Large file is LARGE! It took me much time to finish it and over 50 layers, but I am happy with my result

I chose to portray Valeren as "The Empress"! The Empress sits on a throne wearing a starry crown, holding a scepter in one hand. The Scepter is representative of her power over life, her crown has twelve stars representing her dominance over the year, and her throne is in the midst of a field of grain(in this case, grass ), representative of her dominion over growing things.
Valeren tried hard to learn how to rule her country; she wants to be a decent and just queen and not fail her people.
Another reason I chose this card for Valeren, is because "The Empress" can also convey "Sexuality" and Valeren uses her sexuality over Gar.

Peppe draws some lovely ladies doesn't he? The original colours to this (in his gallery) look amazing as well and I was somewhat hard pressed to come up with something different. I did a bunch of research into Geisha makeup patterns, which explains the little sharp edges on her neck and then the normal skintones for the rest. It's not the only style of Geisha makeup, or even the most common, but it's one of them...

The patterns on her clothes are some brushes from who has some very lovely brush sets there. I downloaded a bunch of them.

Personality:
How to put it... Liusine is quite different from Marianne. She is calm, serene, controlled. She keeps her head in a dangerous situation and reacts appropriately. She will also happily carve you up if you piss her off. She is the more independent, more capable of the two sisters. While she acts like she doesn't need Mari, she would ditch Terpua and never come back if her sister asked her to. She isn't as attached to her parents. In fact, she's a bit ~~a lot~~ cynical. All she wants to do is climb trees and ~~carve people up~~ have a bit of fun, then come back at the end of the day feeling like she's done nothing. In this regard she is still a child.

History
Liusine never had problems as a child. She listened to her parents and her sister, got in trouble when she snuck out, was loved by her parents. Because of this sheltered life, even more so than Mari, she sees herself as an observer of life, but never liked to actively participate in it. She humoured Mari's attempts to “defend” her, smiled and told her parents she loved them, but never really felt anything about it. She nodded in response to her parents' lectures about how evil humans were but never really believed them. The only person she ever felt anything for was her sister, and even then she views Mari as something closer to what one might view a very close pet rather than an important figure in their life, despite the fact that Marianne is much older than her ~~this girl has problems yep~~.

Spring Hat Project

My sister crochets hats for local hospital's cancer programs. I wanted her to have something handmade of her own.

The hat's inner lining was a project in itself since I had to hand-draft the pattern for it. This was a very fiddly process. I doubt I would have been able to do this at all without the hat shaper form.

The free pattern for the Tsubaki Cotton Hat can be found using this: [link] . I wanted a small sun hat rather than a bucket hat so I made a few alterations to the pattern. I changed the type and gauge of yarn. I doubled up on the yarn to add more body to the piece. I also changed the depth of the crown by reducing the number of rows. I crocheted a lace-like edging to the brim.

I used a Hat Shaper to block both the outer crochet and the inner lining. This makes a *huge* difference in the look and fit of the finished hat! I used the Flanged Brim Cloche for its versatility: I plan on making many different styles using this same shaper.

By creating a lining for the hat with a mid-weight fabric, I added additional stiffness to it. This stabilized both the crown and the brim and helped insure that the hat wire would remain in place.

You can clearly see the difference these changes made for yourself by comparing this project with the image on the Tsubaki Cotton Hat pdf.

I did try adding a ribbon trim, as recommended. It would have been nice to have it because it would have helped protect the crochet stitches from wear & tear (when pining on and removing the floral trim broach).

The soft crochet crown made the ribbon cup a little which made it look somewhat puffy. I wasn't happy with the result so I removed it. I pinned the floral spray through to the lining for support. The crochet fabric remains undamaged and the pin stays firmly fixed (no sagging)!

The Intimate Lesson

Waist cinching lessons were always a special moment between
Jun and Lyn because it is a moment or two people must be in
physical contact in order to more easily communicate, because
communication during this exercise, is mainly expressed with
gestures and breathing.

Everyday Lyn has his waist cinching lesson and enjoys it very
much and that's why he always gives the best of himself. The
lesson always happens in the morning when the body is relaxed
after a good night's sleep. And that had hitherto never been a
problem to anyone. However, for some time, Lyn seemed odd.
When Jun passed his hands around his waist to make it become
thinner, Lyn began to get hot and blush. Jun thought so that
the pressure on the belly of the boy made him feel bad, until
Lyn tried to explain the real problem to his mentor.

Jun entered the room after Lyn had taken a shower. A towel
around his waist, he had just come out of the bathroom.

