As of Jan 2013 DeviantArt introduced a way to generate earnings using either st.ash or uploading DA deviations as Premium Content. [link] (This also applies to the Commission Widget ) This allows you to earn money by selling additional downloadable content or services. It can be withdrawn as real world currency or converted back to DA It is important to know when uploading Premium content values you are only accounting for your "Gross Earnings" at the time of upload. This is the value before the 20% tax gets taken out. This calculator accounts for your "Net Earnings". Net (or Nett) refers to the amount left over after all tax deductions are made. If you are uploading Premium Content or offering Commissions please account for the 20% tax before you use this calculator.

100 = 1$ (is your Gross Earnings) only before the 20% tax gets taken out. After 80 = 1$ (is your Net Earnings).

Artist Comments

Part of the reason why I've strayed away from doing point commissions on DA is because I'm really not good at math. Figuring out the conversion rate between USD amount into DA points takes me about 2-5 minutes per calculation. (I have to usually triple check my math ) Which is why this calculator was born! My husband did the coding for it and I designed the interface and how it functions. There is one other Deviant art point converter [link] but I wasn't happy with the drop down feature as its function wasn't really necessary. Important things to note, we tested this calculator on many of the items in the DA store. All the calculations came out correctly with out the round up feature.

When using this calculator you need to use the decimal to indicate cents. Using no decimal will indicate just the dollar amount.

Regarding different country's currency's

Its been suggested by multiple people that there should be different currency's represented by this calculator. We actually planed to do this but hit a pretty major road block. Since the currency exchange rate changes daily, we would have to pull the numbers daily as well for the equation to work. Right we're now not sure how to do this or even if it is possible. So for now I suggest using Oanda currency converter [link] after using this point conversion calculator.

Version number and Bug Notes

v1.6 My previous versions had the entire thing working with numbers. When dealing with numbers, it makes adding a 0 behind a decimal somewhat difficult. I’m sure there are a thousand easier ways to do it but this was seems to be working with flying colors. Now it works using strings instead of numerical values. I converted the string into a number and run the math. Meanwhile, I have all these checks on the string to make sure the number fields look exactly how its intended to be used. I also changed the way it hunts for zeroes and decimals which makes it much more efficient.

In short re-wrote most of the engine for these fixes. Thanks to Tekarah, murisakii, oujinx, Dediggefedde, Elemental-Quest, and jujukittychick for the bug reports. If anything else seems wonky please let me know in the comments below.

v1.5 - Thanks for the DD! and with more eyes means more bugs to debunk!

Kodai-Az-Kite reported the over 9000 bug. To where if you typed in $112.52 it should = 9001 but instead gave you 9001.6. This was an easy fix, a rounding calculation was disabled in version 1.4 so we just re-enabled it.

cybertim reported the endless zero bug to where 00100 = 5120, while 100 = 8000. This was a bit more complex to fix. Not to say anyone would really need to put 000 before the number but if you did it broke it. So the fix was to convert the number into a string and put it back in. Hopefully this fixes the issue while not breaking anything else.

v1.4 - Allows for you to copy and paste the content. Didn't allow you too in older versions.

v1.3 - Fixed the crappy backspace to 0 issue. Now you can type in the field boxes without getting the hang up.

v1.2 - Made a edit if you want to know how much DA Points are worth in dollar amount you can type in the DA Point text field. Auto highlight in text field is now active. However this change is a little weird in that if you backspace the 0 the file can hang up a tad. If this happens click in the field to reactive it or ctrl+a to auto select.

v1.1 - Small bug, if you typed in a dollar amount with characters exceeding 13 spaces, DA point value showed decimal places. Quick fix this version limited how many characters you type in the USD field box. Bug reported by 10Sly10

SuperdAmn is a userscript that implements tons of fixes for dAmn, the deviantART Message Network. It replaces dAmn.extend by `siebenzehn, the most popular userscript for dAmn in more than 4 years, and thus implements the same features, but at the same time adds a lot more to make your dAmn experience even more exciting.

