'Artificer' is a geometric seriff typeface
that is loosely based on Cassandres 'Bifur'.
Both uppercase / lowercase letterforms.

Havn't quite turned it into a font yet
but planning to once i've got less weight on my shoulders.
The typeface best resembles my identity
as it conveys the stylistic elements I use in my pieces.

Night Version

This image was inspired by a free Breadley Manning protest I participated in. We were a small group of about 20-30 peaceful protesters met by an overkill of riot police. We dissipated peacefully to avoid arrest but the image of facing against a roll of riot police remained in my mind.

For those not familiar with Bradley Manning, he was the one who leaked the Collateral Murder video to Wikileaks. The video details the slaughter of innocent Iraqi civilians and journalists by American soldiers. Amongst the injured were 2 children whose father was killed. When the journalists' families asked about how they were killed, they were lied to. For revealing the true casualties of war, Manning was put into solitary confinement and tortured without trial. This is my concept to the final of Dominantse War.

Nevilos is the God roaming the vast spaces of Universe and looking for uninhabited or deserted worlds to populate them. His target is to create new, unseen lifeforms and species, that can evolve and develop.

When the World after years of War had fallen into disrepair and neglect, and it seemed, there isn't any hope, he came. We, all, are the nervous system of Universe. Living creatures are its sense organs. New forms of Life are new shoots, new manifestations of the Universe. Nevilos, like a caring farmer, cultivates a new life on planets, where it was burned out by the War or even never originated before...

Lily Fontai project for Fontai is nearing it's end. We've finished 100 pieces of three color silkscreen prints for the client (35x100cm, about 14"x40"), finished the logo and we're working on the last thing - microsite dedicated to Lily prints.

The whole Lily project is quite personal, for both us and the client. Signed posters are going to be used as gifts for some of Fontai's clients and friends. Lily herself is created as kind of an avatar, "AI" of Fontai. That's also why is her logotype placed into bubble / ear shape, she's the one who speaks and listenes.

Pictures taken by Dan Friedlaender (Visualscream), additional help with Lily's body design provided by Svetlana Kozhenova.

I respect the way each one has "to help", so let's avoid the religious drama and be straight to the point.

In my opinion, praying for Japan is just useless. And I'm christian. Praying helps and aids people... but no matter how much we all try, we cannot rebuild a house with prayers.

So, stop praying and do something useful. Or do both.

Donate directly to Japan's red cross, send medical supplies, find legitimate charities, donate via text message, donate through itunes, donate on facebook, donate your airline miles, spread the word, add donation links on your websites, etc.

GO JAPAN. My heart is with you.
