Whew, man, so. . . the holidays. My girlfriend tells me I'm not allowed to hate the holidays, but I'm sorry! Christmas sucks when your poor!! I'ts kinda weird when your a kid all you wanna do is get a buncha stuff without even a thought of other people, but as an adult I'ts alot more fun to give someone something AWESOME and watch them spaz out when you give them that perfect. . . whatever.

. . . okay, I don't know where that came from but whateves brah!

I've never considered myself a boobie artist, left to my own devices I'd just draw video game fan art. Buuuuut It's been good for me to draw this character, I feel like I've gotten better at drawing women as a result. Of course anyone seeing them will dismiss me as a total pervert, but stick around! All I did was just extract the models from Mass Effect 2's PC assets, bring them into 3ds Max, throw their textures on them, and then I moved them around to pose them.

(The models and all of their assets belong to BioWare.)

Commission piece of Carol Danvers aka-Captain Marvel(formerly Ms. Marvel) from Marvel Comics. Done on Canson drawing paper with ink brush pens, warm and cool Copic markers, white prismacolor pencil, and Uni-ball Sigma white pigma pens. Entire thing including the start field was done traditionally.

Teen Titans, Repaneled

It's been nearly two years, but I've made my return to the Repaneled blog this week, daring to remake an iconic Gil Kane splash page from the original run of Teen Titans. Man, now that I typed it out, what the hell was I thinking? Keep in mind, I wasn't trying to outdo Kane, because come on, that's not happening. The guy is a legend. Rather, once I got the image in my head of the "Girls mature faster" dynamic of the teen heroes, I had to put pen-to-paper (-to-pixels).

Thanks so much for all the nice responses to the Dejah Thoris sketch! I really appreciate it!

Here's the second one I did. Zatanna on a comic sketch cover. I used to hate doing these covers, but the materials have gotten so much better I actually like to draw and color on them now. It's a nice size to work at, not too big and not too small. As long as you don't have to do a full, head-to-toe figure.

This is the final color art version of the cover to Songes Tome 2 Célia . This is the 2nd and final volume of the graphic novel series I worked on with French writer Denis-Pierre Filippi. The book is scheduled to ship in France in October 2012 - later elsewhere including the US.

This is actually the second version of the cover as I never liked the original solicited version so I went ahead and redrew and recolored on my own.

Art was colored in Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Intuos Graphic Tablet.

Art was drawn with Light Blue and HB Lead Pencil on 13 x 19" 500 Series Strathmore 2 Ply Bristol Board. It was then significantly cleaned up in Photoshop.
