Yay! After a while, I'm uploading some digital impressionism stuff again.

I painted this a loooooooong time ago.. on October 2010!! as concept art for Evil Spell, a game developed by Dark Ride Studios. The game didn't make it finally and it wasn't finished. So I'm allowed to post the images I painted for them finally and sell them as prints

She had to be sexy and evil As far as I remember, I looked at some images from Megan Fox, Miss Mosh and myself for the face. I also took some pictures of myself as reference for the pose! lol It was really funny since I put myself on some clothes similar to these but I didn't have any guns, so I just took some glass jars to emulate the pose.

I've currently finished my first realistic woman painting, which I'm going to submit soon, and it's funny because I felt digital impressionism was really my style but I enjoy doing realistic characters too!(I still prefer digital impressionism though, it allows me to play more with light and color ). I wanted so badly to upload this image when I finished it. Now, after a while, I don't like it as much as before but I still like it and have a good feeling about it I hope you like it too!

Done in about 5 days and also the time of pre-production taking pics for reference (now I'm much faster even with realistic stuff! lol). Everything painted with Photoshop CS4 + wacom Graphire 4

I always start these out of laziness so I don't have to think of a more interesting subject. Then I'm sucked into the Rendering Whirlpool of Despair and end up spending hours frustratedly trying to get it to not look terrible. In the end I cropped away the rest of her body, which I had spent the most time on, anyway. Ugh.

Hi!

It's been a while since I've done anything more than a sketch, but over the weekend I finally found some courage to do a painting :3 So, here we go. Done in PS CS3, stretched over 3 days, with lots of breaks. All from imagination, and speaking of that, it turned out fairly close to what I had in mind, so I'm happy <3 And I hope, at least hope that my work is moving in a slightly less boring direction ö_ö I'm tired of my paintings just being technical exercises.

Anyways, thanks for looking! I saved some steps too, go here to see them!

Title: Early Bloom

Once every ten years, before the red flowers of the Rutilus Tree fully bloom, the Blossoming Dissimulic will come out of its nest inside the tree to feed. The bright red hairs on its antlers resemble Rutilus flowers and attract a huge array of little critters from the forest. This one week of feeding will sustain the Dissimulic as it hibernates until the next Rutilus blossom.

This painting was done for the cover of ImagineFX 72. The whole issue is on creatures so I was more than excited to do the cover! I also added an hour long tutorial of the making of the cover. I'm hardly the first to mention the similarities, but I haven't seen any drawings of Stitchified Toothless so I had to get it out of my system while it's still fresh.

Not meant as a jab at Chris Sanders and his gorgeous character art, simply because if I had my way he would design everything and every Disney princess would have lusciously huge thighs and surprisingly wide-set eyes.

Also worth saying: SUCH A FINE FILM. Way to go, Dreamworks.

Kei and I were fortunate to travel to Japan back in May 2010. We visited Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hakone. We loved it there. People were so unbelievably polite and there was a wonderful sense of morals as well as a beautiful unique culture. The beauty of the land was incomparable as it's architecture and design.

We have been so sad to hear and see the devastation the earthquake and tsunami has brought to these wonderful people.

I did this drawing below for the people of Japan. This and a copy of our "Ancient Japan Sketches" (currently sold out) will be auctioned off this Thursday. The book is signed and drawn in by Kei Acedera.

The proceeds will go to ARTISTS HELP JAPAN organized by the amazing Dice Tsutsumi. [link]

A large format illustration created for a client in Australia. This was modeled and textured in Maya 2011 and rendered with Vray. The final output size was 17,000 pixels wide. Render time at full resolution was about 13 hours

I can safely say the Karate Kid is my most inspirational movie as a child. Its scenes are now legendary - the crane, Creese telling Johnny to 'Sweep the Leg', and ofcourse, the fly catching scene.

Since it was such a momentous movie in my life I chose to use it as the theme to a children's charity gallery where this piece will be auctioned off.

Here is my personal work done for fun and practise for improving my skill.
The concept is about a little cupid need to go to the waterfall with his friend (maybe myself ). The waterfall is on the back of the creature (tutle + land) it's name is the World. It will come at that place one time per 86 years. So they really need to be there hehe.
I'm not sure exactly where is that place in the picture and I think maybe it is on the heaven (not sure) anywahere it is very happinese place becouse I was very enjoy when I painted this one.

J'ai ça dans la tête ? je sais même pas se que c'est o_Ô

ah... je viens de me rappeler ! les moustaches y sont pour quelque chose ! (mais qu'est-ce qu'y raconte -_- )
Dans je sais plus dans quel contexte, j'ai vu un enfant avec ces trois traits symboliques et universels, élémentaires mais tellement plein de bonnes choses.
J'ai aussi vu un court métrage japonais bien sympa avec une gamine bourrée d'imagination qui s'en dessine à la volé, "Manie-Manie Meikyuu Monogatari". Mais à part des moustaches, un chat et une gamine, ya Vraiment aucun rapport. Je crois que j'ai le pyjama de Lain en tête aussi, après coup.

Arrh, mais je vois plus rien ma parole (pask'il est 2h du matin peu être). Des critiques je veux des critiques, des avis et des critiques.

This is a painting I had stuck in my head for a while (after watching Avatar) but only recently was able to find some time to paint it. The story is it's a creature that rides a 'squirrel-like' animal and gathers mushrooms for magic potions.

It's always wonderful to paint things that are personal to how I feel or the things that concern me. I just wish this idea wasn't inspired by an event that was so horrific such as the BP oil spill.
