This is... sort of awkward. Insomniac never gave The Smuggler's species a name, but I realized quickly that, while writing about him, I couldn't refer to him by whatever species his name is called. This rather forced me to make one up for the sake of Waltz of Shadows, plus an entire culture for them. I've named them Azuri, and I'm happy to show my support for more of them.

As a bit of a rule, kindly supply credit to me if you use it as a name for The Smuggler's species for any situation/reason/explanation/story. It would be most appreciated, since I'd rather not lose the name I've coined for them. Please and thank you.

There are going to be more talented artists out there. That's life. But is that going to stop you?

There are many incredible artists here on dA. Does that mean you can't become one yourself?

Some of us come by talent easily. Some of us have to work a little harder to get it than others.

So?

One thing I've learned while being here on dA is that just because an artist is better than me doesn't mean I suck at what I do. It really doesn't. It just means they're more talented in that area.

Is that going to stop me from doing what I LOVE to do?

I love love love to draw.

I don't do it for the views. I don't do it for the favs. I don't do it to keep watchers.

I do it because I LOVE to do it.

Does that mean I should stop just because there a ton more artists that are better than me at drawing?

Heck, no!

Why should that stop me? That should ENCOURAGE me to get better! It seems as if the term "role models" hasn't been used all that recently these days.

So, yeah. Same with all of you out there that write, draw, edit, etc-- are you going to stop doing what you LOVE to do just because someone happens to be better at it?

Skinny Stamp

My first stamp in ages.
BTW, this stamp isn't meant to attack those with disorders or those with heavier weights (although I realize there are some with disorders that don't allow them to gain weight easily).

The thing is this. I can understand how some people can prefer or be attracted to heavier body types or bodies with more "meat" at times. That's fine and I understand that different people will have different preferences; some like skinny, some like heavy, some like in-between, some like certain kinds of muscles, etc.

What I -don't- particularly like is how a number of people think it's apparently okay to talk about "size acceptance" and then turn around and say things like, "you don't have enough meat, you're not a real person" or "you're skinny and you're not healthy." Or suddenly there's no such thing as being "naturally" skinny. Apparently you must have "starved yourself," don't eat enough, or something is inherently "wrong" with you since you "look like a stick."
I've been skinny my whole life, I exercise, I eat regularly, and I honestly don't see my body as "sickly" or malnourished/starved just because I don't weigh a certain thing. That's not to say that being skinny to the point where it's hurting you is a good thing, but different people have different types. Just like you can have extra meat and be healthy, people can also have naturally skinny body types and be perfectly fine and I think this can apply to anyone of any gender. Skinnier folks can be just as "real" or "human" as those with more meat.

So, here's the thing. It actually depends with me.
When you're having a debate and you wanna sound intelligent, I wouldn't overdo the cussing. But frankly, if you're having a debate with a complete idiot, I wouldn't blame you for not being able to control your mouth.

Same goes for when I get angry or upset. I tend to let loose on the language.

But honestly. If someone can't handle a few bad words (I just think it's funny when I go to a stamp and people baww in the comments about "I LUV UR STAMP BUT I WISH U CUSSED A LITTLE LESS "), then your place isn't here. On the wonderful world of the internet, ESPECIALLY places like deviantart where you're fucking allowed to, you should grow some thicker skin or find your place on Club Penguin, or God forbid, Roblox.

Not here.

Not to mention, you can't exactly tell someone what to do in regards to how they talk, especially when it's not against the rules. I agree, cussing a LOT does make someone look like an idiot, but sometimes, when it comes to some issues, I don't blame people for exploding in a flurry of "FUCK"s and "GODDAMMIT"s.

Look, I actually love deviantArt. Seriously. But the sheer stupidity of some of the admins (not all, mind) and the shit that they refuse to take down or pay heed to is really making me pissed. Many also have double standards; they'll take down loads of shit but then refuse to do it for someone else. I don't know much about the Internet world, I have to admit, but what I've seen of it often times makes me cringe: for some inexplicable reason, kids nowadays seem to think proclaiming to the Heavens that they have something wrong with "their heads" is OMGLIEKTTLYKEWL, and it's become like a fad to have OCD/Depression/Panic Attacks, or what have you. I can't be sure whether these kids might actually have something wrong with them, per se, but the reality of individuals with actual mental disorders is that it does not make you more of a SPESHUL SNOWFLAKE, and OMGAWESOME; in my experience, it can, in fact, be pretty debilitating.

