I had noticed a disturbing lack of DeMartino alter egos out there and made up my mind to do one. Ryuk seemed like the perfect subject due to both of the characters having bulging eyeballs and all. I wonder if, like my Trent as Ichigo, this one's a bit too on the nose as well. This alter ego is by far my most detail oriented one to date, what with all of the skulls and decorations made of bone and such. Also, the entire body was an issue as I had no idea what Ryuk is exactly wearing. Have you ever REALLY looked at him? What was the illustrator thinking?