"Hello Lyn ! Tell me when you're ready and we start."

Lyn looked away removing his towel. He placed it on a chair in
a corner of the room and walked over to his mentor.

"You want me to brush your hair ?" Jun asked.

"Yes, please. Thank you." Lyn replied timidly.

The young mentor took the brush on the bedside table and then
brushed Lyn's long and silky hair. Once done, Jun put his hands
on the shoulders of the young panda and approached his ear.

"Now lesson !"

Lyn stood back and waited quietly for Jun to give the
instructions for this lesson. But wait in vain, Jun did not speak.
Lyn then turned around.

"What ... what is it?"

"Well ... you got me to look weird today, right?"

"No no, I'm fine."

"Very well... Then we will start with your breathing. I put my
hands on your belly and without pressing too hard you're gonna
have to go as far as possible."

"Okay."

With each inspiration, Lyn sucked his belly in, making it increasingly
hollow, showing his ribcage which became more defined. Jun
thought it was beautiful. He ran his hands around the waist of Lyn
to help him to get his belly more hollowed. He squeezed it gently
and saw that Lyn's cheeks became red, so he stopped.

"What is it Lyn? I see that you do not feel well since a while. But
today more than usual. Yet I checked, you are not sick. I do not
understand what you have ... "

Lyn looked at his mentor in the eyes and tried to explain why he
had a strange behavior lately.

"I do not know how to explain ... well ... I see you every day so
special feelings born between us and ... well ... how to say... I
appreciate you well ... "

"But I also do, Lyn."

"Yes, but ... well ... not what I want to say is that ..." Lyn sighed.
"What I'm trying to say is ... I love you very much."

"And that's why you're blushing? You grew up and now it bothers you
I see you naked is not it?"

"Well ... it's not that it bothers me but ... well yes a bit ... but..."

Jun smiled, lowering his eyes and looked again at Lyn.

"Do not worry Lyn, I think I understand. But I'm your mentor and your
parents would not like to see me hardly be anything other than what
I am destined to be. Maybe I can ask them to change of person for
the waist cinching lessons, like that you will not be embarrassed that
I see you naked. "

"Oh no ! No. Well ... I do not want to have someone other than you,
Jun ..."

Jun seemed surprised at the answer so spontaneous, pleasantly
surprised actually. He took the boy in his arms for a moment and then
explained that he was his mentor and that if he does anything out of
place towards the young Lyn, he would undoubtedly be dismissed from
the field and would no longer be trusted and respected by the Huon
family, and he did not want to see that happen. Lyn understood and the
lesson continued as it had begun.

Jun Huang - The Young Mentor

I am pleased to present Jun Huang, Lyn Huon's mentor.

Jun comes from a wealthy family. He had himself a mentor
for some time before joining a great school to learn languages,
sciences and literature. He also took music lessons in the
largest conservatory in China for seven years. He met the Huon
family at a reception to which he was invited to play the harp -
because Jun is a very talented harpist. And it's this day Lyn's
parents, already seeing Jun as a future mentor, asked him if he
could keep Lyn from time to time and teach him music. Jun,
finding little Lyn - who was four at the time - really adorable,
accepted without question. Jun was then twenty years old. And
two years later he passed the audition to become a mentor.
Having studied under renowned institutions and has incredible
knowledge in many fields and subjects, he was immediately
involved and became, at the age of twenty-two years old, the
official mentor of Lyn.

The first days were difficult as a mentor. It took some time to
adapt and organize well everything to get everything into place
make everything function properly. But all this was stabilized fairly
quickly and Jun did his proof as a mentor in the Huon family, who
decided to host the young man under his roof.

Lyn is a very nice and quiet child, always listening carefully to the
lessons of Jun and still retained a large part. He is a very intelligent
child, although he has sometimes his head in clouds, like all children
of this age after all. Jun was very proud of this small boy and happy
to teach him all his knowledge. As the years passed, the mentor was
getting closer and closer to the young Lyn, sole heir of the Huon
family.

Jun taught Lyn waist cinching when he became old enough to
understand the true beauty of that art, that was at eight. Lyn,
having a very flexible size and naturally thin enough, loved to share
these moments with Jun because he felt closer to him during this
lesson of waist cinching art. Indeed, physical contact was necessary
to teach waist cinching to Jun and they became closer thanks to
that. Lyn seemed born to wear clothing with tight waist. His belly so
soft and of a so thin size seemed to be made for that. Jun was
always more than happy to be able to teach this art to the lovely boy.