What SuperdAmn implements: (the most notable parts, anyway)
A new away system with customizable messages, more message variables and status display in the corner, reminding you that you're away.
A new ignore system that makes ignoring visible by obscuring usernames in the members list when those users are ignored. Also included is retroactive ignore, which hides all of the user's previous posts, too.
A new title/topic-editing system with dynamic editboxes, text-appending commands /topicadd & /titleadd and additionally, the ability to reload topic/title if they weren't loaded properly.
An interactive emote picker that allows you to preview emotes and add them to your message. This includes integration with the brand new emote database system Emotecloud, and you can vote on emotes in the database. Another part of this is the possibility of having your own private emote list with just the codes to emotes you like. And it can also be used as general short hands for long strings of texts!
Brand new amazing-looking formatting buttons designed by ~Kiwanji and ~Plizzo with additional functionality when you hold the alt button.
Private chat enhancements: The chat is always highlighting you, and it also gives you an idea of whether the other user is in the private chat.
"Fixing" of tab flashing by adding different colours corresponding to different events. Several colour styles available.
Optimization of thumb behavior: Now no thumb should fail to display in dAmn. Additionally, SuperdAmn adds the support for literature thumbs!
/clearall command that clears in all rooms.

This script is my biggest JavaScript undertaking ever and is a product of several weeks of me programming, concepting and getting way behind on my favorite TV show so I could get as far on this as possible. It's got a lot of little fixes, additions and enhancements, in total creating a userscript that is over 2600 lines of code while still being well structured. But it is also a project that a lot of people have played a part in, and handful of people need particular credit for a part of the product or getting some of the ideas first in their own separate scripts. Significant portions of the script is made by or inspired by products made by: `siebenzehn, `zikes, =zachriel, !extrarius, `realillusions, `electricjonny, ~Kiwanji and ~Plizzo.

EDIT: Current known bugs:
dAmnColors currently breaks timestamps and ignores. I've talked to the script developer on this, it's being fixed asap. EDIT: FIXED! As long as you have dAmnColors below SuperdAmn on the userscript list, this script should now work with SuperdAmn!
dAmnGoodies currently breaks tabbing more than one person with the same beginning letter of the username. EDIT: Can be fixed by moving dAmn Goodies down below SuperdAmn in the Greasemonkey userscript list.
Some people are reporting that the preferences icon (wrench icon at top right) are not displaying, but almost all of them says a reload fixed the issue. Also, make sure you've disabled dAx.
People with the Firefox extension NoScript installed won't be able to get the script to work until they've enabled JavaScript for all of the following domains: 24bps.com, incruentatus.net and thezikes.org.

Hi yo,
Did you ever suggested a something for DD?
Well, belive me- It takes some time...
First you must find the appropriate gallery director, than to read his rules of suggesting DDs, that to write him a note with your suggestion and than you must wait for a reply... and sometimes you don't eaven recieve one :[
So I decided to make a suggestion about making this whole proces alot easier and enjoyable for everyone. Aaand let's give you some info about what you see...

On the first line, you can see that I've created a button for suggesting deviation, right under the 'collection' button. It will enabled if the deviation is not suggested, but if it has already been suggested it won't be link, just text. I t won't be better if it disappears, because alot of people won't understand what's happening and they might start contacting the Help desk... The button should get removed when deviation is already a DD ;]

In the box with suggesting you see some names. As you can read they are to the appropriate GDs or other members with the privilages of gallery director, to this deviation. This should be automaticly generated by the website. You see one lil 'Stop/Block' icons next to GDs names- these symbols will apear when the Gallery Director already sheduled a DD, so this will save you time and nervs waiting for a reply and the only thing you see is that he/she already sheduled a DD. So this section will help you deciding which gallery director you want to contact about suggesting the particular deviation...

I know that looks weird to have a link to the FAQ saying 'What is a Daily Deviation', but there are people that just click everywhere and It will be better for them to know what they are doing there ;]

Also there is a lil box, where you must write your blurb. If you desire your blurb to be written under the DD, than you must click the checkbox next to 'Desire to use my comment'.

After that, in the next image, you can see that I think that it would be better GD's to have their own tool/button, because they might go in this section often and etc. Hope ya understant =]

After that you can see a lil update in the message center. There is a category called 'DD Suggestiongs' and you understand what it's for ...So there you can see 3 ways to view suggestions.

1^st
- The GD can see the suggested deviation, the artist comment. The 'Reply' and 'Shedule it' buttons are bigger. There is a button 'Block suggestions from this user' which I think wil be verry useful, because there will be people that just overflood the GD's sometimes and that can be a cool way to get rid of these preople... they will still be able to suggest DDs but they must do it via NOTES... I think that you understand everything here...

2^nd- The GD can see only the artists comment, he can block him and use his comment again... But I don't think it's very useful way to vie suggestions...

