Just don't ask me- Seriously, don't. His sense of fashion is the weirdest among all my OCs. He just wears things that he finds to be good for him.
Anyway; as he spends most of time in deserts of Zhemetis, so the outfit is a kind of tipped hat to local heat. A scarf that protects from sand during sandstorms and simply wind; shoe-like thingies that do not crisp with every movement and let him run around freely... Claw and belt remain from his normal outfit.
Also his usual choice of colors - whites'n'blacks, some browns and a flick of red. And symmetry.

Don't mind me. This was terribly rushed due to IRL stress and stuff, so it didn't turn out quite like I wanted. When Trudie first had memory, she was already on the road, learning to perform from a troupe of traveling performers. In truth, she was abandoned by birth on the road to Ceythr, which she was then picked up by Neil, another Leiian, who was leading his band of performers on their way to the said village. Ever since then, Trudie had stayed within the group, traveling and came to love performing; she sees dance as a way to express emotions, and singing as a way to calm people's hearts. She never felt like she needed to go to school like other children, nor did she desire to do so; because the world had been a kind place to her, at least when her performing "family" was with her.

However, things didn't go well when the group was trying to cross the land by sea...the weather changed abruptly and the ship lost its direction as it swirled itself right into the open storm. The ship's wreckage was found several days later, and none was assumed to have survived...but she did.

When Trudie opened her eyes again, she was on strange shores...but that didn't matter. To her, the most important thing was to find her family again, even if she's going to do it all alone.

... XD a random idea I had. Finally I have two characters who actually like to read--one who uses it as an escape and the other who uses it as a bragging right. The idea was to serve as a birthday present for . It instead blew out of proportion and may as well be a birthday present for everyone who has a character here.

Anyway as obviously stated this is yet another group thing with the Order of Veyerus, a gang of bad guys (if you couldn't guess) who I seem to be endlessly fascinated with. Fighting Style: Xiaomei is primarily a mage. She tends to stay back and let others do the heavy lifting for her while she simply aids with a little empowering and offensive magic here and there. While her strength isn't the highest, she is in fact quite a capable hand to hand fighter, having considerable experience in several schools of martial arts. So if an enemy breaks through the front lines, it is not an issue to cast empowering magic on herself and then engage the enemy long enough to allow the front lines to get back to doing their jobs. Regardless, she would prefer to keep her hands clean of heavy combat and allow the battle freaks to handle killing each other as they always have.

Valkyrie Veil - MP Cost: 30 - Power: - Offensive Magic. A phantom armor is summoned to bear down into the opponent with a blade of sundering holy light. Useful for targeting single foes. Takes very little time to cast, and thus, can be used in conjunction with melee attacks.

Radiant Gate - MP Cost: 60 - Power: - Offensive Magic. A phantom gate is summoned, which expels a myriad of sundering holy rays upon a wide area. Useful for targeting a large group of foes. Takes a good bit of time to cast, thus, she needs to be covered by front line fighters.

Tide Barrier - MP Cost: 20 - Power: - Defensive and Offensive Magic. Creates a barrier of compressed water around the target, which can dissipate or deflect most attacks. Focused piercing attacks or intense flames can collapse the barrier however. It CAN potentially be used as an offensive tool by casting it on an opponent and then making it contract to crushing levels.

Slyphen Wing - MP Cost: 20 - Power: - Utility Magic. Grants the target the power of flight for a period of about 10 minutes. Speed can be upwards to about 60 kph if the one granted power focuses. The spell CAN run out in mid-air, potentially causing very unfortunate drops. This spell tends to be cast only on herself for that reason as she can best gauge how much time she has.

Azure Devastation - MP Cost: 40 - Power: - Offensive Magic. Causes pillars of ice to burst upwards under targets. The spell's range can be adjusted between single and multiple targets. Time taken to cast depends on size of range.

Likes: all manner of mechanical devices, metallic materials, vast research notes, people's reactions to her pushing buttons, Leiians in general

Dislikes: Being interrupted, Pennute's Council for separating her from her precious laboratory, being asked to commit inconsequential things to memory, wasting time on things she thinks doesn't matter...which is a lot.

Personality: Xiaomei is a fickle person. She does whatever she feels like, regardless of what her superiors or subordinates say. Usually though, this is because she can think of better ways to go about what has been ordered of her. After all, she knows her field of work better than those who demand that the work be done.

She can be quite passionate about technological research and it was primarily because of her contributions that the expedition's ships were ready in time that they were. While she can be polite, patient, and forthcoming to just about anyone, she also finds complete and utter amusement in pushing people's buttons. To her, their reactions tell more about who they are as people than their words ever do. It can also be said that she values research and technological advancements over the lives of people at the end of the day and in that same vein, seeks no real meaningful human interaction.

