I started on this image after looking at an article in an old National Geographic Magazine (June 2001) about Asiatic Lions. Its a subspecies of lion that historically used to occupy a range stretching from Greece all the way to India. Current range, Gir Forest. Population approximately 350. To make 350 seem less like just a statistical number, imagine the world, dead of people except for your school (Of course, some schools will be larger than others...). Their genetics is in the same plight as cheetahs (Very low genetic variation). That means that it'll be a school of virtually identical twins.

On the image alone though, I'm afraid the scene doesn't look Asiatic, so I can't really claim that they are anymore. Critique/Advice appreciated on shadow dropped by tree, hands (foreground lion especially), foreshortening, background(perspective), composition, color balance and on how to color a ground (sic).

And a public thank you to for her clouds tutorial. Didn't use the smudge tool though.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have commented or faved (or even looked at) an my humble little doodles even if I might not be able to thank, reply (or unable to reply with anything especially thoughtful or significant) to all, try as I might. Also to thank are all the other artists and writers here who draw, write and upload with me, who inspire and be inspired, the people who support us, as well as the admins who watch over us. I thought saying it here would reach better than a journal.

Asura and her best friend, the yellow parrot. The yellow parrot is very talkative. he likes to talk about rocks, fish, the weather, styrofoam; he just likes to talk, and talk, and talk, and sometimes sleep, and then talk more. Because parrots do that. Parrots also bite their feet periodically, and i dont know why. But here, Asura and the yellow parrot enjoy a day in the shallows, listening to shells and parrot-garble.

tools: card stock, 0.7 mechanical pencil (doesnt bite it's own feet), bic pen, adobe, open canvas, 4 hours of sleep, and a banana spider named gwenyth. aaaaaaaaaand the characters belong to me.

Roffles... If you don't get the last part of the title - its because ! and ? are no allowed for titles. Which makes sense for anyone who has done any kinda data entry for a database on a site...

Gender bending has recently become more fun for me to draw for whatever reason. Any excuse to draw move boobs. "Et Tu Brute?" it latin for "And you Brutus?" or something to that effect- here it more or less means Flora feels betrayed by Trace (or Tracy? roffles) since as a girl... her breasts are bigger...

I dont think ive ever had any real breast grabbing in any of my pictures before... its interesting XD

I need to practice with Illustrator- so i sketched a picture of Hinata - it didnt look like this at first - It was just normal Hinata... cute normal hinata-- not -- Hinata in leather and a whip O_o

While playing around in Illustrator i liked how smooth the vectors were-- and so i drew her holding a rope-- that turned into a whip-- and so i changed the outfit to match-- before i knew it I became confused-- perhaps that comic i drew has changed my perspective on hinata...

Im marking this mature just so random people without accounts dont see it >_>

This is not going to be a normal thing - Illustrator is just a cool little program-- gotta learn how those mesh things work-- i need a bunch of tutorials for Illustrator...

Done in Illustrator CS2 - Some coloring and such was done in Photoshop CS2
Total Time about 30 minutes

Been a long time since i updated-- but not since ive drawn. Im still doing the comic-- havent missed an update-- sometimes it looks good sometimes it doesnt-- always improving though...

Anywho-- this was all done basically to prove to Tom that hes a great artist and its not the program that makes his line art so smooth... unlike mine-- which is hardly smooth-- also i would like to mention that coloring in Sketchbook Pro is a pain-- but fun-- yess-- it hurts so good -- ok thats creepy-- anywho-- it takes a long time but like traditional drawing and painting-- you have a lot more control and all the details are done by hand... and my hand hurts-- and theres not that much detail! grr...

Hah, I couldn't stand the flatness of the Tigress Reference Sheet drawing and decided to finalize it some more. Quickly done, probably in about 90 minutes. Painter IX + mouse.

Not sure how long it took- after all-- i did keep jumping on Forums and Chats while coloring and drawing it-- yeah bad habit--- anywho- Vanilla is Ronald MacKinnon's Catgirl -- from the really cool comic Plugged Nickel [link] his DA account is - -- and of course the purple haired catgirl is Kate... but you all knew that... because ive been drawing her for over 10 years now...
On a side note- Bigger isnt always better-- Kate may be a C cup - almost D-- and Vanilla is a 34DD as Ron keeps telling me <_< - But Kate is perfectly content with the size of her breasts- unlike Flora- O_o [link] << that flora ^^ (woot 2 of my favorite comics in one Description!)

This is my character Neko (I named her when I was 10, back then it wasnt that common of a name for -- well just about anyone who didnt speak Japanese)- She, Sage and Kate were all made 10 years ago (almost 11 now) - I hadnt done any really good art with Neko or Sage in a while but i finally got around to doing one of Neko- obviously

Well -- pretty simple -- i needed more art of my characters and well i liked the last one so yay! more of practically the same thing >_<

took forever to color -- why - its such simply crummy coloring! >_< well i wasnt exactly focused on the coloring -- old movies on TV and all...

oh well i hope someone likes it!