3^rd- Just the title and the lil close button...

Okey now I must tell somethin about the buttons there. You know what's the 'Reply' button for... Uuum the 'Shedule it' button is for sheduling deviations and after the GD clicks on it all the other suggestions will remove themself automaticly.You know what's the 'X' button for- but after closing the suggestion it will automaticly send a note to the deviant that his suggestion is rejected.

And there art the traditional buttons for removing all the suggestions and etc.

I hope you understood everything about this suggestion about improving deviantART. Please tell me if I gohn wrong anywhere and also please give some favs, comments and critics!

Lit: Chapters + Annotation

Literature Gallery: Chapters and Annotation Assignment

A brief sketch for an idea I had not long ago for the lit community.

I didn't go into anything on the submission side. More or less this is the presentation side one would see as they click on a Lit deviation.

I'm sure most of you don't know that I actually came to deviantART as a writer. It took a few years before I fell into what I'm doing here, now.

I've been meaning to re-upload some of my older work, and it occurred to me as I thought about doing so how entirely in need of help that whole process really is.

I hope this one is actually considered seriously. It could really improve our Lit system by leaps and bounds... and make it FUN to read again!!!

As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Affiliation Widget

Ok, official word is that an Affiliation Widget is now in the design phase for the groups system. The staff are looking for as much feedback and ideas as then can get, so please feel free to comment here (sending it to #devBUG just means we have to re-link to it in a comment thread and then individually look at each post, whereas all the comments can be read at once by posting here)

I have a request: there have been tons of suggestions about affiliates. and affiliates is something that everyone has a different opinion of what it even is, depending on their experience. could you guys distill all of those suggestions. [link] 1/3/09

Comments on this:
One idea that was proposed (=Paradise-of-Darkness [link] 1/3/09) was for folders for affiliates. I tried to model this like the gallery/fav submission system where users could choose which folder their group would appear in on their affiliate's page; so like you can select which folder your submission will go into, you will have the choice in which folder your group appears in.

The affiliates widget could appear in the "About Us" section and optionally the Profile Page, that's how I was imagining this panning out.

I also tried to model the main affiliation initiation section like a reverse join - so rather than a user going up to the group and clicking the 'join' button, the group is going to another group and clicking the 'affiliate' button.

I also agree with *Tetsuk0 that there should be a second way to affiliate (rather than visiting the other group's page as I've shown above) but instead have a page in the admin section that functions nearly identically to the invite system: you can go to this affiliate page by selecting the text link and then just fill in the other group's name and press send.
AND 1 button on your own group's page (only visible to admin people) similar to "invite a member" button, that says something like "INVITE an AFFILIATED GROUP". [link] 1/3/09

With dAmnAutoJoin you don't have to manually join all the channels every time you log into dAmn network. Just add the channels you want to join in the dAmnAutoJoin options and as soon you will join a dAmn channel (it's not important which one) it will automatically join you into the other ones!

With the release of Firefox 4 I noticed that dAmn Auto Join latest version (0.4.0) was not working with it.
Checking back it was just an option in the install.rtd file that made it compatible only with 3.x versions of the browser.

The problem is that the original author is not posting anymore on deviantART (last deviation/post is years old) and all the links in the original deviation's page are not working anymore, so I decided to reupload it with the small fix I added to make it install on FF 4.x without the need of extra addons to skip this check

Installation

To install dAmnAutoJoin:
- Download the file from deviantART (button on the top right of the page)
- Extract the .xpi file from the .zip you downloaded
- Drag and drop the .xpi file into a Firefox page (on the Firefox icon should work too)
- Wait a couple of seconds and accept the installation popup
- Restart Firefox and dAmnAutojoin should be installed

I'm not an addon developer so don't ask for further fixes or options, thanks, I just wanted to make this public to help other deviants.

If ~jbergler will come back and will continue to support/update his extension please notify it to me so I will remove this one. I don't want to steal anyone's work.

Description: This script will add thumb code collecting capabilities to deviantArt. It is also capable, of sorting thumbs, and sending notes to deviants one has featured in a journal or news article. Use it to collect tons of thumbs for features and forum activities.

Next version: The project was dead for 2 years now after I had started to have financial problems. Since than my life returned to normal, but for now I have other pet projects that are more dear to my heart. Also keeping a grease monkey script alive, is a pain if the host site is changing frequently and refuses to provide an API, so it is simply just more work than it's worth. Maybe one day (when the 5th or 6th similar grease monkey with basically the same features gets created, and then abandoned) dA will realize that this feature should be part of their own website, or at least they provide some kind of API. But until than I don't think I have time to take care of this regularly.

