This is all traditional ink line art as usual (with a background texture added) The Tree with Alligator Eyes next to Scarecrow is something I created & it's not actually in the comic. A glance into my Swamp Thing 19 cover for DC comics.

This was really my first stab at the iconic character, besides one other portrait drawing.
So this also is my own concept design for Swamp Thing. DC was great & gave me creative freedom to do my own version of him.
Personally my favorite Swamp Thing is Bernie Wrightson's original version. I think he is a unique character, though, in that his visual appearance can change a bit.
I wanted to add more texturing elements and plant details than Wrightson's original, but not bury the human side too much. Especially for a first look at the character and new direction for the comic series.

This is a photo detail of the original pencil before I inked it.

Dragonizor: Into the Amaurotic Abyss (color version)

"As he removed the needles from his split shoulder, several streams of blood spiraled down his arm. Following the crimson trails, small scales began to form, as the infection spread. Around the wound a series of thin, teeth-like bones pierced out from within, crisscrossing the opening and stitching it shut."

Here's new cover art I did for Bloodshot #2 for Valiant. Bloodshot is one of Valiant's toughest and most intense characters, who is often armed to the teeth with weapons. I wanted to focus more on his blade weapons, rather than guns for this cover. And give him a gritty, dark fantasy edge... what I usually do best.

Here's a new scan of my "Sevora" drawing. This is the original ink version, which is all traditional line art.
Sevora is the main female character for my own project "Chaos Destiny"
This one was intended to be a companion piece to my "Athan Cyprus" drawing. Both featuring the characters in my world setting/design with monitor screens or panels at the bottom .
The bottom panels have faces that are drawn in a closer to photo realistic style... the idea was something a bit more personal, basically showing a blur between fantasy and reality.
This is one of my favorite drawings and ranks among the more complicated ones too.
I also did a full color version, actually a couple, but this untouched ink version I think has a different feel.

Here's a present for the holidays, some new art
I did this one for a game company. Actually it was done as 2 drawings, a left and right side.
This is probably the most characters I've drawn in such a small space. It was a complicated one.
Normally I prefer just doing one or a few characters so you can give them more breathing room and add more background or atmosphere that helps tell the character's story.
That said, I was happy with the way this image turned out looking.

I've always wanted to do some drawings based on Batman and his gallery of villains. I finally got a chance to do my take on a few of them with this commission piece.
Some of my favorite Batman versions were the characters in the Tim Burton films. (I also love the new Nolan films) So that was sort of the direction I wanted to go in for this art.
Capture the darker and more gothic feel of Gotham and the Dark Knight. I always gravitate towards these more shadowy and gritty fantasy worlds anyhow

I'm most happy with how my versions of Poison Ivy and Joker turned out. Overall this was bigger than my normal cover type drawings... One of the biggest yet.
And just so I don't upset anyone, this is my take and twist on the Dark Knight and his world. It's not meant to be any of the existing versions of Batman.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on my version of the Dark Knight's world and villains. Thanx!

So here's "The Dragonizor", another creature design/concept from my "Chaos Destiny" universe
