Man I am flyyying through these! I actually have a [sort of] deadline. Got a big job coming up in...who knows when. Maybe next week, maybe the week after. Plus the release of Diablo 3 is going to see ALL my free time occupied for at LEAST 2 months hahaha.

Couldn't decide if I wanted helmet on or off. So I went with helmet on...but mask up Half and half!

I was slightly dreading painting the armored suit and keeping it smooth, but maintaining the "matte" sort of texture...but I figured it out eventually. I accessed my old skills of rendering vehicles from my last commercial job I really just overlayed a "suede" fabric texture over the armor to dull it down!

Photoshop CS5
12 hours or so.
Airbrush + Texture brushes.
Dodge/Burn and Sharpen/Blur for finishing touches!

A time ago (arround 2008 or so) I done a lot of pics related to an particular culture I love: The Selk'nam, also known as the Ona... they lived in the Patagonian region of southern Chile and Argentina including the Tierra del Fuego islands. Kran & kra: Is the Selknam name for the Sun and the moon.

On the days when there were the howenh (ancestors), the sun, moon, rivers and the stars were passing by the world, Women dominated the men telling them what to do, subordinating them and subjecting them to their whims, they dutifully kept the hut, worked leather, caring for children and hunted. The decisions were made by women without having them say, however, men were strong and able to revolt, which led them to find a way to maintain this situation. These included that the woman moon under her direction:

She invented a secret game that began with the construction of a remote hut where they stayed at home most of the time and which was prohibited from entering the men. In these meetings, women were starting to young adulthood, times when the body is painted with special designs, covered his face with masks of painted bark and out of the hut hopping to see that men from afar. I was led to believe that these beings descended from heaven. The work of these spirits was harshly punish those who opposed the orders of women.

One day Kran (man sun), husband of Kra (luna women), passed near the large riverside hut and saw two young women who wash the paint is fun. Insurance fraud, the men organized and led to the large hut, in front of her women descended on creating a great slaughter. Since then, the Sun (kran) chases the moon (Kra) to get revenge on his cheating, but she always runs away after the sun appears into the horizon. Sometimes they meet in the sky and moon try to go unnoticed, but sometimes, they engage in a battle, knowed by us as eclipse, that leaves our land and his men without light.

I always wanted to draw a picture that explores the personality of a masochist, but not someone who physically abuses oneself; I wanted someone who enjoys emotional abuse.

I imagine that person to be someone who does contradicting things. It wants to be with other people, but locks itself in a bathroom. It doesn't want to be wet, but turn on the facets and opens an umbrella. It wants friends and cuts out little people, then tears them apart.

The gratifying pain is symbolized through the bleeding paper dolls.

I wanted to try a new drawing technique with this picture. It lacks the thin lines and smooth colors of my other styles. I drew it with a canvas texture but it's hard to see because of the small size on dA. The actual image is very big with detailed textured lines that looks like it was made with charcoal.

This is a Nia print I drew for ~kamcao to sell in AFA'09 in Singapore.

I think she would be a very cute Alice- was so excited to draw her fluffy hair, and the best part would be her flowery eyes! *3* I wish I can have eyes like thaaat

A fanart drawing, featuring Franken Stein from Soul Eater [link] (Quite a well known Manga/Anime) and Madaraki Fran from Franken Fran [link] (not so well-known, hahaha).

I decided to made a fanart of both, since they share the same name: Franken. Also they look the same: stiches, screws in the head, and their love for experimentations.

Fran is a really funny character, as she is admire love (in its different forms). She is quite innocent and empty-headed sometimes.
At the contrary, Stein always joke and move around on a desk chair.

I know it'll be hard to believe, but I did this drawing only to realize, while posting it, that it was Valentine soon!

Here is 's completed tattoo design of a tribal flame wolf and rising phoenix with the stars and sun from the Philippine flag positioned above them.