Features I wish I could have done:
User definable output styles, Support for HTML and BB codes, support Large tumbs, support :dev: and :icon: codes
handle :print: codes and prints
Saving and loading lists, adding to saved list
Show thumb menu on deviations page too.

deviantPLUS is a custom user script written in javascript. It runs each time you visit deviantART and attaches a toolbar to comments, journals, forums, notes, shoutboards, deviation descriptions, and pretty much anywhere else you can type on dA. The toolbar has buttons for things such bolding, italicizing, underlining, hyperlinking, etc.

Version 3 is a complete rewrite, re-introducing the Preferences panel that was available in earlier versions and adding the ability to create and edit buttons. The design has also been completely redone with new toolbar and button graphics by ¢mynti.

Significant programming and design work was also done by `electricnet and =Solitude12.

A big thank you to ¢mynti, `electricnet, and =Solitude12 for their contributions to this script. Without you guys I doubt this thing would ever have been completed

Detects @replies and creates a link to that user's Twitter page.
Stores Twitter login information in the Firefox Saved Passwords listing, using a method as secure as logging into Twitter directly. Your password will not be stored in Greasemonkey, or be accessible by it.
Lets you follow/unfollow users directly from their dA page.
Update your own Twitter status from any user page.

This script changes the default state of the "Make available on deviantMOBILE" button to unchecked as opposed to the current checked.
This was developed as a result of feedback from some members of the community, and due to my own frustration in having some deviations listed as available on deviantMOBILE when I didn't want them to be (yes, I know it's one click, and can be managed globbaly through gallery settings, but, still...
NOTE: I have made this deviation available on deviantMOBILE for the sake of irony.

What is it? A Greasemonkey (GM) script for Firefox (FF) to show if a deviant you visit is one of your watchers.

Warning! This script was previously named "deviantART - Is this deviant watching you?".
I renamed it for various reasons, but since GM is using the name as key in the config, you have to uninstall the previous version, deleting also the associated preferences.

In the suggestion forum, I saw the Who watches you request, and it wasn't the first time... Apparently, lot of deviants want to know if a deviant watches them when they visit his/her pages.
I had the idea to write a Greasemonkey script to do this.

So, what do my script does? The screenshot says it all: If the deviant you visit (in his/her profile page, gallery or deviation) is watching you, the script adds on the right of the deviant name in the title bar a watch icon, so you can check this at a glance.
Also adds in the profile page a line above the Watch this deviant/Watching this deviant one.

In fact, if you edit the script (using Notepad for example, or a better editor if you have one!), you can deactivate the icon or the message, as you wish. See the comments at the start of the code to see how (lines below) those starting with //$$ Read these comments for instructions. It is better to do this before loading the script in FF, if you don't know how to edit it after...

If you have no watchers, well this script will do nothing...
If you have some watchers, when you go to your main page, you will see in the Recent Watchers box, on the right of the title, a new Update watcher list button.
If you have 20 watchers or less, just click on this button, and you are done: go visit some of your watchers, and see the magic works!
If you have more than 20 watchers, you have a Complete List link: click on it, a window listing the first 200 watchers (or less if, like me, you are an ordinary deviant...) appears, as usual.
Hit the End key and you go at the bottom of the page. Here, you have a checkbox and a button added by the script, below the navigation box.
For the first time, just hit the Update watcher list button. If you have 200 watchers or less, you are already done, close the window. Above this number, the script will load the next page in the window.
Just let it work through all the pages of watchers you have. At the end, like in other cases, a message box will display the total number of watchers found, confirming the end of the process.

Note: if you have a large number of watchers, like 20,000 to 50,000, the capture of the deviants can take a long time... You can even minimize this window and see the page numbers going in the title...
But sometime deviantART doesn't like these repeated requests and returns an error page. Or you closed the window, tired of waiting. Etc.
For these cases, there is a recovery/resume mechanism: go to the Complete List (first page), and click the Update watcher list button: the watcher capture will resume were it was. I was able to capture the 32,138 watchers of a deviant after many restarts...

