This is gift art for one of my biggest inspirations her art is amazing and inspires me everyday. A couple months ago her friend Kruger passed away and I thought I'd give drawing him a shot for her as a type of memorial picture. my scanner made it a little darker than it is, the colors a little lighter on paper. >< hope it looks okay!

Hey! I'm very sorry I'm so dead at the moment, I've just been so darn busy! (This is an example...Only time I had to upload this was at 5:30 in the morning ) I hope to get back in the groove soon!
Anyhow, this was on Valentine's Day at Disneyland. We had friends from Minnesota visiting so we went! It wasn't very crowded and the weather was perfect. Not too bad!
My date was Mickey until I ran into this guy right before we had lunch...His name is Danny and he pulls the cars on Main Street SUCH a pretty boy, very young too, it looks like he just finished training.
I suppose that this picture is proof that I'm still here and a little update of what I've been doing lately. I have to get ready for school now.

... a.k.a dog breeds.

A good bunch of all existing dog breeds wouldn't be able to survive without man thanks to all their anomalies and genetic disorders as a result from incest for the sake of "pure breeding" (heck, some of those (like the English Bulldog) aren't even able to reproduce or give birth to their litters without help anymore. The thought alone is just disgraceful.)

Inspired by a pug that came across my way some time ago. It was rattling like crazy, a pity to look at. The owner's reaction? "OMG, Willy, usocute!"

God, why do they have to produce even more complete overbred cripples. I can't stand most dog breeds (or dogs in general) and seeing how batshit crazy people went with dog breeding doesn't make it any better (and WHY do you even have to continue this bullshit with cats, too? At first we only had these ugly persians and hideous hairless sphynx cats, now there are those so called munchkins and kangaroo cats. Just...don't. We fucked up the dogs and gold fishes already. And as always, it is the animals who suffer. For what. For "beauty"?)

If you happen to own a breed on the list above, please don't feel offended by that. I know that this could be a very delicate topic and i respect your opinions whatever these may be. Same goes for my opinions, though. And these would be: Health first. Then character. And THEN you can think of outer appearance (also: No. I'm not lumping all breeders of the world together here. There is more than black and white. Fact is, though, that some actually went way too far with pure breeding and standards as so many pitiful canine individuals show everyday.)

Speaking of the German Sherpherd:
The critter satirised here is the showdog version with that total overbred slanting butt/back. The working dog versions at least do have some normal anatomy...

Dog breeds had a purpose at one point in time and i'm totally fine with that. It's the show dogs i despise and where everything went overboard.

A lot of text in this one, but I could not resist narrating it. It's a story about how humanity transformed a large predator into a doll in a few thousand years. Most of the changes actually happened just during the 20th century.

Many dog breeds have serious health problems that are caused not only by inbreeding but also because with such a distorted anatomy, it's simply impossible to produce a healthy animal. I think we have no right to cause such pain just for our own aesthetic pleasure, however lovely pets they might make.

I produced a series of these dog breed skulls for an article I wrote about the genetics of dog and fox domestication.

Creative title, I know.

I found this while rooting around updating my printed portfolio. It was part of my portfolio tag when I applied for art scholarships (there was text on the side all fancy 'n stuff). I used this one in 2010.

One of those late night crash inspirations. Done with prismacolor markers. I...don't remember if I even sketched this before I started with the markers, I just remember doing it crazy fast, then realizing it was 3 am and I needed to go to bed. Then in the morning I woke up and had a 'did I...make this? last night?' moment. It was weird. That doesn't happen to me very often. (I wish it did though)

This is my first serious digital piece thats not cartoony. I started doing this random wolf, and after I did the eye, I looked at it and realized I could make it Haku for .

Ages ago, I asked her what character she would like some gift-art of, and she was in the mood for Haku. Since then, I totally forgot and all that good stuff. Recently, we went through some stuff together and she deserves some art, so I decided to revisit the idea. I sucked at everything I tried for some awful reason. Then this came about on accident.

I have no idea what Im doing with this, but Im pretending I do.

A few weeks ago I created a stamp talking about how writers arr working when staring out the window.

I got such incredible feedback from people saying that it also applied to other types of artists, as well as dozens of requests that I should make a general use version of the stamp. So, here it is!

I did change up the colors a bit so it wasn't a direct copy of the last one. But I loved the previous design so much, I didn't want to change it much. I hope everyone likes it.

So Sao's been thinking about doing a little comic series about the adventures at the Madhouse, her new(ish) living conditions.

Basically it would just be silly little things of all the nutty stuff that goes on in here, because really the name suits like you wouldn't believe.

Anyway, wanted to work on a somewhat more simplified style to apply to things like that so that they'd be less work intensive and then they might actually happen, and this is the first such style adaptation I've actually liked! I kind of think of it as "Adventure Time meets Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt," since those were the two really driving influences on it.

THIS CHARACTER is adorable. Like seriously.

I had some trouble with the white area because my W1 copic had the cap left off (why I don't let ANYONE other than Jessica and Emma use them anymore) so it died. I then accidentally switched the caps of my W3 and W5. So thinking I was using W3, I was really using W5. Fail. I noticed pretty fast, but not after making noticable marks.

And that collar is very wonky, I apologize >>
