A new character from the story I will eventually write (someday)..

Leslie Andrew Thornton, even though he prefers "Andy", is Will's best friend, and, as his friend, he doesn't really take life seriously. He is the son of a lord and thus he doesn't ever have to work (someone has to spend all these money in the family after all). He's a cool kind of guy who has a philosophy about everything. His only obligation to the family is to find a rich bride, although his father would prefere him to be a polititian, which, as a plan, Andy finds incredebly boring.

Here's a quick model i did... well it was supposed to be fast...¬¬... but ... ended up being like.. 10hrs.

Well the story behind it is... i'm a big fan of Bobby Chiu and since he did the micro elephant concept... i reallly loved it hahaha, it's so awesome.. actually the whole "mini" series he did, but... the elephant is... THE ELEPHANT haha. Here's the link to Bobby's concept if you haven't seen it [link]

The model and the hair were done over at Zbrush and so were the textures, and.. as usual 3ds max and Vray for rendering and materials, the composition was done on Photoshop.

If you wonder what the text says... it's a fragment of a "poem" i found but... didn't find who the author was so... if you know who he is i would appreciate it. It's in spanish it says something like:

It's small things
Those that people use to ignore
Those that use to abandon
At the end, the ones that you miss the most
You most adore

And so... at the end of everything
The only thing that's worth

Here's the spanish one:

Son las pequeñas cosas
Esas que la gente ignora
Esas que se abandonan
Las que al final más extrañas
Más adoras.

Es pues al final de todo
Lo único que vale la pena.

As i said it's just a fragment and... i might be wrong on the translation so.. any corrections are welcome, and so are the comments, cheers!! hope you like it

Well, Morgan's gone and done something heroic (or at least very desperate). He was severely injured and fell into a coma, which has lasted several days now. It took the kindness of many people, including young Anna here, to bring him back from the edge of death, and it's still a constant struggle to keep him breathing. There is hope, but he's not...(yes, I'm going to say it) out of the woods yet.

This is the first time I've officially drawn Anna, I think. She's flesh and blood, but Morgan's perception of reality is vague at best, which is why she seems ethereal and dream-like here. I wanted the image to transition from color to pencil to suggest Morgan's life draining away.

I was preparing this drawing for a long time and I could never manage to finish it. It's a winter scene of a family squirrel, in which the father squirrel goes to kindle the lantern outside their house and the little squirrel calls him because the meal is ready. It's the first snow of the winter and all the animals of the forest search a warm place. The only sound outside is the sound of the snow.

As promised, here is the illustration I made for my Illustration Workshop class. This was our first project, meant to be used as a postcard for self-promotion. We had to select from two themes; restaurant and treasure hunting. I chose the latter and did an illustration depicting the lovely story by Edgar Allen Poe, The Golden Bug (yes, it happens to be a treasure hunting story.)