Xiaomei can also be quite kooky, coming up with insane ideas for inventions and the like for just about any sort of situation, such as a device that 'shows moving pictures' or a device that 'stores music to be played at a later date'. Needless to say, people tend to leave her alone when she get wrapped up into the latest crazy idea of the week. The results of her attempts at making such things realities can also be seen all throughout her lab in Pennute castle. Be wary of touching them. Some might blow up unexpectedly.

All in all, Xiaomei is kind and forthcoming enough, but also a bit loopy and unpredictable. Approach with a fair bit of caution.

History:

The details of Xiaomei's birth are a complete mystery. There are no records of her birth or childhood anywhere in Pennute's archives, nor Terhwa's or La'Hansi's. She merely showed up in Pennute about five years before the expedition effort began to kick off. While the Pennute royal court and it's nobles were initially distrustful of this strange woman, she quickly proved herself to be an asset to the kingdom, making simple improvements to their existing mechanisms with methods that they had somehow overlooked. Not wanting either Terhwa or La'Hansi to potentially snatch her up, Xiaomei was eventually brought onto the Pennute Technological research team where she would then take her place as chief technological researcher.

It was there that she would spend the next few years aiding Pennute in it's technological advancements. Once the talk of expeditions to other lands and fragments came up, she was immediately put to work along with an equally elite team of brilliant minds in order to conceptualize and create the ships that all three kingdoms would need to sail out into the vast ocean, and in due time they were indeed completed with much fanfare.

...But then came the night of that ball where the Order of Veyerus struck, damaging the ships that they had worked so hard on, unleashing Eldine upon the city, as well as stealing Pennute's fragment. Despite all of these unfortunate events, Xiaomei simply found herself shrugging and returning to work. After all, why waste time bemoaning what has happened? That was time better spent doing what needed to be done. Thus, with a head held higher than the rest of her peers, work began on the ships again, and in due time, they were completed yet again. With this, Xiaomei had deemed her work on this tiresome project to be done and withdrew back into her lab for more exciting research.

She would have her way for quite a bit of time. But then word arrived back in Pennute about the results of the current expedition team's exploits. How the fragment at Acs Beluge went out of control and how they needed to work with the Order of Veyerus in order to see the crisis through to it's end. Needless to say, the powers that be were not impressed with the performance of their current expedition leader. And so, it was decided that the third prince of Pennute would be called back to Pennute and someone else sent to take his place. Someone that would not fail to live up to their expectations. ...Much to Xiaomei's dismay, she was chosen to take on this new role. Having to be dragged out of her lab kicking and screaming, she was sent off to Acs Beluge as the third prince of Pennute returned...

Other Info:

- It is rumored that Xiaomei does not eat or sleep. She never ever shows up to breakfast, lunch, dinner, or social gatherings, and no one can claim to have seen her sleep. It has become something of an urban legend in Pennute castle now.

- Cannot stand having her hair down....because it gets in the way of her research of course.

- She almost never left the castle grounds until she was made the new expedition leader. And she likely would have remained in the castle unless that happened. Apparently she was quite content with what she had and was doing.

- She can not, for the life of her, remember people's names. Even if introduced to her multiple times, she will still end up forgetting five minutes later and referring to people as 'you', a horrible mangling of their name, or simply not saying names at all.

Personality:
Only one that could describe her: shy. Sherylann is incredibly nervous to meet someone---especially human. Her face will show redness and starting to stutter in front of the person. It also because of her foster mother’s stories, who’s a Leiian, she’s less scared to meet other Leiian than her own race.

When she feels secure and trust with the person, her way of talking will be more normal---though there’s still a bit tremble coming from her mouth. She also doesn’t really think much about complexity, she knows how to put them in a simple conclusion or decision. Although she’s indeed naive and gullible to understand outside world, she does have a high curiosity of what happened there. Quite intelligent and can handle things without any complain.

History:
Not much of her background could be told. Sherylann was abandoned deep inside of the forest when she’s still a baby. She was found by a Leiian who that time was searching for plants and decided took her in custody since this Leiian was the only residence in the woods. It revealed that the Leiian was a mage---specialize with earth element. This Leiian was infamous for not appearing her appearance as she dislikes to see any beings, especially humans, which was strange enough why she wanted to raise the human girl like her own daughter---even became her successor.

