BG/Key image kind of thing for Mirai Millennium project by Danny Choo (see [link] [link] [link] [link]). I got the permission to display this here, and in the future, other subsequent images from the project as well .

If you happened to be in Danny Choo's panel at AX2011, you might have seen this image there. If you actually remember there was the school one, well, that one ~~is still under tweaking so I'll leave it for next time~~ can now be seen here [link] in 4 seasons .

Just a preview an updated marine model. There's some unfinished subdivision and there's more to come.

The main problem in the details of my models is that I'm running on a dell aged almost 6 years now and a model of this detail already stresses the computer out. I know the quality could be a lot better and I would LOVE to be able to do a LOT more with this but it's gonna have to wait until I can get a new laptop (which i plan on when i got the $$$ haha)

This is a for a prerendered isometric online game. The image on the left shows my initial loose concept design (removed per client request... sorry), and the image on the right shows my final 3D modeled, shaded and lit set (created in Autodesk Maya 8.5, rendered with MentalRay). For this project my good friend Brett has been helping me with the 3D modeling so I could focus on the concept designs and on the final shading/lighting. Fixed up some annoying pixelation on the bars.
Made the bottom "arm" reflect more of the glow.

the code I wrote for this project generates a continuous knotted non-intersecting tube on which I can apply texture, normal map, displacement map, with simple reflection and/or lighting

it was written in Delphi/Pascal and the renderer is also from personal code (no hardware acceleration) but I'm planning to switch to OpenGL

Guess it's about time I post some new stuff. This one here has been a part time project of mine for the past two weeks. I have to say that I had really big plans for this one, in terms of the screen showing the "pianohero" software and what not, but I had to stop somewhere. Couldn't stop working on it so I had to pull the plug and call it finished.

May be a bit far fetched to call this an interface in and of itself, but it started as one. hehe

Galactic Segregation Updated

A little system has since the dawn of times been drifting farther and farther away from its parent galaxy. Soon it will be completely desolate...
I made a few galaxies with a simple technique here, and I'm pretty pleased, since they essentially are my first ones. I'm starting to really appreciate the power of light factory, the only plugin I actually use in ps. Made a few pr3t3nd3r-inspired stars, which I think look pretty cool. I've been a little sluggish regarding the star field, might revisit that and improve it later.

(And that flare on the big planet, that's the peeking sun if such a concept would be hard to comprehend).

Original resolution: 9400^2 px.

EDIT: I finally did the improvements I promised in the comment section. Way better star field, better space dust, and updated the planets.
I also thank for giving me my second DD on this picture!

EDIT (2010-12-21): Made som smaller changes.

Just designed my own Apple Cinema Display HD icon. I'm actually designing my own graphic design website, so I made this icon to use for one of the hardware I use. This icon officially took me the shortest time to make out of all my icons thus far. It's pretty much 70% in the way the gradients are applied. Enjoy!

A lot of people asked me if they could customize the desktop background for the screen, so I provided the PSD to do so . I also created, for ease of use, the exact area where the desktop screenshot should go as a layer mask, so to activate it do these steps:

Place your desktop screenshot or a wallpaper, and if it doesn't fit properly, go to menubar (OS X), or File (Windows) > Select > Load Selection. From the drop down menu, select "Desktop Screenshot Cut", and hit ok, and this will make an automatic selection around the area where the desktop goes. Then just hit delete on the keyboard, and it will delete the excess area on the desktop. This is much more useful if you just want to place a particular wallpaper of your choice on the desktop, rather than a full desktop with the dock, etc, because then it will already be a pre-defined resolution size (that you have to lower to 512). Enjoy!