That said, just reading the DSM-IV [link] does not make you a specialist on mental disorders, nor does taking an online quiz about the sort of mental disorder you have is any indication to whether there is something wrong with you; in any case, if you think you might be troubled, it's always best to get a professional opinion.

Apart from that, your OC with the plethora of mental disorders isn't OMGKEWLDESU, either. I can tolerate realistic depictions of mental disorders in fiction, but not when it's dumbed down to the point that it doesn't even friggin' match the definition of the disorder the character proclaims to have-- maybe investing in complex characterisation might be a better idea, who knows?

Lombaxes.are.Overrated

Yes, yes they are...

Don't get me wrong, I love the furry bastards as much as the next person in the Ratchet and Clank fandom but srsly, how many freakin' Lombax OCs are we going to see? What about the other species in the games' universe?

Vullards, Agorians, Blaarg, Fongoids, Cragmites, the list goes on and on. Why are there just Lombax OCs when there are so many other other (cooler or/and under-loved) species in the series. Agorians and Vullards are by far my favs yet I only seen a few in between. In fact, I don't think I ever seen a Vullard OC!

So why just limit yourself to just one species. There's tons to choose from not to mention make some interesting stories and backgrounds matter on the one you decide to make. I already have an Agorian, Blaarg and Terachnoid character, as well as some species I made up in the progress. We've seen so many Lombaxes already that it's kinda unoriginal with each new OC...

PS: This isn't an attack on anyone who draws/writes Lombaxes or Lombax OCs. I have no problem with that, I'm just kinda bored with seeing them all the time. If you enjoy drawing them, be my guest, there's even a few I like from some artist in the fandom (you know why you guys are), but hey, I still think the others need some more lovin' as well. Maybe I even inspired you with this stamp.

Now here's a main point for the most of you (nice and mean both):
Check the title of the stamp.
Now the first two (scrolling) lines.
And the description.

This isn't about letting people making the next KKK or whatever illegal/etc decisions they make, this is about people not making any more damn sexuality stamps. We wouldn't 'need' them if people didn't keep making such a big deal out of something that isn't necessary info for the average Joe. I understand that people consider sexuality a major part of their identity, but I am a tomboy PC gamer and consider this a greater representation of 'me' than my asexuality. I also live my life in and through music - singing, humming, listening to it to calm down and playing my own music to help me fall asleep. Anyone who knows me can tell you that not an hour goes by I'm not singing, humming, or listening to music. Yet I don't introduce myself as such to everyone and make a hundred freaking stamps about any of it and I certainly don't get offended when others don't do the same or make stamps about liking Xbox games or just reading in silence more.

To clear up additional confusion the "I detest" is not there to say you should allow hate. It is there for these reasons:
So there are three prefixes to four qualities, meaning they all match up eventually
Because I have seen stamps such as these, and
because people making these stamps are the ones that should be doing the decision-respecting.

As for my use of the world 'decisions':
The 'respecting decisions' applies to more than just sexuality (although sexuality is the focus of this stamp). This is, in fact, my mantra.
Whether I say 'decisions' or 'natures', someone will complain (can't please everyone), and
the line would be too long if I said decisions/natures - it's going fast enough already. Plus
your sexuality may or may not be a conscious decision. But look at it this way - your choice to ACT ON IT is.

And, uh, before I get in more comments in like (don't worry, you previous guys are forgiven ). I did not want this to be featured. I still don't. Of all my stuff to be DD'd, this would be among the last. So please do not accuse me of wanting publicity, because I'm having trouble dealing with what this stamp has garnered already. Thanks.

EDIT:Doubled its length to allow for slower (and therefore easier to read) text. And before any idiots complain that it now supports/detests something they detest/support, note that there are three prefixes but four traits, so they all end up matched with each other eventually. It's just this time you can actually READ them because they move at the same speed.

Ironically I used a stamp (about sexuality, more or less) to say how seriously, I get way too many sexuality stamps in my inbox. (Both support and detest stamps, interestingly enough.)

I had to overlap/warp frames so you are still reading the third line when the first reappears, but I redid that section a couple dozen times and this was the best I could get.

In fact, even after uploading this (but before hitting 'submit') I redid the bottom line, and recoloured it.

Sorry, then, for the swift reading and super-eyesight required.

Be grateful I didn't put the shine animation on this one. That would have been too far.

