i really needed this.

i was asked if i would be interested in donating a piece for a fundraiser for the aids foundation of chicago ([link]) and aids marathon training program ([link]). this is what i made. it was nice to make something without any outside influence. the auction takes place on july 19th in oak park, il. please follow the links to find out the specifics. there will be a garden party and a silent auction. if you live in the area, please stop by. i know there will be some very cool stuff to bid on. put a part of that "stimulus payment" to some good use.

the design was just something that popped into my head when i got into my studio.

i only colored red stuff because red is the AIDS color, i didnt use words cus it said an illustration not a poster soo i thought pictures speak better than words

and the flowers are because the people giving the prizes are like the flower association or something like that soo i decided to involve flowers..

i did that hands more like when you play mercy or something because i wanted it to look more like a fight against AIDS by showing two hands that are fighting together OR maybe as two AIDS victims OR just as a family member supporting a loved one with aids. or something else

this is one photo I feel so strongly about, I had taken this a good time back with my sister's help, when an idea suddenly popped into my head and I was driven to go try it, and today I thought it could be put to great use for the HIV/AIDS awareness month to come (the quality of the photo isn't that great to me, forgive me but I had to put up what I thought might be a great message for people and help others learn about the awareness of HIV/AIDS) and I will try to retake a proper photo

you can't get HIV/AIDS from body/physical contact with other people such as hugging, kissing, coughing or sneezing...

One thing that I'll always remember thats constantly being said, AIDS does not discriminate, it can happen to any one of us

so those who suffer from the sickness should not be isolated, we all are human with feelings and emotions...we should be treated equally

STOP the stereotypical comments and myths...
...know the FACTS!
