Mah Burshes

Here are my brushes. The top half are just variants of basic brushes, the
bottom half were made from ink blots that I scanned.

I'll be doing a livestream tutorial tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7:00 PM EST,
showing how I use these brushes. I'll also try to demonstrate how to make
things look "painterly" without looking messy. Or at least, that's what I'm
going to TRY to do. We'll see how well it goes.

Terms of Use:
If you want these brushes... take them. You don't have to pay me, you don't
have to credit me, you don't even have to thank me. I made them in about
five minutes, and I hate when people try to charge for things like this.

OKAY… Sooooo yeah. You can read the above for details. Basically I want to do more pay-what-you-want type stuff. I think it’s a model that’s really awesome and fair to everyone, and can be used in a lot of neat ways, like this! It also means MORE people get to enjoy free stuff, and I hopefully will mean I’ll have more time to draw free stuff for people. I’ll definitely be doing some pin-ups on this model too!

But back to this. Yeah! I think doing a livestream like this has a lot of benefits that a static tutorial lacks! I’ve always believing in hands on approaches to learning and teaching. In addition to the .PSD, the zip file contains presets for the brushes I’ll use for easy access, though they’re all defaults you can use too.

Again, THIS IS FREE, but if you’d like to contribute any funds, that’s awesome! If not, that’s awesome too! Let’s have fun learnding!

I think I saw myself actually improve with this one. I actually started off with numbers 2 and 3 first but didn't number them until i reached about 80. reference used for most of them but the last few I could see and draw the feet without having the need to reference or having too much trouble with it, unlike at the beginning xDD.

so...am i good enough to start a feet tutorial or should i practice another 100? xD; we'll see how it goes, i guess

I think I want to do a hundred hands as well, but with a little more difficult poses and perspectives.
most of these I was looking at pictures on baidu.com with links to random chinese sites, also my own feet was referenced (and then near the end i used no references /yay/), and some of them are referenced from *SenshiStock's stock pictures.

ps. there's something weird going on with my notes and i can't seem to open them at the moment; not sure if it's due to extremely slow internet or what, so, sorry peeps who noted me, i can't reply yet.

Well I was chillin (taking a lil break drawing commish) and just randomly thought of making a tutorial D: So yea here it is.. Hope you'll find it helpful! ;3;
Sorry it was kinda rushed OTL and I'm not really good with words (not to mention my english sucks) so forgive me if you find it hard to understand the text /dead

*Btw the blueish thing doesn't really works on all pictures, like it depends on the theme? I dun really know I'm not pro =A=. But yea it's better to observe/study on real life pic for reference and or cool paintings OTL.

Edit: Okay so Flarefyre is kind enough to explain the bluish thing for me XD so yea the bluish thing works because the bg is blue, so the reflected light is blue. if it was sunset/afternoon, when the sky is red, the reflected light might have been redder. : D

These are just a few of the body types I've noticed while looking at wimminz on the internet.

There are entirely too many. Not fun at all. I didn't even mess with super thin, and heavy set versions of these. I'm still trying to figure out the bases. Mostly time consuming, but when I finally get around to drawing my characters, I'd like to have a few standards to go by.

I really need to be working on heads and shoulders, not torsos, but I loves me a torso.

The one with the wide hip at the thigh usually has an ass to go with it I've noticed. Fairly common on black women. Interesting to note that if you aren't familiar with women's clothes, the hip measurement is actually measured at the widest part of the thigh, not the actual hip bone.

If you made a comment about what body type you were, I'm trying to include you, but I'll have to cut off at some point before this image becomes super huge, and I eat an entire sketch pad, haha.

If you are 2nd body type in the second row, consider finding jeans made for black women if you haven't been already. I hear they are expensive though...

I've been asked many times from notes about the brushes that I use as well as request for .abr/.tpl file. So here they are . ^^

How to put the .abr /.tpl (brush file) to Photoshop

What it does
This fades out the emoticons in comment signatures on deviantART. I made this because some people thought it would go better with the new signature style dA just implemented.

- The stylish add on.

For clarification:
- User styles work in your browser to change the appearance of (some of) the pages you view. So installing this does not effect how others see your signature, but how you see everyone's signatures.
- deviantART changed the way signatures look. This script only changes how the emoticons look in them. Let dA know what you think of the new signatures here: [link]

Among other awesome things, deviantART recently announced in a Site Update that, at popular request, they have changed the style of signatures to make them less prominent and distracting from the comment Which is great, I think, but some people found the emoticons in it too distracting. ^kingmancheng, ^pica-ae and I discussed this and realised it was easy to change for those who want to
(yes, we need to collaborate on what could be a single line of code, don't judge )

The code would have to be a bit more complicated to support older versions of IE as well - then again as far as I'm aware IE doesn't have a version of stylish (or another way to add custom CSS to pages you browse) in the first place. Let me know if I'm wrong!

-Loads more plz accounts as you scroll for seamless browsing
-Drag and drop plz icons into the conversation
-Instantly add your favorite plz accounts to your personal list which is saved on your browser
-Add new and missing plz accounts without leaving the page

This solves many issues with helpplz inline. And when I update the extension you'll be notified by chrome so you can update without having to re-install like you would a user-script.

Okay, this is kinda new to me, I never ever done a tutorial before, I just read them a lot. So I start with a simple one, which is the first step in my every coloring tutorial (I won't grab drawings, that's too complicated to start)
To follow this tutorial, you don't actually need any previous knowledge about photoshop, but I strongly recomend that you play around with the tools since that's how I learned all I know (seriously, no art lessons, I'm actually not joking [except for drawings, I had 8 damn years of lessons])

Next I think I'll do a skin tutorial... sounds cool, huh?

Knees don't often get much attention, so I figured if anything this might inspire more people to focus on some of the details that are often over-shadowed by more important elements.

You'll have to excuse the very primitive work, as this is more of a documentation of what I noticed. With observation you'll find real knees to be much more detailed and... precise. xD

This piece was inspired by a strange dream that I had yesterday. In the dream, I was Pikachu travelling across a lake with a Taillow and a flying Wooper. o_0

This piece was also inspired by the song "Believe in Me." "To be a master is my dream" is my favourite part of the lyrics.
