Done so much in this last month as well. Made a new logo for myself. Redesigned my social links site. Wrote a number of tutorials that will be making their way online eventually. So, I guess my plan had some minor flaws. Namely that when you tie up deviantART staff with yarn and lock them in their office supply closet, they can use scissors and letter openers to break free. I even put a mirror on the inside of the door to confuse them! How did they know that was the way out? They're some smart humans.

They broke free, activated their laser pointers, and regained control of the servers and databases while we were dreadfully distracted. Now, everything is back to normal on deviantART. Worst of all, they said we "were very, very bad" and that they were "disappointed in us". By intensity i mean, playing with lighting and shadow to create a more intense stock portrait.

Using lighting is perfectly fine. Lighting of model stock adds a great reference for drawing/painting from.Also lighting adds atmosphere to an image and can really help to enhance the final result.

I took some mini portrait shots using a few (not all) types of lighting you could consider!

Having a few stock images/sets like this can really be useful and make your stock gallery more diverse.
