So this is the wonderful Portia de Rossi, who was in Arrested Development (my fav role) and wife of Ellen DeGeneres They are the sweetest couple..watching their wedding footage made me cry T___T (this coming from someone who doesn't care for weddings) AAAAH this videos so cute

...sorry for the fangirliness

Anyways, I've never had much luck...actually...I've had NO luck showing celebs the drawings I've made of them, but I'm gunna try again to show Ellen this.

materials:
-bristol paper
-graphite pencil: 2H, F, and 0.3 mechanical pencil
-pastel for eyeshadow, lips, and background at top
-marker for eyes
-acrylic for doodles around the edges

This is an image made for ImagineFX issue 54, Painter vs Photoshop review article.

Being a bit bored with painting women in dresses, I wanted to make something slightly self-ironic for a change. I don't think I've ever had as much fun painting anything. The trash and chicken took quite a bit of googled reference. Especially the newspapers were hell to get right. [link]

Well, it's been a long while, hasn't it... Well I am finally here, updating with something new!

"Judith" is my first personal piece in around 2 years of doing only commercial work. Working on this piece took me a lot of time: many hours were spent on thinking and composing it in my head, 40 hours of pure painting and a dozen hours for preparing the accompanying files.Painted in Photoshop with a Wacom Intuos 4 medium. I used photo and live references for loose inspiration and stylization. No copying whatsoever. You can view them here: [link]
