The fire and the persons going into the fire where life ends and going into the fire. fire in dreams means transformation. It may suggest that something old is passing and something new is entering into your life... Tje tree growing out of her breast suggest that new life grows out of the old . New destination . The planet half n the dark was ment to be that we have to take care of what we do with our source of life. The light as a symbol for an idea, inspiration, and the rocks as a symbol of how things can get in the way, how hard it can be to fullfill something. The key as a symbol for our own patience and hard work. And the clock for our own feel of how we depend on time .... The sketch was more black with fog , black space and moon. As you can guess the idea for this one came up during my periods when i was crawling from the pain and this came image came before my eyes ( the only positive thing for a change <img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/biggrin.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/> ) So i had to paint it <img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/rolleyes.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":roll:" title="Roll Eyes"/> <br /><br />Normally I paint with blue and green tones<br /><br />. First time painting with red tones was a challenge for me.<br />For the body i used a reference photo from a magazine of and old greek statue in black and white.<br /><br />To keep it in my own style i made the head hollow and 'cut of ' the arms and legs to represent how pain does make us feel hellpless : 'like we can't do anything against it' . The balls represent the a womens fertility . The red background should have been calm and spacy but ended up with red stormy clouds..<br />. I may not paint on it anymore from the teacher because she said its done, and if i do more i will go over the top with it. <br /><br />The painting is slightly different then the original <br /><br />latest painting i have started a week ago: I always wanted to paint a portret since i made in school a copy of a francisco de goya painting. That copy i don't have anymore, the teacher never gave it back when it was finished<img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/f/frown.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":(" title=":( (Sad)"/><br /><br />Model comes from <a href="http://mytini.deviantart.com/">[link]</a><br />The photo itself is <strong> not a stockphoto.</strong><br /><br />I was so enthusiastic of that serie that i didn't read the description of all the photo's and accidentally downloaded a non stock photo to use as reference. <br /><br />When i visited the photo again to read the rules, i realized that it was a non stock pic, I noted the photographer with the hope to receive permission to use it as a reference for this painting . And to my great surprise and joy she made an exception.<br />I promised to show some in between steps of the paintings process. So here is the first one . started a week ago i think.<br />Its my first portet i ever paint on canvas with oils. Really since its on the wall ( 1 month ), it fell twice behind our aquarium. First time my fault , i didn't hang it properly on the hook (?) , Second time because our cat got fell off the closet next to the aquarium and she made the painting fall of the wall . And its a small disaster to fish a painting between the wall and an aquarium <img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/rolleyes.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":roll:" title="Roll Eyes"/><br />As you all know by now, the atlantis serie is about loss, and crescendo seemed to be the last one, some kind of closure, but its like they say, time may heal the wounds but the scars remind you of the loss.             </media:community>            <media:description type="html"><![CDATA[ my 2 paintings from the art academy displayed on the exhibition showing what we have done this year ( the moonfae is&#039;t there because it couldn&#039;t fit in the exhibition, so probably next year .<br />one i call frustrations and looks like a explode vulcano flower ( texturized painting) . painting abstract isn&#039;t something that fits me good, for some reason it frustrates the hell out of me. But i do like painting with textures, at least before frustration hits me, and i start to trow with my paint <img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/letters/=p.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":p" title=":p (Lick)" /><br />I should have taken a side shot, so you can really see how the &#039;dirt&#039; is coming out like lava from a vulcano from the centre of the &#039; flower&#039; <img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/biggrin.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)" /> The yellow paint is an example of me losing my patience and started to trow with paint <img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/blush2.gif" width="15" height="16" alt=":blush:" title="Blush" /><br /> Frustrated me like hell, but on the same time lots of fun <img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/biggrin.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)" /><br />made with textures like iron wires, fabric, cherrypits, wood and acrylicpaint on wooden canvas size 50-50cm<br /><br />And the other one i call  "Existenz" in the meaning of what is reality really. How we see reality and how that is often not what others see. This painting is  about narcisme, the way we see ourself and how the media wants influence it , how we cheat ourselves and that time doesn&#039;t stop for us .             <description><![CDATA[ Finished the tears of Atlantis piece<br />still need to get into a frame<br />and the other one is one i&#039;m working on now. i had to do something during the hollidays, while i wasn&#039;t on my pc <img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/g/giggle.gif" width="17" height="15" alt=":giggle:" title="Giggle" /> <br />This one i don&#039;t work on in artclass, there i have another one i work on..<br /><br />Its drawn without reference with the result i&#039;m now in a little mess to get the shadows right<br />The eye i removed till i find a reference to draw a good one and repaint<br />for the body i used  a few photo&#039;s of <a href="http://rachastock.deviantart.com/"><img class="avatar" src="http://a.deviantart.com/avatars/r/a/rachastock.gif" width="50" height="50" alt=":iconrachastock:" title="rachastock"/></a> to get the shadows a bit right . <a href="http://rachastock.deviantart.com/art/Nude-Sit-3-Rachastock-65262590">[link]</a> &lt;- this one got  the closest pose to the one i drew<br />Its the first time i actually try to paint some kind of human figure and for myself i kinde of succeeded , strangly enough <img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/b/biggrin.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)" /> <br />I still need to think a bit more how i will get the transparant dessert that i want to paint, in de piece<br /><div><img src="http://th09.deviantart.net/fs30/300W/i/2008/103/2/7/Oilpaintings_by_azurylipfe.jpg" alt="thumbnail" /></div> ]]></description>            </item>

Its somehow finished and unfinished <img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/c/confuse.gif" width="18" height="15" alt=":confused:" title="Confused" /><br />
The body is almost fully done but the face only has the start, the shadowlayer .<br />
The teacher said that with painting the face the mood of the entire painting would maybe be go away <img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/b/blankstare.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":|" title=":| (Blank Stare)" /> ,so the face was untouched after the basic shadowlayer<br />
<br />
The boobs were a nightmare to paint : in the first try she got a  b and d cup <img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/r/rofl.gif" width="29" height="27" alt=":rofl:" title="rofl" /> now they look good  after some &#039; surgery&#039; <img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/r/rofl.gif" width="29" height="27" alt=":rofl:" title="rofl" /> <br />

I should have take an easier reference to paint, instead of a black and white photo to start my first painting<img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/b/biggrin.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)" /> and second i think to much &#039; digital painting&#039; .You can&#039;t believe how much i cursed because i hadn&#039;t got the redo, delete, layer button<img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/b/blushes.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":blushes:" title="Blush" /> silly isn&#039;t it<br />
