Short answers to frequently asked questions:
It's not for sale, I will not make another, please do not copy it, yes you can post it on your blog if you link back to this page and give me credit, yes I will make another charm when the Doctor regenerates, if I did sell it (never going to happen) it would cost a fair bit because a lot of time and effort and good quality materials went into making it, it took forever to make, I do not make jewellery anymore because I am busy studying and painting.

In the event that anyone asks, yes, I will be making a new charm of John Hurt's 'Missing Doctor' (as I have decided to call him until we find out where he fits amongst the other regenerations). I will update this deviation (or add a new one, I don't know yet) when I do so. Stay tuned!

Goodness. I just want to thank everyone for all the love. I never expected this bracelet to receive so much recognition but I have been happily surprised! Thank you so much for your kind words and the favourites.

Premo polymer clay, acrylic paint (for the clasp), jewellery stuff, love.

My Saturday night consisted of the Impossible Astronaut, drinking tea and making this bracelet. I painted the silver clasp to resemble Ten's sonic screwdriver too. Just for that added awesomeness, y'know?

Now I haven't actually seen all of these Doctors. I've seen 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Of course I think we all have our favourites, mine being 11, but I would love to be able to watch at least a few episodes from every Doctor. I'm pretty sure no fictional character has ever gone through as much change as he has. But hey, he's still going so he's obviously doing something right. He's a fantastic character and I would love to see how he's changed over the years.

And for those who are curious, when new Doctors come along I will be making charms for them too.

I would also like to add that this bracelet is not for sale. I don't often make jewellery for myself and this is one of those rare pieces that I am keeping for myself. I adore it way too much and it's quite special to me too.

This is my first attempt at making nails with sculpey. It was so hard to do! Actually it was a lot easier to make them then to do things while wearing them. I can say that writing wasn't too bad, just one problem with that though, we type in our school! I'll say that these didn't turn out the way I wanted them to. I had two different colors of sculpey but the softness of the were different no matter how much I squished it in my hand. Well you guys as always, "Enjoy my randomness!"

This is one of my favourite commissions, a design requested by for part of a pangolin costume, and I really recommend a trip through her tumblr to meet all sorts of wonderful characters and all kinds of beautiful art!

In response to questions: if you'd like to learn how to make stuff like this check out the Scale Mail Tutorial Page for a free tutorial on a super simple to add scales and any feedback you can give to improve it is massively appreciated there's even a pattern for sale now as well as the free tutorial!

I personally really like this sandy yarn I got in for it, and using the new style bronze scales were great to use since I've been unable to get hold of any bronze scales for ages! Due to the nature of variegated yarn the colour of the yarn bit up the wrists will vary between pairs, and doesn't even match within the pair, but they look more natural that way

Come with me, back to heady days of the summer of 1983 when a much younger Ruthie was baking 'free from a cereal packet' shrinkles in the gas oven with help from my Mother, the obligatory adult in these sort of craft situations. I loved my slightly wobbly Shreddies keyrings, now lost in the mists of time.

Fast forward to present day where Ruthie now creates hand-drawn & super cute charms, none of which have anything to do with cereal, from the aforementioned Shrinkles. The technology has moved on somewhat, I no longer rely on kitchen appliances to cook them, but they're just as much fun to make!

This charm necklace is something I'd had planned for a while & it's finally here, featuring all the Doctor's, 1-11 & their/his trusty TARDIS! The central antique brass/gold steampunk clock acts as a central focus to the piece. Oh & there's a little bell at the end of the necklace - jingly wingly, timey wimey!

This piece can be adjusted by length, let me know what you'd like in inches. Like all of my work, it arrives in a presentation organza bag & a box too - although the box is not bigger on the inside.

As I create the charms from scratch I can create them in any colourway or style so I am open to custom orders. The same design charms can also be made into earrings, bracelets, phone charms etc.

Allow a max of 21 days for delivery.

This is the finished 13 inch tall 3D Tink cake. She looks a bit.......well I don't know, but it was due to not haveing the flash on so she has a few dark spots on her face.

The wings are 22 x 20cm costume ones I got online as I didn't want to risk icing ones on a long drive.

..I'll feel alot better tonight when it's picked up.....and then can have at least one day off tomorrow......well kinda...

Done after reading this journal post, [link] talking about the issue of diversity in superhero comics.
As a creator, I always try to stay away from the "let's have one black guy in every movie, so we won't get sued" mentality, but at the same time keep as much diversity of my characters as I can.
This is actually a character I've been planning to introduce in Age of Smoke [link] in a while, this contest just got me to draw her sooner.
I won't tell you her name yet (I like to have freedom of changing that at the last moment), but she's a monster hunter and a very nice person (as you can see).

Also, I'd like to mention that I'm far from saying that the comic book community as a whole is evil and sexist. There's plenty of great artists in mainstream, and many diverse characters, from Amanda Waller* and Volstagg to Nightcrawler and Wolverine**

These buttons are made from shortbread. They measure 6cm. Or at least, they did. Until I took them into the Masters office at Uni and they were demolished.

I've been in a little bit of a rut with my nails these days. For some reason I don't like anything I put on them. I put a color on them and instantly want to take it off. I dunno if it's the heat, humidity, or just my mind but polishes seem to be really gunky and thick. All of them. And they take forever to dry. I think it's just a summer thing but it sure does make it hard to want to paint your nails.

So I decided to try testing out some polishes and ended up with this look. I've gotta say, I want these nails to last for a few days. Unlike what I said above, I LOVE these. The remind me of comic books villains or something. Totally awesome.

I made this as a swap gift for boochocoboom on spritestitch.com in the forums. My swap partner's favorite movie is Labyrinth, and I just had to make this little guy. He is framed in a 9" hoop, to give you an idea of his size. The stitches are all pretty simple, mostly backstitch, brick stitch, and satin stitch.
