_{Algo que llevaba desde hace como una semana.

Realmente no estaba satisfecha con el 1er resultado de dibujo grupal, asi que pense en hacer algo tipo "rosetones", y salio esto.

Parte de los objetos que posee cada personaje, es representativo a un modo de juego ideal con dicho personaje, y ademas, relacionado con algo que hare en el futuro.

WHAT THE CHRIST. THIS IS THE LEAST WORKED ON PONY COMIC I HAVE. IT'S IN SCRAPS FOR A REASON. IT IS NOT WORTHY OF EQD... (omg something of mine made it to EQD...... I... I can't think.... QAQ )
*BRB FREAKING OUUUUUUT*

*Original text is below, excuse my screaming of confusion.*
_{I am so sorry about how sloppy this looks. While I had initially sketched this out after the episode originally aired, I didn't get to really mess with it (and thus mess it up) until a certain stupid tooth surgery. Numb, tired and angry (and freaking hungry), I started forgetting which layer I was working on (amongst other things).

I am not going to fix it because what free time I have is going to other things (like VAST). All I hope for is at least the idea is presented well enough to be thought worthy to think about.

Back to your regularly scheduled program, I will show myself the exit.}

*Original Idea*
I think what the episode was trying to portray everyone feeling compelled to do the other's work in a messed up mental history of whom was whom blended with fate. They feel like they should be doing something else but can't help but do this other thing anyway. The song however, gave me a different idea. How do you know what the cutie mark is telling you?

Cutie Marks have always baffled me. I'm not the only brony who is confused about it's powers, nor the only one who has jested at how it works. So here are my unwanted opinions:

Cutie Marks are suppose to show up when you discover what you are good at in life, but how it decides to represent that is vague at best. You do the right thing and then an image appears on your behind. (If you don't catch that image fast enough however, could you mistaken what that thing is?)

The episode didn't quite explain how they think their lives where warped. Only in the end it felt like a dream, quite like Discord's spell.

So going off just on what the cutie mark symbols look like and how others may interpret that. With RD's attitude, if she were to think she became an animal trainer/keeper, I would think the cutie mark would look something like your cliché animal 'tamer' with circus stage and lion whip. Why would she think butterflies = animal care?

Rarity's gems... it could just as easily translate into dragon chef into this world. How can you tell it's for fashion design? Especially of the cloth sort, could just as easily be a jeweler. And since Pinkie Pie works at a bakery, I don't see how the apple cutie mark means she has to leave the shop. If anything, it just means her pastries are more specific (where the hell was AJ's family?).

But then my idea would take longer to adapt into an episode and plays more into character psychology and what is destiny anyways how can we assume that is what is meant to be, trying to be happy even if we never get to do our dream job (
So that's my interpretation. In the end it doesn't matter, especially since we have yet to see parts 2 and 3 yet and thus it's unfair to truly judge this episode until then.

~Twylite-Sparkle Brought up the cool idea that this helps explain how many ponies can have the same cutie mark but have different jobs. All in interpretation!

I would super appreciate if your comment didn't consist of complaining about the original episode. I KNOW, I'M NOT HAPPY WITH IT EITHER. Please however, share your ideas and "What ifs" of how it would have been better done.

G3.5 styled Applejack and Applebloom.

The generation's style was not well-recieved. Collectors voiced their dislike of the "turtle look" and the demographic neither saw their appeal, leaving the generation an unsuccessful one.
When I first saw the art for G4, I had a far more negative reaction than with G3.5. Seeing it animated helped a lot. Drawing fanart made me understand the designs.
Yet, without ever seeing the style in motion or drawing fanart to understand the art, people kept bashing on the G3.5 style.
So I thought I should try it out.

And I found there was nothing but pure love poured into these designs.
You should give it a shot too. I promise, it's fun.

slice of life - background pony designs

Pretty much just what it says. I was in a mood last night where I didn't want to work on anything in particular, I just wanted to draw random ponies, so I figured I might as well design some background ponies for Slice of Life. Then I was told to post this here instead of just on tumblr, so okay!

I'm not anywhere near creative enough to make proper OCs, so they're all (with two exceptions) based directly off of G1 ponies. From top down, left to right:

- Salty, Minty
- Lofty, Softshoe, Mimic (she's a pegasus now because reasons), Heart Throb
- Clipper, Powder, Gusty, Fizzy, Spring Song

The kids are supposed to be slightly younger than the CMC in canon, so Gusty is somewhat precocious (and very smug) in having her cutie mark already.

I got a few more suggestions, but this is probably enough for now.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is just magical! I had a very good time watching the show, probably because of how simple, natural, lovely, dig-gable and the harmony that puts every bits of its elements together.

Despite being a guy, I share some eccentric similarities with Twilight Sparkle, being a avaricious bookworm and a hopeless egghead with the tendency of snapping occasionally but badly under nonexistent, imaginative stress. Also as Twilight did in the beginning of the the series, I wasn't quite interested in "being friends" with the other 5 ponies since all of them somehow annoyed me a bit. But as I follow the show, like Twilight, I eventually came to love them all!

