I just adore the Hunger Games trilogy, absolutely fascinating books. Can't say that I'm too fond of the movie though... I mean it was pretty well done and scenes with fire costumes and dress were just amazing, but still. I guess it's because I didn't get even half of those exciting emotions which I got while reading the books. Oh well... But anyway, I think Jennifer Lawrence made a great Katniss so here she is.

And yep, I'm aware that the mockingjay pin was... well, a pin. Not the worst crime I did for the sakes of composition and symbolism.

I'm a big fan of The Hunger Games. And I've read all three books. The book "Mockingjay" is what i like best. And I tried to make a adptação in my art.

*Update* I made the background a little bit darker.

Just playing around with silhouettes. Here is version 2, since I couldn't decide which I liked better. Here is the original silhouette without the text, coloring, and background. It doesn't really look like what I have planned but.. it'll do, at least to satisfy me. Well, it was only a warm-up painting after my hiatus. Now I'm back and commissions are open

I kinda wanted to design Katniss' mockingjay suit and bow, I ended up painting just half of it xD. I also wanted to make her resemble movie-katniss instead of book-katniss.

Cover illustration for Hunger Games "Mockingjay" from the Illustration Master Class 2012 in Amherst, Massachusetts. I had a really wonderful time at the workshop, and learned a ton. Thank you again to all of the wonderful instructors and fellow students that I made friends with. I had a lot of fun painting this piece. All done in Photoshop.

While workin' on it I heard Lady GaGas "Fashion Of His Love" over and over again. I luv this song. Expecially the lines:

Here is the Colored version of my design on a Red Lantern Ring on the fist of the Incredible HULK!

As red lanterns spew their own blood from their mouths I thought it only natural for Hulk's to be a lime green for his gamma radiated blood.

Hey peeps, it's been over a year since I submitted any colour work, and that's because I haven't coloured anything. I've been totally swamped with work.

So lately I've been wondering if I even remembered how to colour anything and to relax a bit at the end of a long working day I decided to pick up a piece by and colour it. I started following Paulo a few months ago and I've been itching to colour something of his.

I tried out a few new things to hopefully enhance the image and I would love your ideas/feedback especially on backgrounds for these character pics, because that's a part that I always have trouble with.

Each lady took me 30 to 45 min and I used Photoshop CS5 with a Wacom Intuos Tablet

Originally I was going to redesign all the dudes into chicks - but, it turns out, nearly *every* superhero has a female counterpart already. So, I just picked three biggies from each company and put them together.

I'm thinking I'll have this as a print this summer at cons.

As a kid, I was intrigued by Iron Man's gloss black stealth armor. I learned how to ink around highlights and reflections from drawing it so many times.
When the first IRONMAN movie came out, I was inspired to draw my own version of a sleek, black suit for secretly soaring above the city lights.

How else is the Iron Man going to rendezvous with the Iron Maiden for a clandestine night flight?

8 hrs on Bristol Vellum. I have been using Bristol smooth for a long time now and wanted to try a different paper. I think I will continue using it for pictures which are too dark.

Pencils used :- 2B mechanical mostly and 9XXB pencil for the really dark areas.