What about new deviants?
If you have less than 20 new watchers, just click on the Update watcher list button in your profile page. The script will get the new names in this page and update your list.
If you are very popular or away for a long time, with more than 20 new watchers, click the Complete List link and in the Friends page, click the Update watcher list button. The page will be scanned. If the last deviant wasn't in the list, it is likely there are more, so the script will continue on the next page, until it finds a page full of known deviants.
If, for some reason, you prefer to regenerate fully the list (eg. to handle deviants no longer watching you), check the Rescan all check box and the script will clear the list and fill it again from scratch.
Note: the script doesn't handle automatically deviants no longer watching you: you have to rescan the
list to get rid of them.

Where does this list of watchers go?
I store it using the function GM_setValue. Greasemonkey puts these values in the user settings.
You can view these settings by typing about:config (and Enter) in the address bar of Firefox.
You can locate the settings of my scripts by typing phi.lho in the filter area: you will see GM creates the keys greasemonkey.scriptvals.http://Phi.Lho.free.fr//deviantART - Watching you?.xxx
You can even edit it... Or erase their content.
These settings are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.default\prefs.js.
Path to user data (C:\Documents and Settings) might have been changed.
Note that this file seems to be written only when Firefox is stopped.

Artists category links

dA v7 broke it, so I dun fixed it. Visit the install link again to get the updated version.

To install the script visit userscripts.org and click the green install button.
If it shows up as text, and not an install window, you need Greasemonkey.

Always kinda bugged me that those category links up there (under the deviation title) pointed to all of deviantart rather than the artist's gallery.

This is a quick script to add such links, with an icon so you can toggle between the two modes. I find it makes browsing dA much nicer, especially when you find an interesting deviation while browsing and want to see what else the artist has.

Icons are from famfamfam/icons/silk/

Translucent Userpage Buttons

I updated this slightly, and instead of tacking on yet another edit to this already long deviation description, I just decided to kill it all and start over.

So in a nut shell, this will make your |New|Edit| and |pencil| buttons mostly transparent until you hover. So the buttons you see on your userpage widgets will be transparent, along with the pencil button on comments to let you hide them until you hover over them.

This latest update doesn't quite look the same as the preview does here, but you get the added bonus of an animated opacity change instead of the sudden jump from translucent to opaque. Well, at least if you use Firefox 4.0 or above.

To Install

You'll need either Firefox or Chrome, and have the Stylish extension.

Once you have those, you can open this link and do this, depending on if you use Firefox or Chrome:

Firefox - Copy the entire contents of that link into a new blank style from the Stylish menu (click icon -> write new style -> blank style), give it a name, and then hit save.

Chrome - Open that link, but only copy the line starting with "/* make edit/new buttons..." till the last "}" character, but don't copy that last "}". Then in the "Applies to" area, add in a "URLs on the domain" category and write in "deviantart.com".

It's a lot more work in Chrome, but that's another reason Firefox is better

Now this applies to group pages also, so if you have privs there, you might find the small icons on things being transparent annoying, but you can fix that, sorta, if you take out some lines. I haven't been using it on those icons for very long, so I'll see if that's annoying to me. Anyway, hope you all still like this

This script replaces the original friends menu (on the right upper corner of each page) with a new, more featured box.

IMPORTANT
If the script tells you it cannot fetch any data make sure you checked the "Accept thir-party cookies" in your Firefox Preferences => Privacy => Cookies. Or add an exception for "deviantart.com" on the right side of the preference window!

Support the Random Browsing!

Wait, what's this?
This is a greasemonkey script that places the Random Deviant and Random Deviation links where they belong - up in the mainBar next to your friends.

I mean, why?
Because 60% of the people are unaware of the Random Deviation and Random Deviant links down there on the bottom of the page.
Also, since they now show on the top, you don't need to scroll down to press them again if you want to jump to the next random deviant/deviation.

I want to start using it. How?
In order to use it, you must be using Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox, and you must have the Greasemonkey extension installed.
If you have any previous versions of randomLinks installed, uninstall them. (Firefox Menu>Tools>Greasemonkey>Manage User Scripts select the script and click uninstall)
Next, click

≣ INSTALL LINK ≣

to install the (newer) script and a greaseMonkey script installation window will open. To install the script press the "Install" button.
And that's it. Next time you open any page on deviantArt, this script will place a link to the random deviant/deviation on the mainBar next to the friends button.

Introduction:

So, this extension adds support to firefox allowing users to set channels which are automatically joined when dAmn is opened.}

EZThumbz v2

This is the second release of the EZThumbz script for Greasemonkey.