I concentrated my share of love to MLPFiM into this piece of fanart. I modified their appearances to fit my own design pattern which I can handle with full confidence. Wallpaper version are included as well. Hope you like the picture and the show!

And it's great to see the creator of MLPFIM is a Deviant too! XD

Though I didn't have much ideas for this year, I decided to craft something a little simple and sweet: Christmas Ginger-bread cookies of my pals here on Deviantart. Trying out coloring with the pen and brush, I like the results it gives. I might keep using this method.

A mixture of Katawa Shoujo, avisual novel whose name literally translates to "Crippled Girl", and Durarara!!, an epic anime about... I honestly have no idea and I've watched it twice.

List of Characters (in order of appearance)

Hisao Nakai: The protagonist of the story. Has trouble getting used to his new life at Yamaku.

Shiina "Misha" Mikado: The interpreter for Shizune. A loud and bubbly member of the Student Council.

Shizune Hakimichi: Path Girl. A deaf-mute in Hisao's home room. Neat and serious, she is the president of the Student Council.

Akio Mutuo: Hisao's homeroom teacher. Loosely based on House.

Yuuko Shirakawa: The dizty school librarian. Also holds a job at a local cafe.

Kenji Setou: Hisao's legally blind hallmate. Believes in the vast feminist conspiracy which plots the destruction of mankind.

Emi Ibarazaki: Path Girl. A girl whose leg's were amputated after a car accident. Always full of energy, she runs track for the school team.

Nurse: The head nurse of Yamaku. Rumor has it he was based off of a pedophilic doctor on 4-chan.

Nomiya: The art teacher who also runs the art club. A bit obnoxious. Proud of his star pupil, Rin.

Rin Tezuka: Path Girl. An armless artist due to a birth defect. Although her paintings may seem srange, Rin is even stranger; even her basic ideas on life and philosophy are enough to highly confuse.

Akira Satou: Lilly's sister. That's right. It's a chick.

Hideaki Hakimichi: Shizune's brother. That's right. It's a dude.

Lilly Satou: Path Girl. Blind since birth, Lilly attended a private all-girls acadamy until recently. Enjoys sipping tea with her best friend, Hanako.

Hanako Ikezawa: Path Girl. A fire left her physicaly and mentally scarred for life. Has a huge complex about her appearance and will run for dear life at the mere thought of a converstaion.

Iwanako: The girl who confessed her love to Hisao. The trauma of this event brought out Hisao's medical condition, arrythmia.

I do believe I spent over 24 hours on this baby. Oh yeah.

Okay, so here's my latest animation snippet. Oh man, did it suck trying to cram this thing onto DeviantArt. Did you know you need permission to upload 'films'? Because I didn't until about an hour ago.

I am rubbish at Flash, which I've had to use as a stopgap, so, there are no fancy preloading bars or anything (if it runs like poop on your computer, I'm sorry, I will upload a YouTube mirror in a bit). EDIT: Here we go, YouTube mirror.

It's still a draft, so no sound and quite an 'unfinished' feel (and rubbish compression quality thanks to shoehorning it into a Flash container) but hey, it's been a couple of weeks now and I'm desperate to share something. :3

It's the intro scene of a much larger project which I'm working on. No ETA for that, but I hope it will be awesome... You know, when it's finished. In ten years. Pfft.

I'll be upping more experimental animations from time to time while I figure things out, if people are interested in seeing more snippets and bits and bobs.

*Screensaver is a slightly lower frame rate, higher res, no audio, few mistakes fixed while I was at it. Not amazing quality (free tool used to convert a freshly made SWF) but should look okay on 16:9 monitors and whatnot. Let me know what you think! (Should be virus free, I'm not responsible if your PC catches fire blah blah)

I promised I'd finish it! So I did. I originally left it in the show's style, but I felt it could use a bit of spicing up, so I gave it some soft shading on top of that. D'aawwwww.

This turned out better than I was hoping.

I have this not-so-secret love and enthusiastic support for Katawa Shoujo. Even though she and I are nothing alike, Hanako is my favorite character from the game. So basically I pretty much had to cosplay her, even though it meant nobody would recognize me. I got asked if I was Saeko from HotD countless times. Really.

Wearing latex and heavy makeup on the right side of my face and hand was worth it for the people that did recognize me and as Emi, though! It was great talking to other fans of the game. I had burn makeup all over the right side of my face... which I am covering in this photo, lmao. Oops.

You're doing great!

I've always loved the designs of the princesses' parents that were done by *SpyrotheFox (as seen here), and finally got around to fanarting them.

A few people asked, so: no, this does not officially take place in the little canon of my Celestia and Luna comics (although to be fair, their shared canon is pretty loose to begin with). I just wanted to draw fanart of some pretty ponies.
