This Serah drawing took me a long time to finish, but it was a good opportunity to practice light hair. A lot corrections were made to get the hair tone right, especially in combination with her skin tone. But i think it turned out just fine and hope you like it.

I wanted to make a fighting pose motion of Lightning, but it should stay as simple as possible, so that it's still doable for me.

So the basic idea was 3 main motions.
1. swinging the blade infront of her
2. swinging the blade to the back of her head and taking it down
3. her cape goes from left to right and back to initial position.

This Animation of roughly 2 seconds consists of 29 frames that I draw.
You can see all 29 raw sketches with and without rough shading below.
I was happy about the result and you need a lot patience to create animation, that's for sure.

many hours were spent on drawing all 29 frames and a few hours editing them together on PC.

With this new deviation i wanted to push myself more and I decided to get some new small and fine brushes for this painting, so i can actually paint all the details better.
In this picture I paid a lot attentions to the beautiful lotus flowers in the water and i must say that this painting has become my favourite so far.

I seriously thought about wether I should use pencil or watercolor for this. Now I'm glad I used watercolor
This is just beautiful, as she gazes upon at the lanterns for the first time.
Emotion and cuteness overloaded, plus the background music playing makes this moment one of my favourite scene from the movie.
Admittedly it's hard to capture her emotion and the atmosphere at the same time. But i'm definitely satisfied with the final result.

I'm glad you like my pencil version of this drawing.
As promised, here is my hand painted version.
Please keep in mind when you watch this that i used watercolor to paint and it's on a A4 paper and the line work is done with pencil.
I have always loved watercolor. Although it's harder to paint details (like her eyes) than with pencils I'm quite satisfied with the result.

I used roughly 8 hours to finish this paint.

I hope you like the colored version as much as the pencil one

This time i decided to upload something completely different.
It's Tidus from Final Fantasy X drawn with watercolor on A1 paper, the drawing was done almost 8 years ago, that's way back in 2003.
It was my first Final Fantasy drawing ever and i used it as a poster in my room.
Before i started to use pencil, i drew a lot with watercolor.
I know that nowdays most poeple color digitally, but i still like traditional medium.
