Been a while since I did a single-sitting color job. But this one came together quite quicker than I thought it would, and all the while, with a good amount of ease. And to think, I was even able to complete this one WHILE Heavy Metal was playing on my other computer screen.

So, to anticipate the upcoming project, I've decided to familiarize myself with her style and experimented with ways to implement my color techniques with her gestural lines. I like how it turned out, and it's been a while since I did a real dark color work.

Selina Kyle, in a less familiar form. You probably don't recognize her without her latex suit, her mask, or battling Batman while perpetrating grand theft. But way more recognizable than how Halle Barry played her. For your viewing pleasure, Cat Woman. The off hours.

Well, watching all the awesome parts of Cool World now. If you haven't seen the lowest part of Brad Pitt's career, the scene when he goes back to reality while yelling a cheesy "nooooooo!!!" you'll never again be able to watch Fight Club without bursting out laughing.

So this afternoon, ~Poopgoblyn and I hiked from the wilderness park at the end of Victory all the way to Calabasas. It was kind of an accident. We thought the trail went in a loop, and as we went over a hill and spotted the electrical lines that ran along Los Virgines Road, we knew we'd gone a bit too far in a single direction, and needed to turn back if we wanted to get back before sundown.

We trekked back in good pace, and I was able to hold myself up the whole time...until I set foot in my car. Something jostled, unraveled, and my butt got so excited getting placed on a cushy carseat it popped my calves. So I'm walking with a bit of a limp, and was stuck at home tonight.

So, when I'm usually confined to my room, and have a wide open schedule, nothing comforts me better than finding a beautiful set of lines. This is the first time I've done a piece for *muju, and I really love the detailing and flow of all the images in that gallery. I highly recommend you all check it out! Compliments of the #color-me-club, I give you guys a very beautiful, full-body rendition of a very unique interpretation of Samus Aran from Metroid.

She's the original Nintendo tomboy. It wasn't even revealed that Samus was female until the very very end of the first game. It's one of the biggest twists in video game history. But quite a milestone.

Always been a favorite of mine. And since it's not in her character to have a revealing outfit, this one fits so well because it's either gotta be a full-body bulky tank with shoulderpads or nothing at all.

I really like how this one gives the suit kind of a sinister look. I pushed for the suit to have a monstrous quality to it, as the very thing that protects her and becomes her greatest asset has the tendency to become her own worst enemy too.
