Dr. Prometheus Evergreen was a struggling french mathematician that was fascinated with biology. He created a formula that could be introduced to a person's blood and would allow the cells to intake more oxygen. It also gave the body miraculous abilities. Heightened sight, hearing, strength, speed, and the ability to heal rapidly. Abilities that the human species was not able to handle, for these abilities are within others from far away that are far more advanced and evolved.
Dr. Prometheus was hit with a sense of fear, for if the military got their hands on this, it would surely be used in the field.
His fear was fueled by the fact that forty-one attempts to perfect this serum had ended with side-effects that transformed his body into a disfigured creature. He hides this behind his clothing during the day, but as night falls, the remainder transforms into something from another world.
This 6x9 leather journal I present, is the forty-second serum sample. It is the final journal that contains the perfected serum. He gave this book to his youngest daughter Odessa and pleaded with her to never reveal it to another soul.
He had cured his disfigurement and now, was more advanced. Unfortunately, the heightened senses eventually drove him mad. He could not distinguish between fantasy and reality and never gained control of his own strength. The abilities began to multiply and now turned to ailments. Two months after he gave his daughter the journal, he took his own life.
This journal was found in a top secret file hidden away on a military base one-hundred and forty years later. How ironic that Odessa would join the military as a nurse and work her way up to top secret clearance. She worked on some of the most secretive biological experiments during World War I & II.
Lot NO.42 was one of them.

This is a long-term project I've decided to start.
These are merely the first three pages with a sample text and without speech bubbles. It's still in a rough state and I'm not sure if I'll keep this layout you can see here.

I've never drawn an entire comic before and I thought it would be a fun thing to do whenever I have the time.

Look at the sky. It's not dark and black and without character... the black is, in fact, deep blue. And over there: lighter blue, and blowing through the blues and blackness the winds swirling through the air and then shining, burning, bursting through: the stars! And you see how they roar their light. Everywhere we look, the complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes.

This work is part of my official series of Doctor Who poster-paintings based on the newer seasons. This one is of the Eleventh Doctor as played by Matt Smith. Golden Pearl

A Silvery-cheeked Hornbill (Bycanistes brevis).

I know, the hornbill turned out very blue (ordinary the feathers are black with a blue gloss), but there is also a golden pearl in his beak and a very abstract background, so I think that's ok.

This is the first time I used salt and it WORKED!

About 10 hours / watercolour, Polychromos coloured pencils, golden paint marker, pencils, rough and fine salt on watercolour paper.

This is the kinda finished version of this... I keep not liking it... I'm so close to scrapping it, but this looks pretty much done for just a quickie I had random inspiration in. This is of course the hidden scene of Sherlock on the tube since none of the cabs would take him.

I did a little research and read up on the particular instance in the books where he went to the butcher's with a harpoon. That mystery is the "Adventure of Black Peter" and spoilers above and here, the "fierce bearded" one did it. So idk... I thought maybe he solved it and decided to text his conclusion to Lestrade. ^_^

We were shooting the thousands of doves at the Cubitje Quap waterhole in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa, when this lanner falcon struck gold by catching one. I was busy shooting the lanner ripping the dove to peaces in seconds, when the Goshawk suddenly appeared in my viewfinder... Yip, the downside of fixed focals (not that I would have had the chance to adjust a zoom...)

I probably should have submitted this much sooner, but I've been rather busy in that area.
I did this for Paula ~dusktea and Krista ~InvinsibleSarcasm, the fawnlock innovators, haha, I love this fandom to pieces (and there is so much fanart now, oh my lord), I really need to do more myself.

Also this was my first real attempt at a background and it took forever (greatly inspired by Krista's picture , the whole cabin thing works really well with the concept)

THREE DAYS IN THE MAKING AND NOW THIS BABY IS FINAL;U COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus... This thing was a monster! And to think that it all started because I couldn't find enough Ghibli fan videos on YouTube... that being - couldn't find any at all! Ah... c'est sad.

SO - YEARS after this meme started, I finally worked my lazy bones into completing one!

For those who don't know - this is a parody of the famous Durarara ending "Trust me" (where all the characters were linked in such a fashion as to create one awesome tower of awesomeness) featuring Studio Ghibli characters - more specifically characters from Studio Ghibli movies directed by Miyazaki (because were they any more characters in here I know I would have passed out ten more times more then I already have).

And so we have, in an almost chronological order, the following:

Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986) - featuring Sheeta and Pazu
My Neighbor Totoro (1988) - featuring Satsuki, Mei, Totoro and ... dirt spirits
Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) - featuring Kiki
Porco Rosso (1992) - featuring Porco Rosso
Spirited Away (2001) featuring Chihiro and Haku- (switched places with: )
Princess Mononoke (1997) - feauturing Ashitaka, Sen and tree spirits
Howl's Moving Castle (2004) - featuring Howl and Sophie (how I love 'em) and last but not least
Ponyo (2008) - featuring Ponyo, her papa Fujimoto and some of her sisters

!ALTHOUGH the 1984 film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is often considered a Studio Ghibli film, it was produced and released before the 1985 founding of the studio. So that is why we have no Nausicaä.

And so here we have it! The whole crew (more or less). The hardest ones for me to get right were most certainly Pazu and Satsuki - donno why! - and Fujimoto was the one I had most fun with I just love his design! And I still can't believed I survived after a pen encounter with Howl's flamboyant clothes...

And if some things things seem familiar while looking at them, I will add only this: ... I HAVE NEVER USED SO MUCH CHARACTER REFERENCES IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!

Since drawing men isn't as easy for me as drawing women, it took me some fighting and very foul language before I finally managed to get these boys on paper. *___*
Makes me proud, especially since he liked the result himself too.
