This time I focused my mind on drawing anything, which might have a social or political position at the same time be humurous. Then I decided to draw anybody who was truly important in the world.

Albert Einstein was a German-born physicist, named "Person of the Century." Besides being an exceptional scientist and innovator, Einstein was a brilliant person. Defending his concepts and ideas, he said important phrases for all people around the world....

My preferred is (in Deutsch):"Es ist schwieriger, ein Vorurteil zu zertrümmern, als ein Atom. - It's easier to disintegrate an atom than a prejudice" talks about the evil time we are living right now and where we are going about the discriminations and prejudices, even though he lived on the las century.

Personal comment
Well, after reinstalling windows for the 5th time, and then realising, that my harddisk practically died, I just had to do some art related stuff.

I'm pretty unhappy about this piece, mainly because there are some areas that didn't came out the way I wanted them to be.

mhh, actually, I concentrated my efforts more on the landscape itself, than on the other elements.

What it is:
Based on my newest terragenrender I rendered for 14 hours.
textures from cgtextures, pixelio and sxc.
same goes for the few references I used for the birds.
Original size: 7000x3944px @ 300dpi

wacom intuos3 a5

software:
adobe photoshop
terragen and world machine

The hyper basic idea about this piece:
Two scouting jets flying through an untouched scenery..

So I used to have that plain white apple desktop (which can be found here [link]) and one day wondered what it might look from the other side.

It's all photoshop, which the exception of some photographs of some sheets of plywood.

Also known as the Azure Dragon of the East 東方青龍

Seiryuu (or Qing Long in Chinese) is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese Constellation, along with Genbu (Black Tortoise) Byakko (White Tiger) and Suzaku (Red Sparrow). Seiryuu represents the East, the spring season and the element of Wood. (When I painting it I was messing the elements up and thought he was Water, hence the strange depiction)

While I was painting Byakko, I already decided I wanted to make a series out of the Four Symbols. I've always liked the idea of making a series and I thought the Four Symbols were a good start, since it's a relatively short series and features most of my favourite animals/creatures. So here's Seiryuu/Qing Long.

This was hard. Harder than it should have been since I regularly draw dragons. I really wanted him to look like an Asian dragon (long) as he should be. But I kinda failed. His head is more like I typically like to draw dragons. Also, apologies for having used similar colours (of blue) as used in Byakko. I really tried to go for a different colour scheme, but it just didn't work for me. Eheh, that's it for now regarding the critique I still like it. And as you see, I've abused the dodge tool again (even stronger this time ) and I like how the scales and manes came out

Again my favourite theme. Artwork for the game Total war:Empire. This one was my biggest and most complicated painting, so I hope It was worth the time spend I have finished this piece some year ago, but cant post it because the marketing policy.
It shows the Battle of Quiberon Bay near coast of France. The ship on the right is HMS Royal George, pride of the british navy with almost 900 souls on the board.The battle fas fought in late november so the weather was very bad. Ship on the left is french La Superbe, and this ship ended very bad at the end.
I painted the ships as they were, based on many historical resourcess: paintings, engravings and models. And of course a bit of my imagination. No other references were used.
As I said this was my biggest work till now. Original res is 3000x1500, it takes me about one month to finish. Done in Photoshop CS3 from the start. I'll be happy to see your commnets and critics.

Please dont use the picture, because its property of creative
assembly. If its something really serious just write me note.

Ok so after Wizard Con, and talking to *diablo2003 I was thinknig, if I go to Comic Con, I really need to knock the socks off of these Marvel editors if I want to paint covers for them. So im going to do 6 covers, and so far I already have two. I've done this one, which took a day, and im about 35% done with my next one, Iron Man.

The Captain America, Wolverine, HULK, (still thinking about my 6th)

Anyways, enjoy Venom and Spiderman, I know theres a ton of those fans here This is for you guys.

PS. Add textures, and i admit, it does look better on spidey thanks!

Finally a render of a Mercedes SLR that I can live with. I've been struggling with this car forever. I finally got some topography issues under control and have managed to get a few decent renders done.

Here, I've reused the environment I created for [link] - so I guess the owner upgraded from the SL.