Seventeen years later, while Sherylann was wandering around to pick some herbs, she accidentally set a foot to a forbidden area where there’s a lot of monsters lurking around. That’s where Reyna. O. S. Elixyvett, one of Terhwa’s recruits, saved Sherylann from harm. Sherylann’s foster mother firstly didn’t accept Reyna as she dislikes another human beings appeared in her territory. However, after the daughter persuaded the female Leiian and seeing that Reyna kept the secret about the place, she decided to let off the recruit---though that she’s still disbelief with Reyna. From here too, their friendship were started and developing to be a sisterly relationship.

Few months later, Sherylann found out that Reyna has some issues regarding about her family business and the worst of all (according to Reyna) was a sudden engagement arranged by Reyna’s father. Couldn’t handle much of the pressure, Reyna was quietly resigned from her service in Terhwa and disappeared without trace, however, she left a letter for Sherylann---asking to replace her as a recruit. Sherylann then decided to fulfill Reyna’s request in spite she almost had a fight with her foster mother.

She now moved to Mirall as her temporary resident and sometimes would go back to her foster mother’s home.

- Usually wears a long veil in taking a walk everywhere.
- Knowledgeable about flora and botany.
- Good at memorizing outdoor roads. Ironically, she loses her sense of direction in the environmental facilities (ex: towns, cities, any place with many people inside).

Remember when I used to draw stuff? Yeah, me neither.

Well, Gwen needed some new clothes for the stay in Acs' Beluge. So, when it comes to female desert clothes... of course a huge Zelda nerd like myself would base them on Gerudo clothes ~~much to Gwen's chagrin~~. Plus, I promised I'd one day draw Gwen in something sexy. So this sort of counts. Maybe.

Also, yes I'm aware that there's some wonky anatomy ~~especially with the arms and legs, those puffy pants trolled me so hard~~, and lazy shading. Unfortunately, I still have one other piece to rush before the deadline, so I needed to finish this one up asap. Oh well... here's hoping I can get the other one finished in time.

And for those wondering why on earth Gwen would wear something like this in canon... as a healer, she naturally knows that she needs appropriate desert clothes to ensure she doesn't overheat. And unfortunately for her, she fell in love with how well the fabrics breathed. So, she tied her hair back and decided to suck it up rather than sweat it out! ~~Also I just like torturing her and this is a new way of doing so.~~

Pennute Official Continental Map

I had finished this about 2 weeks ago, but now decided to upload it. This is a long overdue present for , which I drew on 18"x24" paper with a pen, intended to be hung on a wall. I didn't want to rehash one of the previously done maps of Khivann so I instead opted for an old map feel, as if it was something engraved and printed for the period. To that end I put a lot more effort into the embellishments than the map itself, and it ended up looking quite nice as a result, barring a couple minor errors (traditional = no ctrl Z lulz).

MS Quest #2 - Hiding in Plain Sight

And here we have a collaboration between myself and the incredible for 's Quest 2.

With neither of the megane officers being particularly stealthy, Gwen and Eiros had to come up with another plan to stage an investigation of Senuv without it being known. The solution? Dye their hair, grab some disguises, start playing the only instruments they know how, and pretend to be a roving duo of musicians. In order to make the disguise more believable, one of them had to forgo their glasses, and Gwen drew the short straw on that one. So Eiros has the pleasure of leading around a half-blind harp player!

~~Before anyone asks, playing the harp calms Gwen. Hence why she doesn't look angry. So don't ask.~~

Lainey did the sketch, lines, and BG, while I did the colors and shading. Tried cell shading again due to a few time constraints not allowing me to experiment, between my dad's birthday weekend and having some dental surgery done.

Not super pleased with how the shading turned out, I was definitely off my game with this one. It was a new experience to try and work with one light source hitting two characters in totally different ways (not to mention shading profile view), so it could've been better. Just needs more practice I guess. I may go back and work on it a bit more later, but for now, racing the deadline so... yeah. In any event, thanks to Lainey not only for the hard work in this collab, but also for the support and stuff.

"Ironsap... I've never heard of them," she'd huffed upon receiving the orders, the flowers the only thing interesting her, as they were the closest thing to a vegetable. Not only that, though, but she could use them for her own devices. Although the granisteel had been tempting, she'd decided that the flowers would be easier to peruse and steel tended to involve digging or underground things... hm.

The best idea she'd had was the mountains--many mountainflowers were rare the desirable, and eventually she had found something, deciding, too, that the view was nice, and the calm air, and the warm climate, decided she might as well just enjoy the site... but of course she had no idea if what she'd found were ironflowers or not. Before she knew it she'd more or less ended up on holiday. Incredibly useful, aren't you Sille?
