OF COURSE. Of course, I had to do it. Had to fashionize the new all female X-men roster. I wanted them more badass and street than previous X-fashions which have tended toward glitz and glam. There's a slight 80s feel to the whole piece which sort of came out of nowhere. I blame the color blocking of the background which, for some reason, to me screams 80s. There's a fuller description on my tumblr. I really enjoy the feedback on DA so don't be a stranger danger.

X-fashions are back! Hope you get a kick out of my interpretation of X-23. For her I thought sleek. Dolce and Gabbana meets S&M? Her shoulders are adorned with tiny scorpions, though they are very hard to make out. Her steel toe boots are a nod to her hidden little foot cutter. Happiest with: hair and makeup.

The X-fashions continue and this time we got some mens doing the heavy lifting. Chamber was one of my favorites in the Generation X series for being angsty, brooding, and sexy. Who doesn't love a hot mouth? I had a lot of fun going for a Mugler-esque kind of raunch with his design. And some wrapped chiffon around the neck for his psionic energy.

I had so much fun completing this piece (right during the homestretch week before APE.)
This piece debuted at APE and I couldn't be happier with how it came out and the reception of it. If you can't tell, there's a soft spot in my heart for Mars and Jupiter. You can view a fuller, plumper, juicier description at my tumblr.

As you may or may not have read at CBR (here>[link]) I'm taking art duties in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: City Fall", the next seven-part event story starting with issue #22 of the IDW's TMNT ongoing series.

So here is the first cover.

Written by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz and drawn by me, "City Fall" will focus on the Shredder's takeover of New York City's underworld with a new major domo at his side: Leonardo. As the Turtles' family breaks apart, the series will introduce a number of new and classic characters to the proceedings including some as-yet secret mutants and Purple Dragon leader The Hun.
