Ok, here the deal. I don't have a subscription, so I can't make the CSS installable. You will be able to download a ZIP file, containing the CSS and other things you will need to add.

This CSS, unlike other CSSes I make, is designed to be straighforward. There is no code to use in the body, everything is shoved into the header and CSS. You should be able to use this like a non-skinned journal.

The header must not be altered.* The reason for this is that there is a space created between the header and body. I coded this CSS to take advantage of the space. The first line of anything added after the header code will be hidden. (You can test this out if you want.)

_{*There is one thing you can change: Your "carrier". Look around in the header for "deviantArt Mob!le". You can change this to "Rogers", "TELUS", "AT&T", or whatever you want. Other than that, do not mess with anything, or you'll get problems.}

What can this CSS do?
-Emulation: Emulates the mobile version of deviantArt to the best of my ability. It looks a lot like how you would see deviantArt on an iPhone. Obviously there are some differences.
-Basic: Because it emulates a journal on a mobile, it is basic in that sense, and is compact. Perfect for those who write smaller journals, but I think you could still fit two or three normal-sized thumbnails side-by-side.

-Space-conscious: To save space, you will only be able to select an emoticon in your Mood, and whatever you're listening to, drinking, watching, etc. will not be shown. (Thanks =brgtt for pointing out such a simple way to get that to work )
-Customizable (as a Mac): The Menu button at the top, along with the four lit buttons at the bottom can be clicked. Look in the ZIP for details on how to enable the buttons.
-(A little bit of) eye-candy: As text is scrolled up, it will smoothly vanish! A small visual effect that I added for fun (IE users may not be able to see it. Your mileage may vary.)

I have only tested this in Firefox, on a Macbook. I have not tested this out on Internet Explorer yet, someone else is supposed to be doing that for me, but I understand if she needs time to do that. I've tested this in Safari, some things are misplaced. However, I'll work on the problem eventually. Safari 4 is really nice, and I'd to get to know it better.

Meanwhile, you Internet Explorer and Safari users can use this and comment about problems you get! :D

Please let me know if you enjoy this CSS, if you find any problems, improvements, etc. I appreciate getting comments on any of my deviations. Faves are alright, too, but taking the time to write a good comment always feels nice.

Grounded CSS

This is my own personal journal, I decided to release it to the general community. Whats the point in keeping it for yourself?

No instructions are included because none are needed. This journal requires no special codes, just paste the CSS in the CSS field.

WOO! My first jounal theme!

O.K. down to the rules:

This skin is designed to be a very simple yet elegant design.

This design does not display the date/time the journal was posted, should you want your journal to display this information I will provide you with another version of it.

With this journal design, you will receive the .psd file I used to create the design, as well as all the .jpg's used. It is recommended you read the readme.txt file included in the zip file, it will tell you how to do such things as have titles as you see here. Please note me should you have any questions regarding the customization of the template.

Copy-paste the CSS code into the CSS box under your "footer" and "mood/reading/etc" boxex. Upload the .jpg's to a file hosting service.

*Edit: Cleaned up the .zip file of all unnecessary images. Everything that is required should be there now, nothing extra.

Journal - Elusive

Pretty close to the final version I was hoping for. I don't think it's quite done yet though. Something is missing in my mind. Keep checking back for updates.

*I'm trying to keep the whole 'Dark Fella' theme going, that's why it's so dark.
