The day before deciding to do ururu and jinta with i swore i wasn't gonna cosplay any Bleach characters. WELL... that didn't last long now did it XD kinda rmr the day i decided to do this was also Ururu's birthday, so it felt pretty cool.
not one for cosplaying popular series that's been cosplayed so many times before, but here's an exception for those under-appreciated side characters heheh.

really really wanted to cosplay with her at least once in our lives and considering we have zero chance to meet besides the time she comes back to Singapore for a visit. even though i had to pick up a lot of a slack (wig styling and prop-making for both of us), i'm so damn happy everything worked out and we managed to do this before she went back to Aussie. Thank goodness <3

Bleach - Ikkaku Madarame at your service!

I've always wanted to cosplay Ikkaku, at least try and see how it goes.
I finally got that chance today and this is how it turned out.
I went out with my boyfriend to snap some shots, because, he haven't been able to take some cosplay photos for a while now, so we just went for it.
In return he had to take some photos of me, at least try. This was his first time trying to hold in a camera and taking photos like this,
So I'm glad he caught this photo because it's one of my favorites so far! And this made me realise that maybe I should try to cosplay bald characters more often? :3
It was cold as hell, but we both manage to get a grip on it and just do our job. We got really nice photos too!

He was cosplaying Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter 2011. Last time he wore it was last year during UppCon:12, which was last summer. (:
So it was fun to see that character alive again, we also saw that we really need to fix some things on that costume. D:

Full Hollow Ichigo Cosplay 2

Ohay~

My newest Ichigo cosplay, Full Hollow/Vasto Lorde.
Made in 3-4 days by me.
This was supposed to be an easy and quick cosplay for a hot summer con, but I was wrong.

That full body makeup and mask were SO HOT and painful.
I had to take of the mask and drink water every 20-30 min to maintain my consciousness...

Whole mask is made of plaster of Paris with clay covering. Black base paint and white minuature paint after clay.
Jaw actually moves along with my own jaw because I made wirings with some rubber band and hot glue.

Espada Nelliel tu Oderschvank cosplay at Kawaii Kon 2009 on Saturday. 8D
I made everything from the Hollow mask, down to the Espada boots (which you obviously can't see in this picture >_> ).

Don't mind the not-all-the-way-zipped-up top, it was super hot, and the zipper just didn't want to stay all the way up to my neck.

I willlllll take some kickass Espada-y goods pictures soon. 8D

FAQ:
How did you make the Hollow mask?

- 6 Packs of Crayola Model Magic.
- I made a bowl shape, and basically just kept adding clay to it. I had to constantly keep putting the mask onto my head to see if it fits and how well it could balance after adding layers of clay to raise the elevation of it, as well as the horns on the sides.
- Layers of clay are important, so it doesn't look flat and made of fail on your head.
- I used a knife or something else, to carve the imprints of the light lines going around the horns.
- The horns and teeth were made separately and then added together.
- The mask is made of pure clay, nothing in the horns or anything else to keep it thick or in whatever position they are in. So the mask is kind of heavy - but light enough to keep on for half a day? >_>
- Took 1 or 2 weeks to air dry, if I remember correctly.
- Later, I bought sheer black fabric to use to fill in the eye and nose area of the mask.
