream progress video. I had intended to doctor the background together again at some point, but alas I couldn't find any versions of it that were far along enough in production or at high enough a resolution to use for a wallpaper, so I gave up.

Then suddenly today, I stumbled across a long-lost process PSD with the background intact...

Rainbow Dash x Fluttershy is my favourite hypothetical pony-pairing.
I realise it won't happen in canon, but I think that Rainbow Dash would make a great knight in shining armour to Fluttershy's damsel in distress. I loved the episode where Dash fought for Fluttershy's honour in Cloudsdale. So cute!

But feel free to take this as friendshippy if you're not into the pairing. They're cute as friends too. ^__^

A sneak peek at a piece I've been hacking at for more than a week. It would have been done sooner..but I'm struggling with myself to either FIX the ISSUE I can't seem to find.. or FINISH the DARN thing...... There's something off and I haven't figured out what yet.... ARGHHH!! *tears hair out* It bothers me that they are not quite to scale for each other.. Aeris(th) is a -SHORT- gal.. and zack is a decent height.. Short and tall couples... darrnnn youuuuuuuu..... *shakes fist*.. but this isn't tooo bad of a problem to not let me finish the piece.. hrnnnnn...

For me this is the happiest moment of the wohle movie, so I spent a lot of time and attention on both the characters and the background. I wanted to capture their emotions and the blooming flowers represent their feeling of happiness and joy quite well.

This was an entry for NintyFans' happiness contest (ended on Oct. 3, 2010). Kisses to everyone who voted I cannot thank you enough.

(and just as I was starting to blow kisses of gratitude the song "Wherever You Will Go" - The Calling starts playing. Strikes me that "I'll Go Wherever You Will Go" might also have made a decent title for this picture).

I was inspired to make something with a lot more characters in it. But as always when I decide to do something ambitious because I am starting to accept that I do not have a life life comes at me like a jealous ex. Bye bye picture with an actual thought behind and where I was finally going to succeed with digital coloring.
But I was set on entering this contest (I've missed too many already) so I did what I always do: I throw something together at the last minute telling myself that it is better than nothing. This time it ended up being a watercolor of Link and Zelda. Now, I admit I did spend a fair amount of hours on this but I would still call it a quick work. I got bored halfway through (points to lazy 30 second background) and what was mauled the most by my laziness were Link's hands. Hence why we got this lovely white blurry frame to hide the worst mistakes.

There are a lot of ways to interpret the relationship between Link and Zelda. Whether one likes to think of them as friends or something more or less one must at least admit that there is a special bond between them. No matter how many times Hyrule calls for a hero its princess will be there at his side. No matter if their tale is a tragic one or more of a sweet fairy tale. I like to imagine that they offer each other comfort. Through good times and through bad they can rely on the other to be there.

To me these two represent the greatest source of joy for one another. I am naively hoping that I could capture happiness even with this cheap outlook on the subject.

Hey guys!!

It's been A WHILE since I've been so excited to submit something, really. <3 I was having so much trouble with Photoshop =_= But I got Corel Painter and it was a lot of fun to edit with!!

Anyway, now for the picture. I learned that some people call moon "oceans"/craters a "Maria" and that there is a crater on the moon that artists have been interpreting for ages that actually looks like a girl. So, I took this and did what I could with it.
I started thinking about how the moon represents Satan in some religions and the sun represents God. I've been very into face-paint recently as you can see and the triangles around her eyes represent the "all-seeing eye", which is basically a God-like eye that is said to see all, blah, blah, blah, but it's always shown in a triangle.
Night is a time when people ignore God and commit most sins, a "Satanic" time and I tried to show that God (and even the DEVIL) are always watching...
The devil is watching from the "Maria"s on the moon!! She is a Maria and he's watching through her all-seeing eyes, I guess to make it simple and literal to the picture XD

Haha so yeah that's that, it's super complicated, I'm sorry if you're confused.
