Fashion show Event: Ca-Mart center fashion show downtown Los Angeles

Photoshoot location: Los Angeles River

This outfit took me the longest to make (3 weeks on and off) and I'm very proud of it. The original design of this changed so much from a long gown to a short gown. I got sick of making long gowns, so I'm taking a break from that.
Fabrics used: taffeta and chiffon.
The flower design is suppose to be elegant. The bodice and bottom of skirt is covered in rose petals all interfaced and lined. The middle is pleated from front to back.
The back of the dress laces up. There is a chiffon skirt gathered with hand made flowers at the edges.
The most time consuming part would be the details. I can't express how much I wanted to pass out at the sewing machine from how long it took to make them. Haha.

The dress was originally made for my friend Ashley's size, but she couldn't make it for Thursday's show, so we went to pick up Gina as her replacement. Gina's bust is a tad bit smaller than Ashley's, but the dress fit nicely everywhere else.
Thanks so much Gina for showing up even though it was super last minute. She was really sweet and patient. I loved this dress best for her.
Also, originally, the dress was going to be without straps, but I added them in case of emergency. LOL.
Also, for the dress support, I altered a short hoop skirt because I lacked time to make my own. ]]>

The boots, gloves, and belts are all real leather, which we will be distressing further in the future. The gloves are still in semi pristine order right now, because Link has just emerged from the Temple of Time in his new clothes! The sword and shield are made with a number of different materials including high density foam, fiberglass, and resin. We included with the shield some distressing, since he is able to use it as a kid, but we will embellish it further as time goes on! The tunic is made with rayon spandex jersey knit, and the underclothes are a combination of 100% linen and spandex ITY. I will be posting a more in depth "how it was made" on the website once all of the photos have been posted!

This cosplay photo was a huge combined group effort that was a labor of love by friends and fans of the Legend of Zelda series. Combining all aspects of art from photography to visual effects, we wanted to bring the Legend of Zelda to life as best we could in a final presentation. So far this has been incredibly rewarding, and we hope that those of you who view our work are brought a little bit more into the world of Hyrule through our art.

A special thanks to everyone who has helped us get this far! Without all of your support and kindness we wouldn't have been able to make this happen. We only hope that with what we produce, a smile is put on your face!

The jumper is made with 100% cotton sweater knit with a slight lurex spun in to give it just enough "fairy sparkle." The turtle neck is a 100% wool 5x3 rib knit. I hand dyed both the jumper fabric, and the turtle neck fabric to be the colors that I wanted.

This cosplay photo was a huge combined group effort that was a labor of love by friends and fans of the Legend of Zelda series. The boots, gloves, and belts are all real leather, which we will be distressing further in the future. The gloves are still in semi pristine order right now, because Link has just emerged from the Temple of Time in his new clothes! The sword and shield are made with a number of different materials including high density foam, fiberglass, and resin. We included with the shield some distressing, since he is able to use it as a kid, but we will embellish it further as time goes on! The tunic is made with rayon spandex jersey knit, and the underclothes are a combination of 100% linen and spandex ITY. I will be posting a more in depth "how it was made" on the website once all of the photos have been posted!

Combining all aspects of art from photography to visual effects, we wanted to bring the Legend of Zelda to life as best we could in a final presentation. I am sort of enamored with the mystery of the Lost Woods. Since I played Link to the Past I have always had a special place in my heart for it. One of my favorite parts of the Ocarina of Time trading game was the part with the Mushroom, and Cucco Lady (Anju's) brother.

Anybody who comes into the forest will be lost.
Everybody will become a Stalfos.

So much can be imagined by this idea, and the idea behind the Lost Woods!

I always thought it was sad that Saria could not grow up, nor die, and that Link would someday pass away. This scene of Saria and Link playing the Ocarina never happened in the game, but it was something we wanted so badly to include! We ran out of time on this shoot to get all the interactive photos that we wanted, but what we did get we thought you all would love! A very sweet scene of childhood friends taking a moment to enjoy each other's company.

Link's Costume:

The boots, gloves, and belts are all real leather, which we will be distressing further in the future. The gloves are still in semi pristine order right now, because Link has just emerged from the Temple of Time in his new clothes! The sword and shield are made with a number of different materials including high density foam, fiberglass, and resin. We included with the shield some distressing, since he is able to use it as a kid, but we will embellish it further as time goes on! The tunic is made with rayon spandex jersey knit, and the underclothes are a combination of 100% linen and spandex ITY. I will be posting a more in depth "how it was made" on the website once all of the photos have been posted!

I always thought it was sad that Saria could not grow up, nor die, and that Link would someday pass away. This scene of Saria and Link playing the Ocarina never happened in the game, but it was something we wanted so badly to include! We ran out of time on this shoot to get all the interactive photos that we wanted, but what we did get we thought you all would love! A very sweet scene of childhood friends taking a moment to enjoy each other's company.

All I had was a small concealer pallet and some grey eyeshadow in my purse ORZ so I had to make do with the zombie makeup. Thank you April for letting us use your fake blood!

This shoot was fun and totally trashy but well worth it for all the photos!

I had the opportunity to cosplay as Bayonetta for Anime Boston 2010. Cosplaying as her with was an absolute blast.

It was an intense process to make the costumes with the schedules that we kept. and I have commitments with work and school that we've been focusing on, so our goal for Anime Boston was to achieve Bayonetta's overall look. I'll be working on improving the costume, building on more details, and finishing another set of Scarborough Fair guns for Summer 2010.

If cosplaying as her in the future is nearly as fun as it was for Anime Boston, I can't wait to wear her again for more events!

Bruce Heinsius approached me at our gathering saying he had an idea for a photo. He mentioned wanting to have me jump for a photo. If you know me, you know I love jumping photos, so I was all about it! It took about four tries to get this shot, and I had a blast shooting it!

SO ... a big part of the costume was designed by me. I just tried to make what I thought she would be wearing.
