Actually something I did to put on my tumblr but tumblr has this thing where they don't accept things that are too cyan and/or saturated, so here's the original version on dA.
Done in watercolour, and the effects are done with AfterEffects and put together with photoshop.
I did something like this before, but I didn't like the way it looked, so I wanted to do another one for my daily sketchbook project .

cave Glutton... large carnivorous cave dwelling amphibian. closely related toads. it gets it's name threw a characteristic that many toads have. uncontrollable appetite. like some amphibians/reptiles they do poses the ability too rapidly extend there tongue, relevant to there body length. a 12ft adult can launch his tongue upwards of 25ft. inside the tongue is a rather hard bone spike that they impale there victims with. they have no eyes and it is believed that they poses a highly advanced form of echo location and smell. there feet are even hard wired to pick up even the smallest of movements. threat level. hard to say, most of the time they(despite there appetite) are rather harmless giants. the southern territories use them as war mounts and thus are trained to fight. some of these mounts are released back into the wild when they start to grow older and they take there hostility with them.

in the southern territories they are known as Grigols witch means glutton

Watching Natsume Yuujinchou these few days has reminded me of my own sad and lonely childhood. But of course, I've grown so much over the years. Sometimes I wish I could meet my younger self and tell her to smile more, because a bright future full people who love her is in store for her

And for those who would care to read, this is my story. It's long but rather entertaining, if I may say so myself.

I was born in China in 1993. In order to support me, my parents left for another city to work shortly after my birth. I was placed in the care of my grandparents. I was a happy kid, and never felt the absence of my parents until I got teased by the kids in kindergarten. My grandfather would always tell me that I did have parents, and that they left because I was not a good child...if I behaved well enough, they would return.

When I was 5, my mother suddenly arrived to take me to Singapore. To me, it was as if I had followed a complete stranger to a foreign land. I couldn't speak a word of English, and the kids at kindergarten made fun of my very different mannerisms and accented Chinese. My parents worked late and took several jobs each to make ends meet, and were constantly stressed and foul-tempered then. Our family stayed in a small room that we rented and I was constantly alone in a strange new place. I had no friends, was terribly afraid of my unfamiliar parents, and I often cried by myself, wishing that I could return to China. My teachers found me tiresome because I couldn't understand their English and was always so timid and silent.

Things got better as I grew up, but suddenly plunged when I turned 9. My little sister was born, and for a while I was ecstatic, because I thought I wouldn't be lonely anymore. For that period of time, I was almost completely ignored. They often gave her affectionate hugs and kisses, read stories to her, bought her anything she wanted, never yelled at her or beat her...all of which I never had. To a child, seemed that my parents treated me differenty from my sister because I was not raised by them.

And it was during that time(possibly because of the pent up stress of my childhood), I began to feel nauseous everyday in school. It was rather severe, and I had to be sent to the school nurse everyday, sometimes a few times a day. It got so bad that I could barely function normally with this constant nausea plaguing me. My parents began to worry that I had a severe health problem, and my very few friends thought that I was weird and left me. It only got worse, and it was not long before I began to feel constantly dizzy, extremely nervous and always had difficulty breathing. I began to hear voices in my head, and would randomly run out of my classes to hide somewhere in the school compound because I was so afraid. I was teased and avoided in school like I had a disease, which made things many times worse. I couldn't go to school for a while, and my parents took leave from work almost everyday to bring me to different doctors. One of them eventually discovered that it was a severe case of anxiety disorder, and I was sent for so many therapies (by negligent doctors, may I add) and given so much medication that my condition steadily got worse. My school grades slipped drastically and my family could hardly sleep at night. When I felt sick, I cried to myself and wished I had never been born. Still a little kid then, I blamed every higher power out there for the way things were. I wondered why my family and I had to suffer so much, and I desperately wished I friends to confide in.

When I was 11, my father took a step which changed my life. Frustrated at the way no medication or treatment was working, he told my doctors to cut them off completely. He has always been very wise, and knew that this was not a problem which medical science could resolve - I had to overcome my demons myself. We began to seek psychological help, and I came to know God through a few very kind teachers (whom I would never forget, to this day). Little by little, my family helped me get well again, and my relationship with them improved a lot when we forgave each other for past grievances. When I turned 13 and went to secondary school, I was almost perfectly happy again and began to learn for the first time in my life how to make friends. I met great people whom I owe the world to, and I joined the netball team, something I would never have dreamed of doing as a child (considering how sickly and weak I was).

I thought that the worst was completely over, but I suffered a relapse when I was 15. Like how relapses work, my condition was worse than it was before, partly because I was so shocked and disappointed in life. I was depressed and quit my sports team, and became very much like who I was as a child. Fortunately, by then I had met friends who wouldn't leave me even if the world ended, and they guided me through those dark times. Unlike my childhood days, I had people to comfort me, yell at me when I felt like giving up, and cry with me when I was sad. Of course there were idiots at school who still made fun of this, but incredibly, my friends stuck with me throughout. They must have gotten a shitload of bullying as well, but they never stopped defending me. I got better faster, and realized that I had never accomplished anything in my life because I was always held back by this problem of mine. I took a look at my failing grades and to be honest, I was doing so badly that I was about to be retained for a year. While still struggling with my anxiety issue, I made a resolution and worked harder than I had ever done in my life.

Of course it was extremely difficult at first, but slowly, I caught up. By a pure miracle, by the time I took my O levels (a Singapore National Exam), I not only topped my school, but came in 2nd nationwide. I went on to one of the best junior colleges in my country and got rid of my problem (finally). With my newfound confidence, I became more extroverted and made so many friends that I can barely believe it, even now. I am surrounded by people who love me and whom I love, and I really don't know how to put my gratitude into words.

