Jesień to pora magiczna. To czas wyobraźni, wrażliwości, marzeń. Bukowy las który sfotografowałem, jest jednym z najpiękniejszych miejsc jakie kiedykolwiek widziałem. Przejeżdżam przez niego jadąc do babci, może dlatego kojarzy mi się z czymś pięknym, tajemniczym, magicznym.

Autumn is magical season. It's time of imagination, tenderness, dreams. Beech forrest i've photographed, is one of the most beautiful places i've ever seen. I'm driving through it on my way to Grandma, maybe that's why it somehow links with mystery, beauty, magic for me.

I was browsing my backlogs tonight when I came across this lost gem from the night I got my Sigma 10-20. At first, I thought there wasn't much I could do with it, but decided I'd give it a go in Photoshop to see what I could come up with. I'm glad I did because I'm quite happy with the results. Goes to show how valuable backlogs can be - you never know what you may have overlooked the first time.

The title comes from the song by Evanescence which I was listening to while this was being exposed. Funny how I remember these things a month and a half later. This was shot on my way back from Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver.

This was a tricky one. I was about 2 meters above that water filled hole and had to bend over it to get the framing that I wanted. My tripod was on the verge of tipping over.
I like the layering of the rocks and the leafs here. The depth of the pool might be about 3 meters.

Once again the paradise

This spot on the route from Hilversum to Lage Vuursche, just on the other side of the motorway, where the large forests begin, is always the place for me where paradise begins. To be able to go there again on my bike in this autumnal splendour yesterday morning did add a lot to this feeling, of course.
Let me use also these lines to thank you all ever so much again for your wonderful supportive reactions in the past weeks! It has been such a great experience to know that so many of you care so much about what happens to me. Many, many, many thanks.
