Flying Silhouettes

A shot from my trip to Iceland of some birds flying around a mountain they were perched on. We drove to the northwestern section of the island and tried to get as far north as possible. The road was a tiny gravel road that went up and down cliffs right on the edge of the water, and at times seemed as if it was hardly passable. We made it almost to 66 degrees north before we decided it was best to turn around.

Effect achieved with a Levels Adjustment.

Camera: Canon Digital Rebel XT (EOS 350D)
Lens: EF-S 55-250mm at 229mm
Shutter Speed: 1/160
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 100
Filters(s): None
Processing: Raw Conversion, Levels adjustment, selective dodging and burning.

This is actually quite an old one - from 2008, when I visited Canada - that I've never got around to editing 'til now.

Not my best, but I like the almost architectural, structural lines of the hillside and the range of blue and green tones.

Basically it's all different words that have to do with my theme arranged to make a music note this is my first time ever doing this so I'm pretty happy with this .

God's Sunflower Sky

Sunflowers....quite a field I have to say, shot with my partners in crime *daskibum and *Glitch-Chaos outside of Longmont, Colorado...and sometimes things just all come together. Thankfully the slight breeze decided to calm for a second letting me take this almost 1 second exposure. Have to love the late evening thunderstorm in Colorado! If you look close, you will see the rain falling over the Rockies