Phew, that was really long. Thanks for sticking with me throughout this story! Of course I can't go back to tell my younger self to be braver, however much I wish to. I just wished I had known what was to come, so that I could have smiled more and worried less. But I can tell those who are currently struggling with your own demons - it won't be like this forever! A door will always open for the door which is closed - don't be too blinded by your misery to see it When you look back at your difficult times, you'll be able to laugh at it and thank God for your many blessings. After all, if you had not been through dark times, how would you know what happiness feels like?

When I read up on Dali's biography about drawing inspiration from the subconscious mind, I thought I'd do an illustration of it. This is what I came up with. His paranoiac-critical method was fascinating to read about. I really can't say that I've understood it all... but whatever seems absurd provokes me to doodle and sketch the images that goes through my mind and then I settle with whatever I have.

I was away for about a week but I didn't come back without a little souvenir of sorts!

I've been meaning to draw Okami fan art for a while and I'm glad I held off for as long as I did! I came up with a scene of her fighting Orochi.

Title: For the most part, I was listening to my "Clubbin'" playlist and "Let it Rock" by Kevin Rudolph (feat. Lil Wayne) stood out to me as a good song to dedicate to Okami based on some keywords and the confident tone of the lyrics.

Materials: Mechanical pencil and clicky eraser, 8.5"x11" printer paper, Papermate felt-tip pens, Sharpie, Prismacolor and Crayola pencils, Prismacolor markers.

Time: One evening to sketch, two evenings to outline and color = approx 12 hours straight

Random Fact:
I actually really don't care for Lady Gaga. I can't stand her voice and her overly repetitive lyrics wear on my nerves very quickly. Thanks to *Kuresin, however, I found an amazing cover of this song sung by Halestorm. <3 My faith in modern music has been restored.

I really don't like her face now after seeing this later, lol. ;A; I should have just honestly taken a break and gotten back to it later instead of trying to rush it all in one night. I think I like the lineart much better then my colors. OTL I mean, I don't HATE them or anything, but I feel like I got really sloppy and started cutting too many corners...}

After deciding between a few choices, I went with the sparkly background. For her eyes I was thinking of those nature movies that show jackals or hyenas feeding at night, eyes caught spookily in the lights from the cameras.

Why? The whole thing started when my buddy Joe sent me this, as featured on regretsy.com ([link]).

While I missed the actual commission deadline, I still wanted to make the piece. I want to send some caricatures to MAD Magazine sometime soon, and this one seemed as good as any to do for that. I really like Lady Gaga ("Bad Romance" is surprisingly addictive) for her show(wo)manship an the vivid spectacle she offers. One has the idea that she has the biggest creative hand in it all (as opposed to some producer/record label churning out more shiny dreck). So I present this imagined portrait with all due respect.

Because I wanna be in The Haus...

Lady GaGa is one of my favorite musical artists right now, so I've mused about designing costumes for her... so I did.

From Left To Right in accordance to song from Lady GaGa's album, "The Fame":

1. Just Dance-- Meant to emulate an outfit she wore in the actual video, as well as the look she had when she debuted with this fun party anthem.
2. LoveGame-- Inspired by the segment of the LoveGame video where GaGa rocks a police hat and pants and not much else.
3. Paparazzi-- Once again, inspired by the actual video, but tweaked slightly to reflect my view and feeling of the song.
4. Poker Face-- Playing with GaGa's first look, I take the title literally with these patterned leggings. Classic GaGa.
5. Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)-- Inspired by the video, but more inspired by color and love and general bubbliness, right down to her multicolored lipstick. n.n
6. Beautiful Dirty Rich-- Red and Gold. Avarice. Opulence. That's what inspired this look.
7. The Fame-- Just my adaptation of what the song 'looks' like to me. Originally, it was going to be white, but since I use white in other places, I decided to go for a flirty black party dress.
8. Money Honey-- Inspired by Dallas and big 80's shoulder pads and power suits. Fishnets and thigh high boots. Funky and strangely sophisticated. Her teacup is famous. <3
9. Starstruck-- Futuristic, funky, colorful. Wanted her to look like a human peacock.
10. Boys Boys Boys-- Total 80's/90's chick. Acid wash oversized denim jacket. Cherry-print catsuit with ~fashionable~ pink fanny pack and pretty pink heals. Hairspray and denim. Boys, boys, boys.
11. Paper Gangsta-- All black, total mafioso diva. Don't do no monkey business, not interested in fakers.
12. Brown Eyes-- A GaGa ballad moment, for which she breaks out her infamous bubble outfit.
13. I Like It Rough-- GaGa in the boudoir. Sassy and sensual.
14. Summerboy-- Discolicious GaGa, flowy hair, blousy top. Loosey-Goosey. Her martini glistens while she checks out other guys. n__~
15. Vanity-- GaGa on acid. LCD cotour dream. Nothing's wrong with being just a little bit vain.
16. Shake Ur Kitty-- Party-time with GaGa, as always. When you see a girl that's pretty, shake-a, shake-a, shake that kitty.

TECH: Red top in 6, Shoes in 7 and 13, Bodice in 13, 15, and 7 are all edited from works by Kali Wolfchilde. Everything else, to my knowledge, is TSFR exclusive. No touchin', muffins. <3

Kinda speedpaint, i just had some crazy ideas for outfits that included a monster skull :'D this is one of my tame ideas. If i fail at being a photographer can i design clothes for Gaga please??

At the moment im currently trying to make this outfit for a gaga style photoshoot, its crazy to think the hair is actually the easiest part. I think i will have to make the jaw larger than how it is viewed here as her arms are covering most of it and i dont want the model to flash any bits lol
