2011 Ferrari World Design Contest - 2nd Prize Winner

My Ferrari project was an idea of designing a model that a synthesis of its technological knowledge and its sporting experience.

This project must be the source of the highest level of technology characterizing a unique car, which is absolutely innovative and represents the quintessence of Ferrari past and present and looks to the Ferrari of the future.

With this objective aim was to develop a hyper car as an integrated system aimed at achieving extreme performance.

Xezri When project started I wanted to design very original, elegant, pure, modern, simple and the most importantly dynamic hyper car which will keep the legacy of Ferrari.

STYLING AND PERSONALISATION

Xezris ultra sporty character and blistering performance have led to design of many of its exterior and interior styling features. This was done to give the hyper model its own strong personality and to further the aerodynamic of what is a very hyper car. The developments made to the exterior focus on increasing downforce. In-depth research went into reducing the cars weight and has led to extensive use of carbon-fibre, including some of the flexible components.

The new Mono-Seat interior has been inspired by racing and futuristic jet fighters and, once again, the emphasis has been on weight reduction and using technical materials where possible also to use high technology on devices.

This interior features an innovative driving environment with a new kind of steering wheel and dashboard that is the direct result of futuristic jet fighter interior designs.

The seat boasts and all carbon fibre structure and is available in several different sizes as well as being manually adjustable.

Why monoseat?

Reason is to enhance the message that is a lean, track focused drivers car. Who is not disturbed by second person while driving.

Interior is another world of the car that exalts its sport personality. The driver is welcomed by revolutionary ergonomic interface where main controls are all on side touch screens. These screens are also the rear cameras whichs located on front shoulders.

Side mirrors always have been a aerodynamic problem. So these small bullet formed cameras are resolving this problem completely.

I made researches about how to get free energy for extending power of vehicle and new technological flexible aerodynamic parts to help cars aero dynamism.

The Ferrari Xezris external styling has been honed to improve its aerodynamic efficiency by flexible parts on it.

OK… C’est mon premier filé d’étoiles, c’est aussi ma première Daily Deviation. Une bonne surprise, surtout pour quelqu’un qui était à des lieues de courir après cette reconnaissance ultime qu’est la DD sur Deviant Art… Sans compter qu’il s’agit d’une image qui sort un peu de mes recherches habituelles. Je voulais donc témoigner de mon immense gratitude au suggesteur de cette DD, *tbfdm , ainsi qu’à ¢nyssi , pour avoir tous deux pensé que cette photographie en valait la peine. Pollution Nocturne est une série qui me tient à cœur, car j’aime la nuit, j’aime marcher dans le noir à la seule lumière des étoiles ; je vous invite donc à jeter un coup d’œil à la série en son entier.

OK… First star trail, first Daily deviation too. This is really a great surprise, especially for someone who was way far from looking after this ultimate reward which is the DD here on deviant Art… Furthermore, this image is a little bit outstanding regards to my usual works. I would like then to express my great gratitude to the suggester of this DD, *tbfdm , and to ¢nyssi , for having both thought that this photography was worth it. Pollution Nocturne is a series I like a lot, because I love the night, I love walking into the dark with the only light of the stars; I invite you to pay a visit to the whole of the series.

I proudly present my latest wallpaper. The story: You are in the captain's office right after a larger fight. The ship was heavily damaged but the homefleet was successful. At the moment you are on the search for the rest of the escaped aggressors. The captain starts to have doubts about his mission, his job and his life...

Misc

Ok I tried new things in this pic and I'm pretty happy with it's outcome. I ever wanted to creat a flight-scene with larger ships. To avoid confusion: the thing on the right side is an extraterrestrial transmitter. I thougt it's nice to implement new elements to the common stuff. It basically is a mattepainting, textures were taken from cgtextures.com. There'll be only one resolution this time (via download). It's a larger wide-screen so you shouldn't have problems by sizing it down (or adding borders for your personal scree-size).

Pete Harrison vs Niklas Lundberg

'In Japan' is a celebration of Japanese culture blended with the use of architecture and shipping structures, featured here in a collaboration by Niklas Lundberg and Pete Harrison. They both started with a set mix of stock photography and elements, with the challenge of combining them to create two new pieces focusing on divergent aspects of japanese appreciation.

The visuals you see here are the outcome of their ideas and provide an aesthetic and innovative approach with an abstract twist. The two artworks are symbolic of the individual and diverse styles of both designers and engage the viewer in an interesting and unique display of renaissance. Essentially the two pieces were formed using the same resources and whilst we both served art direction on each piece, Niklas primarily worked on the top one and I delivered the latter. ]]>

This was a university project I finished last january. Unlike the usual, this design was build in Alias Autostudio 2009. so it's my very first (and by far last) 3D model.

Have you ever felt the need to be all alone and perhaps read a book, or just lay back in your bed and ponder at your thoughts about your everyday life or your dreams or the people you call friends, family or lovers and really appreciate that silence and solitude?
I think we all have.

Perhaps this photo has all that mixed together, one man, one big subway station (not exactly quiet, but it certainly appears so) and me, to covertly capture that moment.
