I got yet another art trade with . this time, it's of his OC Denki, the electric rabbit heroine. I was supposed to redo the clouds of my work, Draw it Out, instead I finished this around 1:00 am, mom and sis both sleeping beside me. Yes, no kidding.

I was figuring out what to draw next and had this idea of a girl looking out to the ocean and the sky and trying to reach them. Actually, I just took the idea from when I was in the boat taking pictures of the clouds and attracting eyes on me. I didn't care about them though. I went to the left side and then to the the other. Eventually,I stopped and continued to read Insurgent.
Anyway, the finished piece isn't exactly what I wanted.

I HAVE PHOTOSHOP AGAIN!! CS5 as a matter of fact. Finally I get it back after 11 months of losing it! And now my waiting has paid off lol.

Recently, I've been watching a lot of the 'Despicable Me' trailers, behind the scenes, and exclusive clips on youtube. I've literally sat through a whole hour watching nothing but Despicable Me stuff lol It's my new obsession! *Even though the movie doesn't come out 'til the 9th of this month* But some how, I am totally in love with the movie already...And Gru! He is so incredibly funny and such a softy and the 3 little girls are so cute, but a little annoying...Like Anges. The girl who loves fluffy unicorns :'D

lol Then I started to remember watching Looney Tunes when I was little and how Daffy Duck would get shot in the face and his beak would be on the other side of his head and he would always say the word 'despicable...' and so I thought it would be perfect to draw Gru and Daffy Duck together as a tribute to the movie coming out soon. Before I lost my PS 7.0, I was starting to practice doing lineart and so I tried it on this drawing. It took a while to get done, but heck, I like way it turn out. Hopefully it looks right to you guys lol XD I had a lot of fun coloring with photoshop again instead of using my colored pencils. TOTALLY SUCKED USING THEM!

Just whipped this character together today! I think I’m gonna call her “Ferrite”, unless that names’ already been used a bunch or something. She’s based on a ferret, and is completely covered beige and orange fur, with bright pink hair! She uses red dyes on her eartips and tail.

She’s from another dimension, filled with magic, sorcery, danger and adventure - she’s come to Earth for an adventure while fighting an evil wizard!

She’s a quick, very agile fighter who can punch kick and claw her way through opponents much bigger than herself! She likes orange pineapple ice cream, steak, and anything that’s been deep fried. She likes listening to the traditional music of her homeland… rap!

She’s peppy, high spirited, a bit sassy and a sucker for a well told story. She doesn’t like snakes, and is terrified of thunder.

Hace una semana, encontre una vieja serie llamada "La abeja Maya", no la encontre emocionante, pero me llamó la atención, así que me puse a investigar más sobre ella, y me llevé una sorpresa.

Maya originalmente aparecio en un libro: Die Biene Maja (la cual tradujeron como Las Aventuras de Maya la Abeja), escrito en Alemania por Waldemar Bonsels y publicado en 1912. El libro fue convertido en una película live-action con insectos de verdad, dirigido por el fotógrafo alemán Wolfram Junghan. En 1962, el compositor croata Bruno Bjelinski traslado la obra a una ópera infantil, en la cual la actuación de las abejas era hecha por niños, no actores adultos. A mediados de los años 1970s, la compañía japonesa Nippon Animation hizo una serie de 52 capítulos (que es la que encontré), y por lo visto fue muy popular en todo el mundo.

Last week, I found an old anime called "The Adventures of Maya the honeyee", I don't find it thrilling, but it called my attention, so I investigated more about that, and it was surprising what I found.

Maya originally appeared in a book: Die Biene Maja (that was translated as The adventures of Maya the Bee), wrote in German by Waldemar Bonsels and published in 1912. Candygirl VS. The Purple Vixens

I made this for of Candygirl dispatching the purple vixens by herself and then bring them to her uncle meatman's house to humiliate them while he taking a nap. The noise candygirl makes woke him up and then he wants an explanation on what she's doing due to him being confused. Surely, he doesn't make anything of it except "WHY?". There is a movie reference in this but I won't say what it is because that'll ruin it. Also, I thank for giving me the idea for candygirl's theme, which was her name, "candygirl"- by Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. I hope you enjoy it like dangerfan did. Boy, was he thrilled on how this came out?

- Conventions! Ill be at PAX on Saturday. Come see me in the Lets talk about Sex panel at 8pm. Ill be talking about sexuality and gender issues in table top gaming, with game designer Meguey Baker (and a few other friends). Catch me afterwards to chat about Modest Medusa or just say hi!

Ill be at Kumoricon all day Sunday and Monday. Youll find me in the artist alley sharing a booth with Ben Hsu. Ill be selling Season 1 books, Mermaid Hunter, prints and my last few t-shirts. Ill also be doing sketches for anyone who wants one. You can also come see the Dubious Medusa panel at 3pm on Sunday, where Ben and I talk about making webcomics and stuff. Well probably be giving away special buttons as well!

I had originally planned to post the first part of a different sequence, but half way through drawing it I realized that I had got my plot out of order, and this bit needed to come first! The hiatus is over! Back to the story! Thanks for sticking around. I hope you enjoyed the fill in comics by Patrick, Adrian and Addam. I wish I could say that Im fully rested after the break, but the truth is Im totally exhausted after finishing up Hereville, working on the Season 2 book and going to Geek Girl Con. The good news is that even though Im leaving for Gencon tomorrow (and will be going to both PAX and Kumoricon later this month) and I still have lots of work to do on the Season 2 book Ive managed to get ahead on MM strips!

Anyway, Geek Girl Con was great. Everyone was super friendly, and the con was very relaxed. It was great to see a lot of freiends and meet some of you for the first time. Im hoping to go back next year!

As I said, Im off to Gencon tomorrow. You can find me at booth 1450 selling my games comics. Nick, Ben and I will also be running games of Mermaid Hunters, Panty Explosion, GxB and Tulip Academy all week, so stop by and play a game!

Kickstarter: Oh man! We hit $17,000 and our 5th stretch goal this morning! I had said that if we get to 17K Id make the Medusa and Urano bonus story a 5 parter. So that means the book will have 17 extra pages of comics by me, and 6 extra pages of comics featuring the Pirates by Patrick Devine! Plus the extra 10 page story I was doing anyway! Thats 33 pages! Heres the crazy thing, weve still got over 30 hours to go and were only about $800 away from the next stretch goal. This is another big one, because its not JUST another 3 page story (this one featuring Vargas and Kerrigor, the Princes Knights. Kerrigors the guy in his underwear, by the way), but also a Medusa paper craft toy. Tyler Tinsley of Papercrafted.com just sent me this photo of the finished prototype, and its damn cool! - Okay, so we made our goal. The Modest Medusa Season 2 Kickstarter is funded! Thank you all so much! The great news here is that the Kickstarter still has 15 days to go, so we have lots of time to get to our stretch goals. What are those? Well, for each extra $1000 we raise Ill be doing a 3 page comic strip for the book featuring some of the supporting characters like Charles the Fish Scientist, Urano, the Chainsaw Unicorn and more!