I love seeing this excuse used by different people over and over whenever they leave an explosive comment over something stupid or write a certain type of journal (usually sympathy ones from what I've seen going "this is so-and-so, -insertusername's- friend") or cover with, "oh, my little sister/brother/cousin must have logged in and written that" or "my friend must have written that while I was away since they like to mess with me so IGNORE THAT, IT NEVER HAPPENED."
Or when people just use it for general "back tracking" over stupid shit they shouldn't have started. Also because blaming it on your little brother is great modeling.

Because it's totally smart and plausible to give out your deviantart account or whatever online account to where an impressionable younger sibling or cousin can access it.
Seriously, even I don't give my passwords to "best friends."
Especially when I know they like to "screw around."

I just don't have the time to reply to all of these comments by repeating the same thing again and again so I'm closing them for now. I might reopen them someday but honestly I'm tired of trolls.

This is my own opinion and I won't change my mind about that so don't bother trying to convince me.

I just can't stand knowing so many animals are caged, bred, have to endure high stress and sufferings and end being skinned just for the sake of having a nice-looking coat while fake fur exists and is far less expensive while still looking pretty good. If you can't live without a fur coat because it's the best-looking thing on Earth to you, then just have a fake fur one.

(And don't start talking about Eskimos or people living in very cold countries, this is about fur farms breeding animals just for the sake of skinning them, understood?)

THE POINT OF THIS STAMP IS TO EXPRESS MY OWN OPINION ON FUR FARMS AND PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT THIS INDUSTRY BY BUYING COATS/CLOTHING ITEMS MADE OUT OF THESE POOR ANIMALS' SKIN

By the way, that quote is a well-known one, I didn't made it up myself.

All the fur images here are from my own photographs of my ratties (I added leopard spots on Fenrir's fur using photoshop).
White one is Helyan, fawn (apricot colored) one is from Gaheris (RIP sweetheart ), "leopard" one is from Fenrir, grey one is from Lohengrin, "wild-feline-looking" one is from Belphegor (a rattie I fostered last year).

The skinned alive rabbit is from a vegan blog (there were plenty terrible images showing it with open eyes and seemingly moving), I asked permission to use it but the user told me he wasn't the copyright holder and he found this image on a free stock image website, if someone knows the original photographer please tell me so I can ask if I can use it or remove the image according to his/her wishes.

Why no mature content filter? Would you put a mature content filter on a photography of a piece of meat? I guess the answer is no. Then this doesn't need one either (plus the image of the rabbit barely lasts half a second and this is very far from being the most terrible image I found).

Yeah, I haven't made a stamp in a while have I?
But I wanted to make this stamp after one of my friends got raided on her own page for having a different opinion about a Storm Hawks pairing than the bandwagon. So this stamp is for her. ^^
For Christ sake people, not everyone thinks like you. I am not expecting everyone to think like me. Not everyone in the world is the same. (what a dull world it would be.. )
If someone else hated a movie that I like, that is their opinion and them hating it won't stop me from liking it.
You can't always change people's opinions about certain things, I am not saying you have to like their opinion. Just respect it either way. Just use it as a excuse to hate someone. ugh -.-
Then there are those people who constandly keep saying that they hate it and why they hate it as if you cared or trying to make you hate it and be like them.

I admit half of the time I don't care about weather people hate what I like, that usually results in me ignoring anything they say. xDD

Maybe I should have made a stamp that said "Respect other's opinions" than what it says here, then maybe it won't sound as bitchy xD

So...I was talking with the other day and I said I failed as a girl. Mostly because I keeps asking my friend how she can tie her hair up in a high ponytail.

Personally, I tie my hair in a very low ponytail. If I tie it up high,then my hair gets completly messed up

Not only for that reason,I dont wear lipstick/gloss, skirts, pink, bows, I like the opposite

No offence to girls who do all that stuff, Im just saying that Im not what people expect from a girl.

This stamp wasn't intended to gets so much favs or views, it was something I made a couple years ago through complete and utter boredom. As you can see from the many grammar mistakes at the beginning, I was very naive and annoying with this, parading around with arrogance, boldly stating the fact that I was a tomboy. That was then, now I'm more comfortable with myself and who I am to not be so naive. No, I'm not saying that I'm not into girly things to be "cool", I am saying that because it is me and I am human, and as a human, I have the right to be comfortable with my own body and who I am.

Yes, it can be very hard sometimes. Especially if you have negative influence from your peers or family members. All I can say to you is, it gets better. Yes, it is a very cliche saying and I'm you've all heard it many times, but it is true.