Thanks to the DD and all of the support from the community after my first release of this script I've been able to get a lot of feedback from people and use it to make some improvements. The new version's features are listed below. Unfortunately a lot of people had conflicting ideas of what they wanted it to be able to do so I'm sorry if I left anyone out. I'll keep making changes whenever I get a chance and try to keep improving this for my friends in the dAmn community

Sorry for no updates on this in a while. Unfortunately I've been really busy now that I'm done with college and getting more into my career full time and haven't been able to do much. I updated the download link to point to userscripts.org and tested and everything appears to be working for me in Firefox 3.6.3 and the latest Greasemonkey version. Over the past year I have learned a lot though from my work experience that I hope to use to make a new and improved version soon!

VERSION 2.0 RELEASED
- Integrated with the existing dA Modals.
- Detects user privilege class and limits thumb posting accordingly (for #Thumbsshare).
- Works in all chat rooms.
- Reworked the image loading process to improve load times.

Deviant Love for Firefox and Chrome

If you love the people of deviantART.com, you'll love this. Just visit your Faves page (or anyone's, really) and click the heart in the address bar, and Deviant Love will list the artists featured there, in "most faved deviations" order. Pick an artist from that list, or right-click an artist's name on the Faves page and choose "List faved art from ", and get a list of the deviations they have there.

Deviant Love will happily report on any part of the Faves page you like. Head for a Collection before activating Deviant Love to learn about that Collection, or switch to the Faves page's Browse view for absolutely everything inside and outside all its Collections.

You can search for the names of artists and deviations - essentially, a basic Faves search, as you wait for deviantART to implement the real thing.

Deviant Love will also mark the artists who you are watching for new deviations.

Possible uses for this extension include:
- Browse the list of deviations from your favorite artist
- Pick someone from the list and leave a nice comment to brighten up their day
- Be pleasantly surprised that someone created several deviations that you faved at different times without realizing they're from the same person

Known issues:

- If an artist has chosen to restrict the viewing of any deviations to deviantART members only, Deviant Love won't find those deviations.

Llama Button userscript

This little userscript adds a Llama button to the top of every profile page, so you can instantly see if you gave this user a llama badge already or not, without having to open the "Give" menu first.

It works in Firefox with Greasemonkey and Google Chrome. I didn't try it in other browsers capable of running userscripts, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. If you use it in a different browser, please let me know!

A note for Chrome users: See [link] if you have trouble installing it. In short: You have to save the script to your computer first and then drag it into the extension window.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to a change in the page structure this is currently not working. I'll see if I can fix it, but I can't promise anything.

Edit2: Since so many people are bringing this up now that I got a Daily Deviation... My intent is not elitism. I do not condemn (YES THIS USED TO SAY CONDONE BUT I'M A TARD) people who cannot draw as well as so-and-so and find what we might define as trash as their best art. To me, quality art is art that people have put effort to at least to an extent of more than a two-second doodle. Sometimes those doodles actually do end up awesome, and maybe do end up being "quality".

So, when I say "quality art", I do not mean art done by fantastic, professional artists. I mean yes, those are quality, but that is not what every artist must live up to. That's ridiculous. I'm not saying that all my art is quality, either. I have a lot of crap submitting, usually with the excuse, "It seemed good at the time!"

In my opinion, people are taking everything far too seriously. Relax, and don't assume I'm an elitist asshole right away. I have my own preferences for art, and if I don't like something, I stay away from it. I don't jump down people's throats and tell them I hate their art.

This tutorial is a suggestion in the supposedly right direction.

Also, I'm amused that people just get mad at my intended irony of using stick figures while saying stick figures suck. -whistles innocently-

Let me start off by saying this: If you are offended by anything, this is all in the best interest of the community. I am not personally attacking anyone who submits screenshots and similar things, I'm just reminding people that this is an art site.

Woo! I was talking with ~angelwalker and ~EvaLilith, and I ended up deciding to do another tutorial!

This one won't be as humorous, of course, but I hope that people understand the point, and maybe gain something for it. I just think that some people need to be appreciated better.

I hope this helps show people how to give credit where it is due, especially in photo manipulations. It bugs me when I come across beautiful pictures that don't have credits, because then how do I know its really your work? I mean, if its your stock or whatever, go on ahead and say its yours.
Don't just leave it blank.

I noticed tons of people on the message limit notice had no idea what custom folders even were. So it seemed like time for another dA tutorial.
