More pics of the Energy Liger MK II custom. The Neo-Zenebas Empire has so many bad ass zoids, and Energy Liger is totally one of them. The thing always looked like a beast and could obliterate everything... and it did. But there were issues I had with the design, mostly the lack of a neck. Also its stats were pretty ridiculous. I can't see chunkers going 660 km/h, energy charger or not. I also can't see it flying with those tiny wings. To me, Energy Liger looked like an indestructible tank.

So with this custom, I changed it to look more like a mass production unit where there's usually a compromise in power for its lower cost. I changed the energy charger to be smaller and internal so it could be better protected under some thick armor. Of course the smaller charger meant less power, so no more flying and a lower top speed. The weapons were also changed to the smaller rifles and laser guns. Removed the unicorn horn in favor of a scope. AND I GAVE IT A NECK!

Will be entering this guy in Tekkoshocon's model contest this year ^^

Yes I actually did get all the decals applied since the last pics lol I always thought the dark green looked good on the Shadow Fox with the gold accents. Really looking forward to the HMM release of this guy ^_^

I really need to retake pics of this guy, but sadly I'm missing some parts to his left fore leg. I know I have them, I just can't find all of them at once. This is one of the few that I've kept to the original colors and tried to make it as close to the anime version as possible. This also meant changing the ankle/wrist parts to red. I also really really hated that orange/red the red parts came as on the original, and the banana yellow claws and teeth. Those had to change immediately lol

Painted this one to be closer to the actual zoid in the anime. Such as how the original model was a light gray, I made it closer to the very dark gray (it's not black) in the anime. I also wanted to really use that metallic red lol

4th place in Zoidspoison's Model Contest

I always thought the Mirage color scheme was lost potential, like it tried to copy King Liger's awesomeness and just failed. (Oh am I the only one who thinks Mirage's colors were based off King's?) White and red are always a good combo, but Mirage just didn't have enough contrast in the colors to really make it stand out, esp when it's next to the awesome color explosion called Night Fight. So I really wanted to make Mirage actually look really nice and be able to stand out on its own.

Fully repainted my HMM Blade Liger Mirage, so yeah, no more pearl D: Changed the pearl to gloss white, the orange-red to crimson red, and the light blue to black... I REALLY hated that light blue XD I mainly wanted to switch the blue to black to add some more contrast. It really makes the white and red details just pop. I do like how they added the brown on the HMM version, I just switched that to a more richer brown. It's actually not as dark as in the pics.

Changed some of the decals compared to what was in the manual. Mostly cuz I thought there were way too many and just cluttered the thing. Also switched the Helic insignia to the old school red and black one. I matched better. Definitely one of the decals I wanted to replace was the huge gaudy CP-12 ones that were suppose to go on the top of the AB unit. Took the red strip decal from the HMM Saix's sheet and made the smaller CP-12 text with numbers from the HMM Command Wolf's sheet.

As you can see, there's already some brotherly love going on between Mirage and Shadow XD They have a cool light vs dark theme displayed by each other.

Oh and the purple light is just a neon light. Makes a cool lighting effect. Everyone always asks me about that XD;