Jun, who also studied medicine at the same time that science - an
option he had decided to follow because he thought it might be useful -
at the same time became Lyn's doctor and the Huon family had no
need to hire a private doctor because there was already one in the
house.

As a musician, he taught music theory to the boy, who was groaning
from time to time during the lessons, quite tedious and painful sometimes.
But Lyn soon fell in love with music, especially the piano and the flute.
He also liked a lot the harp but was struggling to play and did not really
know why. He knew very well the music theory but had trouble with this
instrument that was incredible for him. The first day he saw Jun playing
the harp, He told to himself that this instrument was reserved for an
elite and that he would probably never be able to play as well as his
mentor. Lyn then decided to play the piano, flute, violin and bass-cons.
He mastered these instruments very quickly, much to the surprise of his
mentor. Not that he did not believe Lyn capable, but not so fast and not
with all these facilities. From time to time, when Lyn plays the piano, Jun
accepts to sing to accompany the melody and to please his beloved
student.

I have always been a fan of the 1940s-50s time period, and one of my favorite things about that era is the different types of fashion. And I thought Meg would look really cute wearing a late 40s style dress! So then the idea for this piece popped into my mind.

I think it would be really cute if Meg and George started dating (or "going steady" ) and they went out dancing one night to one of those typical 1940s dance halls or something like that. George seems like the kinda guy who doesn't know how to dance very well, so maybe Meg would have to teach him how.

The necklace in this set has a hand braided eight-strand Kumihimo base with matte black beading along the edges. The fiber used to make the braid has a nice sheen to add contrast. The necklace is 7mm wide at the beaded edges and the focal stone is just over 3cm. The closure is magnetic.

These lovely azure blossoms on a dark field have a base of 8 strand braided Kumihimo. The necklace has a wavy pattern that is a result of using 1 mm larger beads for the flowers then those used for the background.

This was custom made for the wearer to complement the floral print of one of her favorite dresses.

Ok, en realidad no sabia lo que queria, primero hice un fondo estando en un cuarto pero dije "oh gawd, acaso la tipa tiene un ventilador de "La Rosa de Guadalupe" y por eso se le mueve tanto el vestido?"... Pero el punto es que es una "SHAI GURL" o sea le dijeron algo lindo y se blusheo (?) al final decidi usar colores calidos, creo que queda con el tema de sonrojarse y asi :I

This super delicious necklace & bracelet set are created with a base of 8 strand beaded Kumihimo. Most of the time the braiding will show through in beaded Kumihumo. Rather than use a silver beading wire to visually blend in the braid, I used a vibrant red to show it off.

This is my very first hat! I just completed it this weekend. Once I get the hang of how constructing hats is supposed to go I'll begin adding my own designs (embroidery, applique, beading, etc.) to them. Man it's great to work with textiles!

This hat was made in two shades of denim and is fully lined. The buttons on the fabric flowers are self-covered. This project had a yum factor of about 9 for me. It lost one point only because I had to redo the crown several times to get it to look proper. Even so I learned a great deal in fixing the problem. *happy sigh*

This is my Still Waters jewelry set. I created it it using beaded Kumihimo with antiqued silver inclusions. The bracelet has a magnetic closure to make it a snap to fasten. Changes in light cause the iridescent beads to glisten, just as light flashes on water.

8 strand Kumihimo braid; beaded with inclusions.

To include the filigree and large crystal beads, a short length of braid is completed without the beads. The braid is then secured, slipped off the loom, the inclusion is added and the braid is carefully returned to the loom to complete the design.

A lazy afternoon, "Shoot to thrill" pumping up, and that's the fruit: a little skylark pissed off to the core.

Initially, we just wanted to add the Cloud Flames to the lovely picture that ~Murgan, dear friend of ours and amazing photographer, took. Then we got carried away and started messing about. The bloodstains over the shoji on the background are a last minute idea and came out from a joke.

Amore: "Jeez, you're such a morose, Kyouya..." *sucks the last of a fruit juice very noisily*
Artemisia (with a killer glance): "Sucking on a straw so noisily is against the school rules..."
Amore: "Mh-mh, do as you please. Come on, bite me to---"

And as you can easily imagine, that bloody handprint is Amore's. If you opened the shoji and entered the room Kyouya comes from, you'd still find her convulsed body on the floor, begging for mercy.

I'm learning a new Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo. This is an eight strand braid with larger beads included at the center of the bracelet (making it about 3/8" in diameter) and small seed beads causing the piece to taper to about 1/4" at each end.
